I agree with your idea bout how the Walking Dead should have taken it's concepts further when it came to potentially Rick taking over Alexandria in a more brutal and hostile way, because from a character standpoint, it also shows the audience and Rick himself about why there needs to be order. In current day society we take a lot of the ideals we stand by for granted, many people don't understand what it means to enact their word, if Rick in a short lapse of time, actually does become the villain, it does show the importance of ethics. However I understand why the writers didn't go this route because it would diminish the role that Negan plays later on when it comes to the story, and honestly he wouldn't be as impactful as he did.

Rick wouldn't have needed to become the bad guy, he's already a force that you either join or die. The difference is that rick has his group and carl to keep him from becoming full negan
The comic is SO much better than the show, it's amazing they're both supposed to be telling the same story.
One has believable characters, having realistic conversations, placed in HORRIFYING circumstances that make you actually feel for them, the other is like it was written by 12 year olds who have the characters do and say whatever the writers need from them so they can force dumb tent pole ideas into their lames scripts, character consistency, or believable dialog be dammed.
I collected the comic all the way up till volume 25, and unfortunately, by that point, the comic was starting to become more and more like the show, and I tapped out.

I read all the way up until neagon was introduced that's when it was up to date haven't went back since always wanted to just haven't done it
It's sad what they did to that show. Almost as bad as the last 2 GoT seasons.
Walking Dead is the only tv show I liked that I dropped a few seasons before the end because it got unbearable
@@RealLifeRyan Yeah me too, I stopped watching towards the end of the war with that scavanger group they ran into. I forget what they were called, but they used to feed people into a scrap grinder machine dohicky.
@@RealLifeRyan After Negan it dropped a lot season9 was just meh. But season 10 and 11 really got it up massively, Angela Kang did such an amazing job with the series that I couldn't believe it and the ending even though was rushed for me I felt it ok. Of course some things are not well done but man, I think after Negan season 10, 11 and 12 were amazing, in terms of cinematography, writing acting, it was all superb!
