Water leaking from washing machine dispenser - easy fix

Is water leaking from you washing machine dispenser drawer and you are about to call an engineer to fix it? Don't! Washing machine detergent dispenser is most likely leaking because of the dirt and limescale which accumulated in the drawer over the years.
A build-up of grease and black slime in the nozzles at the top of the dispenser where the water runs in can cause water to spray to the front and run out of the soap dispenser when filling. Some washing machines can flood water out of the soap dispenser if the hose leading out of the dispenser into the tub gets blocked, for instance by undissolved powder from a tablet or lumps of detergent.
If this is the case, you will be able to fix it yourself. Give the dispensers drawer a good scrub and thoroughly clean the inside of washing machine where it goes. It might not be the quickest job. If you have hard water and/or haven't maintained your washing machine regularly, it will take a while to remove the deposit and dirt. Soak in in vinegar, which will dissolve the limescale. If you leave it overnight, you won't spend much time on scrubbing.

If it’s dirty clean it with the soap and cloth black bits it’s so hard to take it out but I try it so hard to clean it

You can definitely take it out. You have to press something or lift it up. Depends on the device. In the device in the video, you need to press a button and it pulls out easily.

I kept it overnight. If the slimescale is very bad, you will peobably have to soak the paper in vinegar again
