Funny story about Toad River. I was temporarily stranded at the Cafe for about 4 hours due to crazy weather that forced me and my dad to land on their tiny air strip(1999). When the weather cleared, we taxied our plane across the highway and fueled up at the Cafe gas station. Our plane was too heavy to take off on the small dirt strip, so we had some Cafe patrons drive each direction on the highway and block traffic and we used the Highway as our runway. Super cool, once in a lifetime experience.
This has to be the most underrated RUclips channel. With great content, magical truck house, handsome multi-talented host, Alaskan paradise, stunning drone footage, thrilling adventures, melodious title song each video should be easily getting over 100k views. I just love this channel
Same! I’m binging. Went to Alaska last May and I haven’t been able to stop thinking about it since. With these kickass videos I’m able to relive it and also serves as inspiration for me 😊
About to drive through my hometown Whitehorse. Been in Australia most my life, but did make it back to the Yukon in my late twenties when I was living in Fernie.
Loved that Raven, he was your welcoming committee at the station. They are so smart. Hot springs stop was welcoming too. Love that. You keep plowing on Timmy, you'll be home b'fore ya know. Well, you all ready are 😉.
Sorry for your loss. My wife and I will traveling the Alaska highway this summer for our move back to Alaska. Will be stopping at Laird Hot Springs. Thanks for posting that.
Double G! Had a great dinner there with the owners and stayed in a room. A wounded black bear decided to eat the bugs off the front of my car and put some good bite marks in it before we chased it off. Made for a great story for years!
It's been an awesome series to watch. Thanks for taking us along. My condolences for your stepdad. The older you get, when you loose someone, you put a deeper perspective on things, and re-prioritize the basics. Peace to you
I plan to do the trip some day, just waiting for Canadian law to change, as of now I’m an untouchable and not welcome in Canada. Maybe some day Canada will again be free and welcome freedom loving travelers!
Life. Death. Nothing is still something... Fascinating, exactly my thoughts, exact words I've said. Awesome feeling relating to an awesome dude, not only in truck life but deep contemplation as well! Sending my condolences for your loss... Love you and your content Timmy! Thanks for all you do and the inspiration!
I had a 96 f150 and it was a pretty beat up work truck… but my wife and I still talk about getting another one some day… I love that body style especially because ours was the same color as Bigfoot the monster truck…. Now that I see how awesome your truck is I think I’m gonna go diesel if I can find one in l.a. Btw we had to get rid of it because we needed more passenger space for our kids… so we got a 4 runner… which was another great truck… love your videos bro…
We're down! EPIC ROAD TRIP!! LMAO re: Toad River burritos and Dr. Phil. Great you hit Liard hotsprings. Been a few times. Always awesome. Very sorry you lost your step-dad. 💘 Thanks for the awesome vids. 👍😎🇨🇦
Sorry for your loss Timmy and keep on enjoying every day of your life, because as my cousin told me years ago at my grandmother’s funeral, every time someone passes away we move one step closer to the casket. He passed away just a couple years later.
I 1000% agree with the quiet! my radio stopped working not long after buying my truck, didn't bother me nun, I love the thinking time! The ear out on my ruck running and whats going smooth and when something goes wrong!. I'm sorry for your loss.. You inspire me, to give myself more options in life to live and do what you love!!! , and share along the way! How you live your dash! It means so much!! Thank you for your videos , thank you for your time spent to bring us all along!! Keep errrrr goooiiiinnn!!!
Luv the hot springs . Allways one of the highlights of the trip.Reminder to remove your jewellery or will get highly discolored.Wifey was pissed......lol.
Really been enjoying this series. You have made it entertaining and have done an excellent job making us feel like we were there too. You seem to be quite genuine. ✌️
@@TruckHouseLife The bigger question, are you going to keep traveling, or is this the end of the road.. Really enjoyed your content, but all good things do come to an end.
Your AK content really helps me feel closer to home. I’m from Juneau, but lived in Anchorage for 6 years. Having driven the ALCAN quite a few times, Liard is a must stop if it’s open! I always enjoy it.
Thank you for the great adventures! You are young- so enjoy this time to explore and enjoy life! You are fortunate to have the desire and energy to do what you do!
Man, if the highlight of my day was watching "The Dr. Phil Show" while chomping on a gas station burrito, I'd probably take a hot bath and open a few veins... Love your videos, Timmy!
This brings back memories, I always parked in that lot across from the entrance, then hiked in with my skidoo suit on. Just awesome in the winter time.
Enjoyed your video. You’re an inspiration for many. Makes me wish I was younger. You’ll have many stories to tell your grandkids someday. Don’t stop what you’re doing man. Peace out ✌️
My condolance to your loss of step sad. They can like with you be important. Even when they Are gone they can and will be in memories n thoughts from time to time 🌻
Hey Timmy Man you are so inspiring brother!! I’ve got a 97 7.3 4 door long bed. I’m hopefully going to start the transformation this year to a camper like you have done. So ready to hit the road. Sorry about your pops. Lost my mom to the same thing in 1985. Keep on trucking!! PEACE
Beautiful video, those hot springs look nice! Love the lasagna baking as you drive that crazy highway. Sorry for your loss of your step dad. Live each precious moment. Stay safe man. Love you 💜
Thank you for being tough but tender man, and open to sharing your thoughts rounds out your content beautifully. Tough adventurer with a soft touch, all good.
Digging the return to longer format. Was just feeling like it was going to end in a few at 8:40 and then you mentioned the hot springs. Was so mesmerized by the beginning I totally forget. ✌🏾
Great video. Big memories from my '06 bike trip. Looks like same Buffalo herd I sailed through. Those bridges with the grating are a different thing on a motorcycle. Gotta just relax and let her sway back and forth!
I'm glad to see the Buffalo are still along the road. I stopped at the hot springs on my way to Alaska. It was late spring that year. Absolutely beautiful in the winter.
Awesome videos Timmy, I like how ya call out where you are passing by or stopping out, i like to follow along with Google Earth... Kinda cool. Be safe brother.
Your videos are like medicine to the people who watch. Thank you tremendously for the effort and your skill to capture the world from Your eyes. I like your outlook on life. I’ve witnessed a handful of older folks in my life who stated we are gonna continue to work full time and after we reach 65 then we will retire and enjoy life and travel and meet people, but they passed away before they got the chance because they had there eyes focused on money and not the fact of there fast ageing bodies. a school teacher who was a health nut who died of cancer at 57, a dentist who died of Alzheimer’s at 64, a city worker who died at 54 from a bad liver, and a construction worker/owner who suddenly died of a stroke right before retirement. All those people worked there entire lives and never got to feel true freedom of a balanced lifestyle it was all work no life kinda thing. So I’m very greatful on how you display to people how to make a proper life and not to just live it. Because too many people in this world live there lives but don’t actually get the benefit to actually live at all.
Love what you do,. Do what you love and the money will come. If you do what you love and get paid for it, you never work a day in your life. Keep living your dream.
We've enjoyed jumping into RUclips. As you said, make sure what you're filming is your passion. We do this with the main purpose of having a video diary of our adventures for ourselves to look back on and for our friends and family to check in and see what we're up to. We love your stuff and I can't WAIT to see Alaska!
When I was flying single engine aircraft in central New Hampshire in the winter it was mandatory we carry a winter 'crash bag' that had heavy insulated boots w/ winter socks, insulated, waterproof bibs/pants, heavy winter jacket, winter hats, heavy gloves, communication radio/phone, matches, and survival gear in case we crashed in the middle of nowhere and had to survive for hours, overnight, or longer.
Glad to see the hot springs absolutely, glad you got the channel because I know of you since the Toyota Dolphin Cage Free days by the river, you getting Env Sci degree, do you talk about that, always did wonder whatever happened to you, everything made sense when I saw the priceless video of your dad’s home.

About to drive through my hometown Whitehorse. Been in Australia most my life, but did make it back to the Yukon in my late twenties when I was living in Fernie.
We broke down in Toad River 2 summers ago. We were driving home to North Pole with our new-to-us RV that we bought in Post Falls Idaho. Small world!
lol
Wow, the hot springs how nice. So pretty!! I could just be a fly on you window and watch your whole drive live. Be careful!
An episode of Dr. Phil and a gas station burrito. I think there’s a song there but I think the Statler Brothers have already sang it.
Drone shots and footage of the springs is beautiful!

You should think about doing yellow covers or getting yellow led lights for snow and Dust, I dune and Yellow helps in the dust and the snow.
Yup I have yellow covers, but they dull the spots too much.
