it is really impressive. I tried to run every second day but I managed only two months before my hips got injured and I needed to have a break for a month and after that I can run once a week without any pain and it sucks. I think it is in the genetics and I can´t run as much as I want and the fact that I am quite old (48 years).

@@78MooMoo78 I’m doing couch to 5k and am on week 5 day 3. I personally think the app is amazing, I’ve never been athletic or ran at all and I’ve seen massive improvements from the past month. Not all days have been super easy but the continuous signs of improvement really encourage me. I’ve tried self training in the past but lost motivation by pushing myself too hard. When I finish the app in 3 weeks I’m probably going to move on to their next app.

@Fred Forbes No need to insult people by telling them they are foolish or a moron. You must, as a physical therapist or simply as a physician, explain to your patients, for example, every effects on the body caused by running everyday without using specific terms, so that they can understand. I’m assuming you already know that. However, the way you “inform” people (although I don’t think it’s the right term, for you insult them more than anything) doesn’t make you look very professional. I’m not gonna be disrespectful by telling you to read more on how to be more polite, yet it would be fun for everybody if you could just act less like you’re the bellybutton of the world and the smartest.

With time, you'll get used to running long distance and speed will come naturally.

@@Wuudy Besides the normal sore legs, back, shoulders, etc. I started having issues with my right foot in the last 60 days. I never got it diagnosed, but it felt like my Achilles or an over worked muscle in my foot. I felt pain in the first mile of my runs, but it would slowly fade away the more I got warmed up. It took about a year and a half to fully recover from it. Still one of my biggest accomplishments ever. 🥺

I'm training for a half marathon and I run 5 km now with a PB of 19 minutes and 24 seconds. I have lost 9 kilograms in the process.
