The menu doesn't come up because you hold it instead of tapping, holding it resets your position in immersive apps just like on the controllers.
You can use the RUclips app in pass through using the shrink button on top of its window which makes it a panel, also you can use a button on the bottom menu's left side to make the panels large and can resize them using a white bar under the panel itself.
I thought the video is a solution for the graininess but nope.. Not a huge issue for me anyway though, btw the warping is there to make close objects more like you're viewing them from your eyes so moving around them is more comfortable, it does warp but helps with it, if you cover the depth sensor in the middle you'll see direct camera views without warping which shows what's going on.
It wasnt working even when i tapped it. And when holding it, it shouldve brought my default windows in front of me but thag didnt work either.
RUclips VR is great and i was able to do passthrough right after.
Ya that warping when you put your hands closer, doesnt happen on the AVP.
But its fine tho. It was just needed to be mentioned in real time.
The passthrough I think will get better just because zuck is already trying to achieve better passthrough from AVP.
@@techtrx for me the menu using hand works well, you may need to do it quicker (I'm on v62 though where it brings a quick menu when you hold, which is gone by default on v63 replaced by the reset position function, but there's an option in the settings to bring the quick menu back)
@@sara_m it happens most often for me where it would stop working and ill have to use the controllers for a bit and then the hand gesture starts to work well again till randomly it doesn’t
@@techtrxhold the pinch. I can see the load icon when you pinch it tho hold longer..or you can change how you do it in settings.
@@LoreLibrary-Officialya it was just buggy tho. I had to use my controllers and after i did that it worked fine.

If the AVP, which costs 7x more than the Quest 3, didn’t have better pass thru and UI experience that’d be a big fail for Apple. But I have a feeling we’ll be seeing some big improvements coming for the Quest 3 now that Meta has seen Apple’s vision…

They can at lease release meta quest pro 2 because I like the feel of the pro better than the 3
But honestly its all good for the consumers. Because we get to see real competition now

And he doesn't know much about it. You need to hold the pinch to open and close the menu it, you can change how you do it btw. And RUclips can also watch while passthrough. And my quest 3 isn't that grainy yes it is worse then avp but for the price you already expect it. He didn't read or do any instructions. Didn't go thru the setting and do any research on it. Theres a lot of things he thought he cant do but can

Lol people just compare a 400/500£ to a 3500£ headset 🤣🤣🤣 quest 3 is for games and have a decent pass through for some games. Anyway if you are rich get the avp and brag about it with no decent games and just see movies on it

This is bogus info. I have a Quest 3 since it's launch last Oct and the passthrough is not as bad as you show it to be. Hand tracking is good, not like you are showing since you keep holding your fingers pressed together. You need to go through the tutorial on hand gestures and play a few games that use hand tracking to learn how to use your hands properly. You are very novice. SMH
Thanks for the information. I’m glad you have a better experience than i do. But when i pinch my finger it didn’t show the menu right away and holding it should’ve actually reset all the screens in front of me which it didn’t.
These small quirks however was fixed by restarting the device. But there are times where it wouldnt work again. But easy fix. As per the passthrough, it’s very inconsistent, not all quest 3 have the same high quality passthrough as it records.
