Praise the Lord Jesus! So good to hear genuine conversation from a person who is going through tough times not just temporarily but with a spinal cord injury as a spinal cord injury healthcare worker I can understand how hard it is, still I could see the joy of our Lord in our sister Joni.

Love Joni ❤️so much as well as Elisabeth Elliot ❤️ that you mention. Both of these ladies have deeply influenced my life. But Brother Lawrence was a mystic. So be careful folks.
I understand that some “mystics” were way woo-woo, but many loved God with all their hearts and enjoyed an intensely personal friendship with Him. That is what I want so I’ve learned to glean what is scripturally good and let go of the rest. Which is what we need to do with every author, mystic or not.

Ich bin an Taubheit grenzend schwerhörig seit Kindertagen. Oft habe ich angst in unbekannten Situationen, besonders, wenn ich wegen einer Untersuchung das Hörgerät beiseite legen muss. Einmal musste ich eine Untersuchung im MRT haben und die schien sich gefühlt endlos hinzuziehen, obwohl es sich nur um höchstens 15min handelte.
Was habe ich gemacht ? Ich habe in Gedanken ununterbrochen den Namen Jesus gesagt und das hat mir geholfen, dass ich die Untersuchung mit mehr Ruhe durchstehen konnte.
I’m so glad we don’t have to go through things alone. Though I wish I didn’t feel afraid, Jesus understands what its like to human. And He stays right beside us through it all. Praying for you, Dorothea❤️

@@JoannaWeaver His soul is only in the Eucharist though he is mystically present everywhere. “Unless you eat my flesh and drink my blood”.
@@livelovenow8862I honor and appreciate your beliefs on this matter, but respectfully point you to other scripture that don’t speak of the Eucharist as the path to His presence. Many that don’t link the practice to His presence at all. Jesus said, “I will be with you always, even to the end of the age.” And the whole of the New Testament teaches us that He dwells in our hearts by faith and through His Holy Spirit. Communion is a holy and important practice that Christ called us to so that we “Do this in remembrance of me.”
@@JoannaWeaver I used to be a Pentecostal street preacher. The Holy Spirit led me to a Catholic Church where I opened the door and He was in the room coming from the tabernacle. It was not my small belief cause I had no prior knowledge.

No!. When we surrender to the Lord and repent, His HolybSpirit comes to indwelling us, give us new hearts and writes God’s laws on it. Heb.8:10 and 19:16. We are continuously in His presence. We have new desires, and love Him and His Words. He leads and speaks to us.Formulas are man made methods and will only bring deceptions. We pray continuously and seek,ask,and knock at heavens door, not the door of humans. These are days of deceptions. “ A broken and contrite heart He will not despise.” Relationship with God is a heart issue.
Amen! No formulas, only Jesus and living in and from His presence.
