I thought I would share this in case anyone has the same problem. For some time now, my Miele W412 hasn't been dispensing the fabric conditioner properly. I tried all the usual fixes of cleaning out the drawer and the housing, including using a pipe cleaner to give it a good clean, but nothing worked. Due to its age (12 years old) and having another issue with it (doesn't always do last spin at fast enough speed) that it probably wasn't worth the cost of having serviced or repaired. I decided to just persevere with it for another year and replace, but the fabric conditioner thing was really bugging me. This morning I put my finger right down the hole at the back of the housing and felt a hard, rough lump. I assumed it was limescale, but limescale remover and a brush wasn't moving it. I decided to have a good dig around with a teaspoon and it started chipping off. I just ran a wash and it is now working fine (apart from the spin issue, that sometimes just needs an extra spin at the end of a cycle)

I had a blockage above the tray (there is a small hole where water is jetted in). I found the best thing to do is to run a couple of cycles with a washing machine cleaner to loosen the gunge, then get a pipe cleaner, and shove it up the holes, wriggle it about a bit and pull out as much of the gunk as possible.
Did this, next cycle no problems, tray completely clear. FYI putting the cleaning stuff in once a month will avoid it blocking up again.
Never thought I'd be posting washing machine tips on YT, but there you go, that's adulting.

Thanks for the video , fixed the problem (powder left in drawer, clothes smelling and not washing properly) straight away. Just wish I found this before I stripped and clean most of the washers pipes, pump and drainage hose 🙈🙈🙈🙈🤣🤣🤣🤣. Turned out to be just blocked inlet holes as in video .
    Best wishes
    Steve

Thank you! I accidently put vanish powder in the middle part and My draw was just filling with water and not draining. Had a good clean and a big chunk of vanish had gotten wedged inside the escape pipe. I was also worried if I pulled draw out I'd break it.

I have this model of washing machine and I found just putting your hand in the water dispenser when you remove tray and grab lever at the back and all comes down perfectly.

Thanks for the tutorial. Can you explain what program did you use and the steps at 1:15? it's quite unclear how to turn on and off the machine in order to prevent flood.
I was wondering if the washing soap became harden, what can be done in order to remove it? I have the same machine.

I know this is an old video, but at the end you mention that if its still full at the end of a cycle your syphoning system needs cleaning. I've cleaned the dispenser and the hole sprays at the top, however I'm still not getting a syphoning action. Any ideas or a different video of yours that might help me? Thanks!

First find out exactly where the leak is occurring. Once you know that, it will be easier to address. Depending on where the leak is, either apply epoxy putty over the damaged area or replace the part completely.
