Nice! Word of advice, shin splints occur when you start reachin out in front with your legs, so just try to find your natural stride and work instead on increasing your pace, congrats on the progress!
You did well. You could cross train and have recovery days when feeling that shin / ankle pain. You really don't want an injury and you will still progress a lot with only 3 to 4 days running a week. Plenty of time to build up mileage and run frequency once your body has adapted enough to do it with less pain ....

Hi there! Sorry this is a year late but if u happen to see this then I’m confused about your average paces and times. For a 5k, an 8 minute pace should get u in the 24:00 min área. Ala, a six minute pace is like, almost elite and you would get 18-19 mins, although your times are slower. Do you fluctuate? Just curious!
Hi! Thanks for watching! I tracked each run with the Nike Run Club app and that shows the time and the average pace. I deffo didn’t do it in 18-19 mins. I think my best time was like 33mins. Maybe cos it’s the average pace?? Not sure 😬
Ahh I just checked and on the app it’s the pace per km. So it would make sense that a pace of 8 per km would take me 40 mins and a pace of 6 per km would take me 30mins.
Your walking pace is my 5k running pace 😂 but because I suffer from flat feet and pretty bad shin splints even if I walk fast but ignoring the pain as I can and foaming and stretching to get the most out
🤣omg the shin splints are the worst!! That's annoying that you get them from walking aswell 😭Do you find the stretching and foaming work a lot or just gives you a tiny amount of relief? Because by the time I finally motivate myself to get up and run, I cbb to add stretching aswell 🤣
@@JazmineAntoinette thank you for your comment ❤️well first time foaming I ran directly afterwards an that was a bad Idea it got worse but , if you do it afterwards it helps a lot and stretching with a band stretching the calves and hamstrings! I really almost cried yesterday because I couldn’t finish the run and I’m so slow but I’m never out of breath and I know I got the potential but the pain is unbearable . So I’m trying to run a 1k run with some speed no matter the pain just to see if I can do it under 7minutes so it will be better and starting with gaining speed first than distance. If I start something I gotta be good or okay , I really had to learn to not give up because the best athletes started somewhere too and you can have progress! 😌❤️

@@JazmineAntoinette l think probably summer time. Because you are a new runner you will have to build up strength in you're legs . The shoes will make a difference , maybe you have been doing too much though? You will find some surfaces more comfortable and as the weight drops it will be less of a pain, l find trails rather uncomfortable because I always wear a road shoe. 🏃🏃🏃🏃👟👟
Yeah and you should have added some recovery between those runs
I agree! But I wanted to do the challenge 🤣
Yasssss bad gyal jaz
😂 thanks girllll ❤️
No way, is that Tooting Common? I've probably ran past you a few times . 😁
Haha probably 🤣
Also not ala
Ok! Lol I thought u wouldn’t see this comment but apparently you did haha. Thx
@@JazmineAntoinette Why did you not keep running/jogging? Like maybe 3 times a week, 5K each time?
Your so cute! And congratulations on the weight loss
Thank you so much ❤️❤️
Well done.
Thank you!
@@ellyshaker That sounds like a good plan you have! Great attitude aswell! You'll eventually get there, just need to keep going! I love the 1km idea, I think I will try that too ☺️ ❤️You should vlog it too, would be nice to see your progress!
hey, saw your comment on Annie Dubés video and decided to pop by and check your channel out! Great content! Keep it up! It inspires me to see others crushing it! #motivation
Thank you so much! I appreciate that 🙏🏽
