I just got the Rival brand lower-end sparring gloves but I've only used them for hitting the heavybag and double-end ball (I didn't stick with boxing long enough to start sparring) but they felt great overall to me. Only thing I didn't like was the fact that they used velcro AND laces, and whenever my trainer helped me tie them, it always felt like he left them too loose and they moved around, which might not have been a problem iff they were less complex. Before I decided that i had to focus...
I personally never owned winnings but I used some and I didn’t see or feel $300+ worth. The Leone I used were the Explosion and The Anniversary ones. I really liked the feel of the Anniversary. That’s my personal opinion and I’m sure it’s different than most but I never understood the hype of The Winnings.
@@matthewmayfield8095 i am planning to buy anniversary too. But not sure about the fit. How is the fit compared to fairtex or windy? What oz did you buy?
They felt similar to my Windy lace up which were 18oz and the only fairtex I’ve had were the bgv1 and bgv 9. They reminded me of the bgv9 but with nicer hand compartment. They’re like a traditional Mexican style boxing glove but I think they aren’t as awkward as a reyes in the hand compartment. I got 16oz and I’m 6’1, 175 pounds. They fit me really good. I miss those glovea
I got some Grants. Imported them like 3 years ago when no one had them and they set me back like £200! $400ish... Still got them and use them and love them :)
My favorite bands are, Ringside, Venum, and Hyabusa. Title isn't very good in my personal opinion, they come in flashy colors and that's what attracts people to them, the title bag gloves are good, but that's about all.
It's totally up to you if they feel good use them, every body is different i like to use light gloves for bag/pads 10oz or 8oz but my mate who's a middleweight won't use use any lower than 14oz, it all depends how heavy you are and if your hands are injury prone.
They're okay for sparring VERY protective around the knuckle area though almost like a bulge of of padding is there, personally i don't like too much protection, but if protection what your looking for they are ideal, also they last quite a while i'd say at least 2 years if only using for sparring, make sure you get th leather ones not the p.u though.
for bag work I use the rival bag mitt (RB5). it's really light and minimal, and they feel great to hit the bag with. it's good for conditioning your hands. still has good wrist support too.
Yes, regular Everlast gloves are crap. However, their Protex2 and Protex2 EverGel are pretty good and reasonably priced. I use the 14oz for sparring and bag work. I noticed a huge difference in the shock my wrist when power hitting. For competition 8oz Cleto Reyes lace ups all the way!
I agree with coach Krause except on his views on Everlast, yes the introductory gloves from everlast suck, absolutely. But the ones made in Mexico (MX and Elite pro fight gloves) are GREAT gloves. I reccomend everyone try it. The fist I can make in those (and even the Powerlock Pro Fight gloves) is 2nd to none!! I don't like winning and cleto Reyes thumb position. It's not comfortable and doesn't make as good a fist.
I stick with the standard Ringside IMFs for training since they're affordable and get the job done without being too shoddy like Everlast's cheaper stuff.
I'm using PRO MAIN EVENT boxing gloves and man are those getting the job done there not to heavy on the hand or too tight for anybody that wants to get them as there first set of gloves I recommend them but I'm looking too upgrade to some grants in the near future
So for hard hitters Reyes are decent? I've been using fighting sports gloves and they're great but they're a bit too fluffy for me. I'm thinking of trying Reyes but some people are telling me I won't like them cause they're not padded enough for a heavy hitter? Seems odd to me seeming Reyes are known as punchers gloves
While I was in the ISAMI store in Tokyo when i was training over in japan I put a winning glove on my right hand and a cleto reyes my left both were 16oz and winning was like a marshmellow and cleto's were like bricks. IMO winnings are the best for training, they'll protect your hands 110% and your stable mates when your sparring. If you're a puncher you should use reyes for an actual fight because they are far less padded meaning more chance for a knockout.
Yeah i already got them, but i got 12oz and they got the same or more padding then my old crappy 14oz. But for bagwork they dont seem to be the best idea. I got some twins 10oz, do you think its better with less padding for bags?
I bought a couple of Everlast gloves but these have very high quality, they are 18onz gloves of real leather and i have had them for 2 years now and they look exactly as when i bought them (y)
Twins are good for durability, but they're definitely shaped for clinching. I find that I can't make a nice solid fist in them like I can with my Reyes.
chickensodelicious true. Hard to make a descent fist and the wrist protection is poor imo. Everlast has really good wrist protection but just like the man said: poor quality.
I've used Hayabusa for over 1 year, heavy bag use some sparring they are comfortable, good protection and durable. There are some obscure gloves out there that are really good like Corti from Argentina, Boon, another German make (not Adidas), Pretorian from Brazil, Ring to Cage then of course you have the legendary Cleto, Grant, Winning.
What's your opinion on Fighting Sports Tri-tech boxing gloves? Would you say that it's an economical glove or a glove that's worth for someone who's taking boxing serious?
+Thé à la Menthe twins are good boxing training gloves are you dumb? Yes I know they are Muay Thai gloves but still for training one of the best longest lasting gloves around💯
Everlast is garbage, I was just warming up with a straight left jab right hook and the Velcro strap literally flew off the glove. Then it forced me to wear some old red glove my dad had in their basement from some garage sell. Never again will I buy a Everlast glove, I'll try to the "Econmy' glove from Ring Side out. I do like the Gold and Black I see on Amazon for 30 bucks. Which by the way are cheaper than the Everlast.
People continuously confuse everlasting for there cheap toy brands. Everlast protex3 evergel are amazing gloves, I actually prefer them over winning, I use them for sparring. Absolutely amazing, great protection for your hand and your partner, the mx are traditional Mexican gloves and can hurt your hand if you do not know how to punch or have weak hands, I use mx for mitt work and heavybag. Nice pop, just too hard for sparring, I like the handplacement over cleto Reyes. Sorry for the essay but I had to lay down the line. This is why you see many pros using Everlast.
Just got a pair of 16 Oz Twins all leather glove. I know a guy with a set that are 8 years old and he uses them five days a week in 14 Oz. They are not my Reyes gloves that I had for 15 years that got lost but the twins are $75.00. Used them twice so far so I have no opinion yet but they are way better then the Ringside and Everlast in that price range I was looking at Morales gloves from Mexico but I don't know anything about them but like the Twins they are hand made from all leather.
Twins are really good and so are Sandee gloves. You can get Sandee gloves pretty cheap and they are long lasting and great quality. You should check out their heavy bags as well, beautiful to punch.
here are the gloves that I used: my first pair: energetics- very cheap, about 25$, very very bad gloves, they have a tone of padding, I don't think you can even knock out an opponent with it, even if he lets you do it, and they make it hard to keep your fists closed, which is bad... my second pair is everlast, fighter edition, with natural skin, they are alright, paid about 100$ for them, they dry very well, if you keep them out of the bag and let them dry, it feels like they are brand new when you put them on, and I have done some stupid things with them, like train without wrappings, or hit walls with them, and they are alright... they last about 1 year if you train twice a day, every day, so yeah, they are worth the money, and they live up to they're name
Both Everlast and Adidas sold at big stores are garbage. Everlast has only nostalgic value as a name from the past and Adidas is a generic sports items brand not even strictly in the business of boxing equipment.

Great video, i personally use 14oz Rival rb20's... I spar and hit the bags in them and they are great, excellent quality and feel really nice when I punch and protect my hand pretty well. I need a new pair because I made the mistake of not wearing innards gloves to prevent my fingernails shredding the inner lining of my gloves over time, especially on my left every time I flick a jab
I own a pair of Cleto Hook and Loops and I would like to ask everyone that dosent own a pair to stop saying Cleto's are the "Punchers" glove or that they have no padding. The Cleto FIGHT gloves are the ones with horse hair for padding, their training gloves are superb, and the leather is buttery soft. After I got these I gave away my Hayabusa gloves its a insult to even have that pair in the same bag as my Cleto's. Cant comment on Winning or Grant. I also owned Title and Bad Boy
i have 2 pairs of 10 oz reyes set of 14oz and 16oz also have blue 12 oz winning 2 14 oz gold & white and 16 oz red i would have to recommend winning over reyes more comfortable to wear especially when sparring and bag work
I recommend Twins Special gloves they are great light strong handmade good impact and really good protection but the bad side of Twins are they are really big and puffy but other then that they are really good gloves and everlast fucked up my wrist and I had handwraps on too everlast is poor quality
I have the Rival RB10 bag gloves. They're awesome, I find that Rivals are the only gloves that put my fist in the right position although I haven't tried grants yet. One day when i'm not poor.
chickensodelicious i wanted to ask you about the Rival RB10 bag gloves with the d3o intelli shock system, i am looking for a glove that will protect my hand and wrist well seeing how i have small wrists and a injury in my hand. so basiclly my question is the d3o Intelli shock a gimmic or does it really protect you hands and also how is the wrist support and do these gloves protect your hand similar to a winning glove or not even close? i know rival is a good brand in my eyes but not sure on the whole intelli shock
Chuck D It's definitely not a gimmick. The extra firm padding makes a huge difference but it does depend how hard you punch. If I hit a heavy bag 3 days in a row, usually my knuckles are sore on the third day. I think winnings protect your hands with thick soft padding and Rival does it with firm dense padding. The wrist support is great too. I'd recommend them.
Trash. I used a pair of Revgears that a guy at my gym found in his trunk after my gym bag got stolen with my pair of gloves inside. Venum is trash as well. As a good rule of thumb, stay away from those MMA-type glove manufacturers like Torque, Revgear, etc. They haven't been in the market long enough to engineer a quality product. Their demographic switches between boxing gloves and grappling gloves so the gloves don't see as much wear and tear potential. If you're a boxer, those gloves will be used day in and day out and be your lifeline. Go with a reputable BOXING brand. As far as starter pairs go, Ringside makes quality economic products for novices. After years and years in the gym, I've found that Cleto Reyes is my preferred brand.
Winning? Yes. Grant? Yes (though the prices for their gloves have jumped to an arguably unreasonable level). Reyes? Sorry, no. Unless you're fighting, buying a pair of Reyes gloves is not a good investment. They just don't seem to be made for longterm training. Windy, Fairtex, Twins and other Thai brands are comparable in quality, performance and durability to their Mexican & Japanese counterparts, but for a fraction of the price. People may disagree and that's fine. To each his/her own.
I love my reyes gloves. Remember that there are gloves for pros (fight gloves) , for sparring, for hitting the bag and all-around gloves. Then there's the garbage from Big 5. Keep up these videos with Klause. I like them more than the ones just asking people ther opinions.
I own a pair of PRO-BOX gloves, they feel A LOT more comfortable than the Londsdale, Everlast, Noco, Velo etc pairs of gloves that are in the boxing gym that I go too. I don't know how they compare to Grant, winning, or rival though. Good price too only about €40, had them 6 months and are still in great shape.
im new at boxing i have like 4 months of boxing and im tired of put my hand on sweaty boxing gloves so i want my gloves but am not sure if i should buy the venum challenger 2.0 or the TITLE Boxing Pro Style Leather Training Gloves wich should i buy
Omg elie let the man finish talking damn it. I wanted to him to bust out the Reyes and talk a little more about them.
RIVAL AND REYES YOU CANT LOOSE!!!!!
This guy has the swag of a '70s carsalesman, i like it
ringside is underrated.... tried all brands named and my ringside are still my go-to gloves
How about twin special and fairtex made in Thailand?
Robert Zantua ringside fucked my wrist. Not a punchers glove
Art of Peek-a-Boo style to each his own
Robert Zantua I got two pairs of 10oz lace gloves for 20 bucks :D
Did you get the right pair?
for muay thai brands: fairtex, twins, top king, sandee, windy, boon
And the best is?
What about venom?
what about Casanova gloves ?
Cleto Reyes!! Awesome gloves!!!

I like the Lonsdale pro fight training lace up glove 14/16/18 oz nice leather and good thumb, stitching is real heavy duty. RRP £99 sale-£48.50
What about Benlee Rocky Marciano gloves? found some really nice ones.
Rivals are pretty good
Yeah. Really nice hand compartment because of the cotton lining, and good grip. But they get stinky easily compared to other brands like fairtex.
Jack Johnson thinks this review is baloney.
Also a excellent review in this video. A guy who has them all and his honest opinion's. Obviously not sponsored by anybody.
Best boxing gloves I’ve ever used:
5: Windy lace up
4: Reyes
3: winning
2: Leone
1: In Fight Style

chickensodelicious i wanted to ask you about the Rival RB10 bag gloves with the d3o intelli shock system, i am looking for a glove that will protect my hand and wrist well seeing how i have small wrists and a injury in my hand. so basiclly my question is the d3o Intelli shock a gimmic or does it really protect you hands and also how is the wrist support and do these gloves protect your hand similar to a winning glove or not even close? i know rival is a good brand in my eyes but not sure on the whole intelli shock
I'd recommend them.
chickensodelicious thanks alot for getting back to me im going to try them out worth the shot rival has never let me down
Are top kings good?
Whats an honest opinion on the Venum elite
And revgear gloves
To each his/her own.
what do people think about rival rb1 super bag gloves? ive heard they are good but some people disagree?
I love my reyes gloves. Remember that there are gloves for pros (fight gloves) , for sparring, for hitting the bag and all-around gloves. Then there's the garbage from Big 5. Keep up these videos with Klause. I like them more than the ones just asking people ther opinions.
Rival are good gloves, i have a pair and feel quite comfy, but i bought some cletos and dont use rival anymore
I've settled on Rival. Love them.
Will probably buy some Winning's someday.
Great video, would like to see what this guy has to say about which are the best boxing shoes and best affordable boxing shoes next :)
im new at boxing i have like 4 months of boxing and im tired of put my hand on sweaty boxing gloves so i want my gloves but am not sure if i should buy the venum challenger 2.0 or the TITLE Boxing Pro Style Leather Training Gloves wich should i buy
venum they are much better
