How to Draw a Realistic Eye with Coloured Pencils

You have been asking for this one! And I have delivered! YES!!! Remember you can support the channel by sharing this video with your friends, family and classmates! :) I would really appreciate that.
In this video I will show you how to draw a realistic eye using coloured pencils. Why do some say colored and some say coloured? Well, nevermind! In this video you will need a graphite pencil, obviously colored pencils ( for eye colour and skintones), an eraser, a blending pencil or a white pencil for blending, and a white gel pen.
When drawing a realistic eye with colored pencils the most fun and challenging part is drawing the iris. In this video I chose to not choose an eye colour - instead I chose ALL of them! So if you can draw blue eye, green eyes and brown eyes you can draw ALL eye colours! It was my hubby's idea! And I think it looks really cool! That makes this tutorial something you can use no matter what eye colour you have as you can see how to fill in and blend both the dark variations and the light ones.

Wow!!!! Your channel is WAY under recognized! I was expecting you had a million followers here with how amazing thus tutorial was! I'm saving this video and probably many more of yours. I cannot wait to sit down in my studio tomorrow and to follow thus tutorial. Thank you so much for being so kind to other artists and helping us along our journey by giving free thorough and really informative easy to follow tutorials. A lot of artists are really good at timelapsing and then suddenly the drawing has complete changed into a whole different drawing. Some may not notice why they aren't able to get things to work the way the tutorial shows but some who have more experience and are paying really close attention see that it's not the drawing it was 3 seconds ago! It's frustrating. When I was in nursing school they used to say "don't ask for help because nurses eat their young" and the metaphor was totally true. I sometimes find that in the art world too. But nowhere near as much.
You are a breath of fresh air so thank you so much for caring for us as we struggle through this difficult but wonderful journey learning to draw.

There were lots of tips and tricks I learnt when I was drawing the eye and it helped a lot for an example I learnt how to draw a pupil (the coloured bit) realistically

I always draw portraits in black and white pencil. I've got red/green color blindness, inherited from my grandfather on my mother's side.
However, this tutorial has inspired me to explore color portraits!!!

I know this was done a few months ago but this eye looks absolutely awesome, i have always had problems with eyes and skin colours etc. I have polychromos so this really helps with colour choices. You have a new sub for sure :).. Btw my eyes change colour depending on my mood but they are a kinda green colour :D Atm its 5am for me hehehe so when i wake up i might just get started on doing one of my own and rewatching your awesome tutorial. Well, it's a very nice video of a realistic eye with color pencil I was searching this type of video so that I can try with pencil color pencil but in the middle of your video, your nails caught my eye, nice nail color though.
I used a lot of green with my skin colors and it look beutiful! Picasso 💅

Erm, bit of advice. If you use Staedtler pencils, select your colours carefully especially the skin tones bc Staedtler pencils are really vibrant even if you shade lightly

Very good realistic drawing tutorial, imma try it out later, and does it mater the type of pencils you have? I think you were using prisma colors or castell but i use arteza so it might come out a little different for me.

Really enjoyed this tutorial. I wanted to improve upon my portraits that I do and this really taught me a lot about myself. I was using only a set of 12 coloured pencils and some handmade paper since I only started about two months ago. But after this, I'm really going to invest in some better supplies. You Can blend with a colour close to or the same as the ones you are blending with
I was watching the video and drawing what you did but there were a few times where I didn’t understand so I went back and rewatched where I messed up and still couldn’t figure it out.
It was when coloring the eye stills couldn’t figure it out

@@NinaBlangstrup Is there a slower version of this cause I tried to slow it down and that didn’t work my brain is pretty slow and trying to catch up I was trying my best it’s just that the instructions are too fast and so is the video
