Suffering is hard. It produces the fruits of the spirit.
Very true!
❤ you Joni, no affiliation in Heaven, get weepy sometimes thinking about how much He loves us and His mercy...
Yes, I am suffering greatly--my body is worn out from 38 years of chronic illness. Each day gets harder. I know the love of Christ and that He is always with me. The day to day pain and in my case uncontrolled nausea just seems unbearable. BUT, GOD!!!! I feel a very Holy presence around me and my faith is strong. Even so, we are human and sure don't enjoy suffering!!! I know it will end when He calls me home!! If I was not sure of that, I would be without hope!!! Hope is so important!!! Right now it is everything!!!
I can so relate to this feeling and I have not suffered anywhere near as long. The pain and fear can be so difficult to deal with sometimes but Jesus is always there. Sometimes He lets me know that He is here but many times there is no special feeling. Of course I long for the times when I can actually feel and am physically aware of His presence but I know He is there either way. I am learning to walk in faith but its so hard sometimes. Thank you for sharing your experience and I pray the Lord will ease your suffering and fill you with the Holy Spirit!! I live in the hope that we will ALL be healed forever when we are called home. (via rapture or our time comes first) God Bless!! I will see you there :)

Love your messages on here! :) God bless you
I love you, Joni. You’ve helped me through so much. I’m currently experiencing some physical pain and can’t get to sleep and I’m praying for you. I pray you have a good nights sleep free from pain (as you’ve said every night is a struggle). I pray I can be a sweet person in my own affliction and radiate Jesus like you do. I once heard “A crushed grape either gives you sweet or sour”. When we are “crushed” by life’s circumstances, our hearts reveal if we are a sweet grape or a bitter sour grape. May I always be sweet when I’m crushed.

"Remember all God has given you, remember the love of Christ." Mahalo nui loa Joni fo da encouraging words 💒
Hello Joni. I am trying to remember the love of Christ that God loves us more than anyone else and his love is everlasting. I’m trying to almost convince myself of that because my circumstances have been deteriorating for three years straight on every level, physical, financial, emotional and spiritual, I’ve lost hope and sometimes the love of the Lord doesn’t seem to be enough and it brings me shame because his grace is supposed to be sufficient. I wish I had your strength and determination. I do recall you saying multiple times when you were in a state of despair after your accident how you had friends that didn’t give up on you that came to see you and spent time with you and share the gospel. I do believe for the most part when people have adequate love in their lives, whether it be from a spouse or whether there be from friends or family that they can get through anything, but without enough love, I feel like most people will perish.
Amen! Thank you Joni.

Is the love of Christ simply one to know and proclaim in our thoughts and minds, or can it be palpable, felt?
This is a great question, Craig. We would encourage you to reach out to our Response team at response@joniandfriends.org. They would love to share more with you on this. God bless you!
