The reason Captain America looks the same after 70 years is because his body was frozen and preserved in ice after he crashed in the Arctic Circle/North Pole and no one found him for 70 years. The saddest part of this movie for me was missing out on his date and life with Agent Carter since 70 years has passed
"I ain't gonna kiss ya!" that line from the colonel has to be one of the best lines in the MCU lol. Great video as always man, looking forward to the next one!
I love when Bucky kicks the bully right in the ass haha. the Captain America trilogy is truly a standout in the MCU. the first Capt. film I think it's an under appreciated gem and will only go on years down the line to be regarded as one of the better orgin stories put on film
I would consider this one of the underrated MCU films, but it takes a long journey to appreciate why all told. Steve Rogers will only go on to be one of the top tier Avengers from here on out.
This movie is back in the 1940s, so Howard Stark is Tony Stark's dad.... however this actor is one of 3 different guys who played Howard in different MCU movies (and the Agent Carter TV series)
This quote always stuck with me. "Every soldier is a warrior. Not every warrior is a soldier." I was reminded of that when you said "he's a damn good soldier y'all." Damn straight man. Damn straight.
"Let's hear it for Captain America!" Fantastic reaction! And again, welcome back! 😊 This is my favorite character "origin story" tied with the first "Iron Man" movie. The blue cube is called the tesseract. You'll see it pop up throughout your MCU journey. Howard Stark is Tony's father. I've always liked that how Dominic Cooper, who plays Howard Stark in this movie, looks so much like Robert Downey Jr. Marvel is really good with the casting in all of their movies and shows. Up next: "The Avengers" Looking forward to your next reaction. 😊
The whole speech about the serum making anything on the inside greater then how it was is basically a metaphor for the old philosphy that , to understand somene's true nature you have to give them power and see how they use
The blue cube is called the tesseract an element contain a special power. The red skull in the beginning called it an Odin (Thor’s father) treasure and this where Loki was trying to catch it when he got caught by Odin. You will see a lot of these in the MCU series and it’s important to catch up with them because it related to all upcoming movies
"I Like Her" Her name's Peggy Carter, there's a series on Disney+ titled "Agent Carter" that's set roughly 2 years after the ending scene of this movie and the actress who plays Peggy in this, Hailey Atwell, reprises the role in the series
Man I love that you're back, missed ya bud. Captain America is my favorite in Marvel, good dude all around the board and glad you had a good time watching this one. Looking forward to watching along with ya
Mr. Video!!! Damn glad to have you back!!!! Cannot wait for your reaction to the Avengers!!! If you thought Marvel was good before, we now going BOSS LEVEL!!!
Great having you back for these MCU movies! Fun fact- The woman who kissed Captain America is Natalie Dormer, the actress who plays Margaery Tyrell in Game of Thrones.
Fun fact for It’s Mr. Video: The blonde female character that kisses Captain America and then they both get caught by Peggy Carter, is played by Natalie Dormer who also plays Margaery Tyrell in Game of Thrones.
So glad to see you back self care is important so you can enjoy your life and what you do. Thank you for the movie reactions videos its like watching the movie for the first time again with you, I can't wait to see your reaction to Captain America: Civil War.
i LOVE this community, I can watch Leos whole reaction and just scroll down all the comments and enjoy everyone's take from it. LEO keep doing what you do bro, you got the best community on youtube hands down.
Favorite Super Hero. H E DOUBLE HOCKEYSTICKS YA!!! This is a great MOVIE! I got the Marvel artist who did the black and whites of Cpt. America. He did the hulk, thor and spiderman too! (got those autographed for my brother and two friends). I got them as a bonus for working late on a project for the guy. :)
When this movie first came out, I ain't gonna lie, I wasn't a fan. Over the years and years tho it has definitely grown on me and it's became one of my favorites.
This movie seemed to be hit and miss for many people and I can't help but feel the older you are the more relatable it is. Maybe I'm wrong. I'm 54 so the end of WW2 was barely 25 years removed for me. I think younger people might have trouble relating to how things were back then possibly? News was either provided in print or in theaters before and after the feature film itself as an example. I thought this film was one of the best and really introduced Cap well all taking place during the lead-up to WW2 ending.
The scary thing about HYDRA is a number of the weapons you see in this movie, the Nazis actually had in WWII. One was the massive tank you see Captain America blow up; it was known as the Ratte; a tank large enough to crush trees and houses while being equipped with the cannons you see on a battleship. The reason it wasn't mass produced was Germany was in short supply of materials such as oil, and the tank was far too heavy to be transported by train, which resulted in it being cancelled by Albert Speer. The other was the Amerika bomber, which is what Red Skull's plane was based off of. Germany wanted to create a bomber that could cross the Atlantic and bomb the East Coast. It was destroyed in 1943.
Yeah, mate, but Germany unnecessarily pouring money into stupid-ass megaprojects that are of zero use in actual warfare just because Adi's got a tiny cock isn't exactly scary.
@@richardstephens5570 A number of "Nazi super weapons" were in line for production, but were scrapped when the Soviets were pushing them out of occupied territories. The Nazis often destroyed their weapons rather than let it fall into enemy hands; from the battleship Bismark to the Schwerer Gustav railgun to the V-3 cannon. And while thankfully the Uranverein wasn't close enough to build an atomic bomb, the fact Nazi Germany was involved in the race to possess and use one is downright scary.
My dude it feels so good to see you again. Was worried about ya after that second video call. Not to mention. My man you cleaned up good but I think I liked the beard a bit lol happy you back bro!
I get soooo excited watching these movies again!!! Avengers!!!! You are on point with the characters interacting together…it’s a blast and what makes Marvel writing so good!!! It’s too fun! A nice escape in my opinion!! Again, I’m stoked your back and can’t wait for Avengers!!!!!!!
Did you noticed the guy from the church in 2:33 is Walder Frey from Game of Thrones? he is also in Harry Potter, i cant remember the name of the character but he is the "janitor" of Hogwarts
First off: Love ya Mr. Video! Okay. I must mention this. Just like books-to-movie/tv show, comic books are the same. What differs is that these characters will always be with us and evolve with the time. If anyone loves a comic book movie, just do a three minute google on it. Do I have to mention A Song of Fire and Ice that you've been watching Coz?
There's a couple actors from Game of Thrones in this. Walder Frey was in the beginning, in the tombs. And Lady Margery was the blonde that kissed Steve before Cap got his shield.
Howard Stark is the father of Tony. He looks young because it's the 40s!
Lmao I’ve never heard someone call him his cousin, that was a first. Haha

I love war movies and the romance between peggy&steve is great
Bruh..I can't believe you didn't notice the difference between the 40's and 2010's. :) Keep watching, you got more than 20 movies to go in the MCU.

I'd strongly say it's my second favorite earthbound Marvel movie so far after "Iron Man"
Peggy at the end sometimes still makes me tear up 💔
It really is underrated.
#TeamCap
I think both his movies are underrated
agreed, coming from someone who wasn't a cap fan until winter soldier. knowing Cap's arc afterwards has made the first avenger better in retrospect
Captain America films are all awesome. And they only keep getting better.
