Today's video is a workout challenge. I've always hated running but for some reason I decided that I wanted to challenge myself to run a 5k everyday for a month. Not sure why. But I'm glad I did. I honestly saw so much improvement over the course of one month, and I think I'm going to make running a part of my routine! Way to go!!! I just started running everyday and I agree running has become my favorite part of the day. I can’t believe I even feel that way because I used to hate it.
Being able to run everyday is quite an achievement. I tried this week and after 4 days needed a rest day. Battling shin splints (which are improving). I am going for 2 days on and 1 day off for my couch to 5 day. If I achieve that I want to try 5km 20/30 days.
Rested for 9 days due to being demotivated... did another run and knocked off 5km in my fastest per minute km.
I discovered that my shin splints were because I was leaning forward while running.
@@JohnM... Omg, I'm having trouble with shin splints for half a year now and nothing really helped. I tried to see if I'm also leaning forward during running and I guess that was the issue! It felt different than running before and it didnt hurt afterwards. I watched so many things to find out whats going on, thank you!!
The best thing to do when you get shin splits during running, run on the tip of your toes for about a min and then run normally rinse and repeat
@@gahlandria1 Get compression socks, I used those for skipping and used to use them for jogging and they helped

Great to challenge yourself and I agree my favourite part of the day. I'm currently running 60 miles in April for Barnardos charity in Ireland so I have rest days. I would recommend for anyone starting out to have one rest day adleast a week your feet and legs will thank you.

Wow 9 min pr is a lot. I like to think i have mental strenght but i am at day 4 of just one mile 😅

wish I can run that far, because you are still young, thus it is still achievable. I'm 43, let's just say, "what the mind wants, the body doesn't agree" 😂
