I’m at my absolute lowest after 20 years of constant pain from several chronic conditions. My heart believes He is what He says He is, but the pain, the absolute bone-shattering fatigue is just too much. I don’t want to fail Him! I just want to be able to rest. I just want to be with Him.
I’m sorry you’re going through that pain. I’m praying for you this morning, for healing, for emotional strength, for your mind to be filled with the truth, for others to come alongside you. Lord would you please sustain Shiloh mjh and give her relief from this pain.
I so understand. Your story is exactly like mine, the terrible struggle to endure & not let God down, against the pain, just so tired of it, & longing for it to be over, & just rest. Even in sleep the pain is there. I've begged God for so long, let me come home! I've felt many times I don't care if there's no heaven, just let there be nothing if the pain can stop. That's my humanity. Only by focusing on Him an hour at a time, and crying out to Him for strength, is there any comfort & peace. And I often listen to Joni. It's not easy, but at least we know it's not much longer, & this will be forgotten, & we'll never hurt again.
Oh sister yes the pain is always there. Sleep is so hard to come by. But I know one thing, our time is here is so short. The Lord showed me in a dream I was shown what the Tribulation would be like and there was no food and I thought how is it possible in America then I look around today and see oh now I see the how of why there's no food in the Tribulation. We are so close to Jesus coming to get us! So close!

Wow I needed to hear this today! My mobile home burned down a year and a half ago and set off financial crisis. I have a very real diagnosis of depression, anxiety and PTSD and take medication. I also have chronic pain and digestive problems from a complicated gallbladder removal surgery 6 years ago. I’m trying to build a new career in the Mental Health field here in MD but I have to start slow. I make $1750 a month disability and supporting myself and my 40 year old seriously mentally ill son. My only option was to live off the insurance money for rent. It’s now gone and I have nothing to pay my rent with. My life is one big panic attack daily. Yet I’m blessed and grateful and continue to do good when I can. Thank you for inspiring me to get more in the word and really believe! God Bless you dear Joni!

I said to my sister just yesterday- “ He says his burden is light and his yoke easy and that he is always with us but what does that actually look like? How is the burden light when the trouble or pain remains?” And then this video shows up today. THAT is how he lightens my burden- He heard my honest question and saw in my heart I didn’t understand and sends me this video. And bc of it my burden is lightened bc I have been encouraged and given new tools to fight back despair discouragement sorrow and self pity. Bible promises. Everytime I get discouraged then the Lord reminds me that we have a Blessed Hope. Our hope of being caught up with Jesus before the Tribulation starts because of what is written. I have been struggling to put your suffering for so long in a place where I can grasp the fact that not one miracle happens to you. This video or talk for the first time put my heart at ease because I came to the point where I understand what Jesus said to his followers you only believe because of what you see! The miracles he did made them believe but in your statement I now realized I still did not believe or trust God completely I kept in my utter unbelief that I will only commit to Him if I see you healed! Dear God I have been hearing and reading Your Word but stayed blind and deaf for what You really trying to say through Joni for so long. Please forgive me for my sin of not believing that You are 100 % incontrol no matter what. God I pray that You break this wall for my family as well 🙏 We are in terrible shape with You, in this world we are oppressed but not crushed because of You. God won't "force" you to trust Him, but He does provide a way to learn to trust Him, lean on Him, put your faith in Him. I can read your deep desire for this in your post. There is a way! Read this quote from the ministry Cru--"God is completely trustworthy, but He does not ask you to trust Him blindly. He wants you to learn to trust Him as you get to know Him. You can get to know God through personal time with Him and through His Word. Spend time exploring aspects of His trustworthiness in verses of Scripture." I'm sorry that you find yourself in this place with no friends. I know that is so painful and lonely at times. Let me encourage you to find fellowship (even though it might take time to make friends) in a strong evangelical church around you. Talk to the church leaders and ask them if there are some ways you can fit into the church where you can find some meaningful, strong relationships. I pray that God will fill your heart with HIS fellowship. He is indeed what the Scriptures tell us--a Friend that sticks closer than a brother. God bless you.
God prepared a friend for me before I was going through my suffering. A friend I had never met before. The first time we met was in the hospital. Pray for friends for you from local churches.

I have been ignored by the pastor, his wife and the brethren in a moment of great affliction and tribulation, vulnerable and abandoned. This is a church with sound doctrine. I am extremely saddened by this.
What if my brain has issues from malaria and I have a very hard time memorizing any verses, even small ones? It makes me feel very insignificant and like I can't be a true follower of Christ.
Oh, Abby...God doesn't think any less of you because you can't memorize verses! (See Psalm 103:11, 13-14). What He desires is your heart. As you read God's Word, the thoughts of Scripture and the truth of it will fill your heart and your heart will be warmed, focused and fixed on Him. That's what He disires--a heart in love with Him! 🩷Write a verse or two on a note card and carry it with you--read it when your heart needs to refocus. "As a father has compassion on his children, so the LORD has compassion on those who fear [reverence] Him" (Ps. 103:13).

What if my brain has issues from malaria and I have a very hard time memorizing any verses, even small ones? It makes me feel very insignificant and like I can't be a true follower of Christ.
Oh, Abby...God doesn't think any less of you because you can't memorize verses! (See Psalm 103:11, 13-14). What He desires is your heart. As you read God's Word, the thoughts of Scripture and the truth of it will fill your heart and your heart will be warmed, focused and fixed on Him. That's what He disires--a heart in love with Him! 🩷Write a verse or two on a note card and carry it with you--read it when your heart needs to refocus. "As a father has compassion on his children, so the LORD has compassion on those who fear [reverence] Him" (Ps. 103:13).
@@sarahkrause6012 I also have a very hard time reading. I have a type of dyslexia where my comprehension isn't very good. I try to do a Daily Bread devotion and those aren't super long. But, thank you for the kind comment. God knew I needed that this morning.
