The loss of my first son aged 6 in 1981 brought me to Jesus but since then much more suffering and loss of another son 2020 plus breast cancer loss of two marriages and now chronic pain .she is a very inspiring and to live so long God has allowed all of it to help so many ..i coukd cry 😢 much love Toni ❤️ ❤️
That sounds like so much sorrow to endure. Thank you for sharing part of your story as it falls into step with Joni's message of journeying with Jesus through hard times.
It's been awhile since I've listened to Joni, but something told me to listen tonight.......then I read your post. Your brokenness is much like mine - loss of my son, and husband, within the past nine years (illnesses), no contact with our son's three little boys, and an ongoing pain syndrome, (managable). Life just hurts......and I "want to go home, Lord", but Joni is always on my mind........Joni is what keeps so many of us just keeping on keeping on. My heart goes out to you, in your own pain. Living for Jesus, so we can SEE Jesus, someday, so hoping it's soon. 🙏 💦
Psalm 34v18 “The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, And saves such as have a contrite spirit. 19 Many are the afflictions of the righteous, But the Lord delivers him out of them all” I to want to go home to Heaven. So much pain. It is crushing and hard to get through each day, but by Gods grace we get through each day. 2 Corinthians 12v9 And He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.”✝️ We know it is only Gods grace keeping us going and He will carry us through. One day at a time said Jesus. For each day has enough trouble of its own. Love & Prayers. God is with us✝️🙏🏻💖🌸🌺👑✝️🙏🏻
Thank you Joni, you can't know how deeply you have touched my life in only good ways in Jesus name. You inspire and encourage me to be more grateful for every gift from God.
Joni saying that she should not be the exception, but the norm of a Christian life really resonates with me. As a relatively new Christian I see that most Christians around me do not live as followers of Christ. They believe in a philosphy, not the practice of the presence of Jesus. They love and serve when it is convenient and doesn't require truly the cost of following Jesus. My heart has been so heavy watching this.
Yes. I agree with all you are saying. I think it’s true many Christians don’t embrace Christ as the Word commands. I’m 80 years of age and only in the past few months has God begun that good work in me to make Him number 1 in my life. It’s very difficult, many times I’m in the pit of despair, but God always assures me of his presence, and that he will never leave me or forsake me.

So thankful for Joni's testimony on what she has learned from suffering. Her experience and godly counsel are a blessing from God and very much needed.
Jesus bless you so richly Joni. I saw your love for Jesus come through so sincerely today and you taught me sweet little ways I can bring Jesus to others. May He continue to work through you to bring the sweetness of Christ to the world. Amen.
I pray for you, pati99, that JESUS will show Himself to you and give you such an encounter with Himself that you will surrender to Him and make Him your LORD and Saviour. Joni would much rather see that for you than have your support. Today is the Salvation. Don't put it off. Life is so short. We are not guaranteed tomorrow. Hugs to you, my friend.
What a deep and powerful message.. Jesus brought me here to listen to this.. what an encouragement again.. Joni has been a role model for me and, over the years, became my favorite teacher when it comes to suffering.. The presence of Jesus resonates from her.. As I have to deal with chronic pain every day for more than 40 years, Jesus gives me the greatest comfort when I listen to Joni's teaching.. it's authentic from experience.. it's completely honest.. And yes, even in a hospital, there are chances to throw a little seed here and there.. amidst the pain and all.. I've experienced it again, as I went through a 2 week treatment at a pain unit in hospital recently.. When I found Jesus 38 years ago at age 22, I preached to people, hoping to convince them.. bad mistake.. Now I'm only a witness, talking about my own experiences I had with Jesus since I met Him, and about trustworthy people like Joni.. Step by step, I'm learning to practice the Presence of Jesus.. Thank you, Jesus, for Joni.. Thank you, Joni, for speaking up for Jesus.. ❤❤❤
I am there , facing possible lifelong physical situation I’ve begged God to heal me. Joni is inspiring and yet it makes me sad that God doesn’t heal her. So my hope for healing is very low. So depressing.
Thank you for your very personal comment on this video. There is no easy answer for facing a lifelong physical situation, especially when our prayers for healing go unanswered-or at least not answered in the way we might hope. I pray the Lord is able to meet you in your current situation.
I'm sorry to hear about your situation. But trust God that He will bring good from it. Commit yourself to Him, and He will sustain and uphold. Be encouraged
Dear Joni I read your book many years ago and sobbed for you after your accident ,that book was so very real to be .Many years later I had a fall and injured you my back ,have so much pain and know that I have to hear your talks again and again to grab and hold on to Jesus .I have walked for 40 years with my Savior and always wanting to get closer to Him all the more .Bless you Joni for bringing God's previous word ,to us all and the lessons that you learnt from your pain and understanding of being so close to Jesus ,we love you .
I respect Joni so much. I did feel concerned when I heard her say that God allowed her neck to be broken in response to asking for help with sexual sin. I really don’t think that’s how God corrects us. I think God allows for severe correction in situations where there is a hardness of heart, but Joni asking for God to help her, is evidence of a heart convicted and wanting to honor God. God is a good father, and that would be an abusive response. He disciplines us for our good but I think we should be careful in connecting painful things in our lives to God correcting us. That may or may not be true.
Why, when Joni is sharing about how difficult and painful her condition currently is (around 2:50), did the interviewer (Wollen) SMILE?? Not one expressions of compassion or empathy. Just a smile. As if she were sharing about what a fun time she had eating ice cream yesterday. Really hard to watch that.
Perhaps you may find the reason in Hebrews 12:2: Looking unto Jesus the author and perfecter of our faith; who for the JOY that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God.
@@finchsparrowbird I understand the community aspect, but I fail to see the need for the religious component. I guess I just live where religion isn't that important and I find it strange that people still need it.
Granted that 'Religion" is strange; however, this "Faith" is a relationship with the knowable and living God the grantor of eternal life and the cost and debt for this eternal life is paid in full. Now by faith believe and receive - suffering for now - and eternal life forever more
@@delbigger I understand the religious dogma, but what is the appeal to this over the top carrot and stick approach to life? Religion tells you you are broken and has the cure. It's nonsensical.
I prefer not to call it religion. It is a relationship. As Joni says. You are speaking daily to a live spirit. There is a joy that you cannot get from any other way. John 3:16. Love.❤
Oh Joni..You WILL LEAP Like a DEER in HEAVEN!! I CANNOT WAIT to SEE you in HEAVEN!!! Your REWARD will be GREAT!!!!! PRAISE JESUS!!!
Thank you Joni for praying for me. I'm going through depression an d I want to find Jesus there 🙏.

There's a HUGE difference between the Jesus experience of Joni Earekson Tada videos and the atheist experience of Matt Dilahunty videos.
