  • The Tinearity G1 is a compact sound generator developed by Duearity, a Swedish MedTech startup. This innovative device generates masking noise that is transmitted directly to the inner ear through the skull, offering a unique approach to tinnitus treatment. The G1 is specifically designed for individuals with normal hearing or mild hearing loss, like myself. Here's my detailed review including an unboxing of G1, an overview of the product's features and usability, and a personal account of its effectiveness in managing tinnitus symptoms.

    Based on the example and other videos to gauge, I have "tonal" tinnitus which is around 7-8KHz. When I used background noise at night on my TV playing white noise, the ones targeting 7Hz work best at a low volume. I don't notice my tinnitus very much during the day and, as this video describes, it's when the day is over and I then am in a quiet environment ready to sleep that it's noticed. It doesn't drive me crazy, I've managed a lifetime of ignoring it, but I realized recently I've never in my life that I can remember experienced total silence which when trying to relax I can only dream how soothing it would be.

      My experience is similar to yours. Randomly developed it one night around the age of 4 and it continues decades later. I do wonder what the sound of total silence sounds like. On the other hand, it helped me appreciate mindfulness more than I would have otherwise.

    My dear Dr, do you know that I went to see a speech therapist or audiology and he does not recommend that I use prostheses because I do not have hearing loss, but is there a device that protects me from loud noises and that emits sounds that hide the tinnitus? And if I do these auditory therapies in your clinic, will it only be for a while? Or will I have to do it for the rest of my life? That is to say, are the effects of auditory therapy permanent? in order not to need sound therapies to sleep afterwards?

    Mine is is a cross between tonal and screeching. It is 24/7, 365. Started Feb 1, 2020 when I woke up that morning with sudden hearing loss in my right ear. After about 30 mins, tinnitus crept in and hasn't stopped since. Some days are better than others. Yesterday it was barely noticeable all day, and suddenly this morning, it got moderately loud again. I have noticed when high and low pressure weather changes, so does my tinnitus perception. Was told by ENT I likely had a virus that destroyed some of the stereocilia. I cannot hear high frequency, but I can hear low. MRI didn't reveal any tumor on the auditory nerve. My left ear hears fine, but I have noticed tinnitus that lasts for a few seconds in that ear as well more often now then before I got the hearing loss in my right ear.

    • @adamc7191
      @adamc7191 6 месяцев назад

      This is excatly how mine just started 6 weeks ago. My hearing came back and then lost again in the one ear high frequencies . How long did it take to habituate for you . Currently having a mental breakdown as it crept in my other ear but not all the time . Doesn’t seem like reality but hoping that eases with a hearing aid and/or time

    • @rexdv8
      @rexdv8 6 месяцев назад

      @@adamc7191 Never really habituated to it. It took me over a year to accept and live with it. The first several months after it started I wanted to kill myself. But, the ENT told me as time went on it would be easier to deal with and accept, and maybe even quiet down. I have had it nearly 4 years now, and there are times when it gets very quiet. Still there, but much quieter. Then out of nowhere, and for an unknown reason, it will spike again and stays that way for several days or weeks. I only get 1 or 2 days a month where it is quiet enough to ignore. All I know is T is very strange. Why it varies every day is just like the weather. I have noticed that weather front effect it: low and high pressure; thunderstorms; windy or calm; rain or no rain; sunny or cloudy. I think atmospheric air pressure does strange things to the fluids in your inner ear. Also, food and drink can effect it. I have tried to adopt a more non-processed diet and eat more closely to nature. Try to minimize salt. Processed food and eating out will reek havoc on your T because of preservatives, excess salt (MSG) and artificial flavorings. Foods high in salicylates will make my T worse. So, I try to avoid dried fruit (biggest culprit) such as raisins, dried cranberries, etc. Strawberries (fresh or dried) are the worst for me. Blueberries aren't as bad. Try to keep track of the foods that spike your T. if your T suddenly spikes, try to remember that you last ate.

    Mine is like yours, a very high pitched tonal tinnitus. It is high enough that I actually can't hear any of the examples of tonal tinnitus in any of your videos...complete silence with tonal tinnitus examples (even with hearing aids in)...the other examples are clear. I brought up my tinnitus at a routine physical this summer and soon after I was diagnosed with mild to moderate high tone hearing loss. I've had my hearing aids a little more than a month now and they have given enough distraction to provide relief most of the day. I'm a high school and middle school teacher, so when I get home where it is more quiet, I become more aware of the ringing. My audiologist and I have been working on hearing aid adjustments which has helped with that some. My next appointment is Friday, so looking forward to further improvement after that. Thanks for the guidance your channel has given me throughout the whole process. Jim Parry

    All these maskers are pretty much the same: they're essentially lowfi speakers that pump either pink/white/brown noise, bell sounds and waves/rain sounds out and into your ear canal. They're simple devices, and only provide temporary relief.
    TRT when paired with CBT acts as a way to essentially reprogram your mind into not paying as much attention to the noise in your head. The noise is still there though.
    Still waiting for a breakthrough in the actual hard science that will lead to a better understanding of how/why tinnitus is a thing, and a permanent fix, though I'm not really hopeful I'll live to see that day.

    My tinnitus is a lot different from other people for me the more quiet it is the less I hear it until it eventually goes away but the more sound there is the worse it gets and if I go outside it's like I don't have it

    My tinnitus is tonal. The noise sounds like a woodwind playing (a slightly flat) F Sharp above Middle C. The only thing that helps is the ocean setting on my sound machine. I swear I would go insane if it weren’t for the ocean sounds at night.

    It looks like a great product. I however if purchased would only wear when going to bed after taking off my hearing aids as when I wear them I have no tinnitus. Mine sounds like a whine and crickets.

      I’ve noticed that ANY noise that is supposed to mask the tinnitus, is just extra sound. That’s kind of the problem-I don’t WANT EXTRA SOUND. We’re all looking for relief from extra sound. So why add more sound. I get it-you get a “different” sound. It’s like going to prison, you are now kicking your heroin habit. The withdrawal is so bad that you burn your arm with a cigarette just to change the pain. I don’t know. There will ALWAYS be something there to be a product for sale to hopefully lessen the focused ringing or whatever type people have. But let’s not go so far as to say that this will remove tinnitus. It will cover it with other noise that, who knows??..you may prefer the other noise more. If so….do that. But honestly I’m more fond of my horrible tinnitus than my horrible tinnitus PLUS a ton of other frequencies and color noises.

    I’ve tried dozens of remedies for my ringing….even from my ENT. Pills , hearing devices, diet changes even. All sorts of hocus pocus gimmicks that I figured would be worth a try.
    Absolutely no help from anything but I get that everyone is different and some things make work for some but not all….overall most everything seems just that….a gimmick

    I have a lot of trouble with tinnitus, sudden tinnitus does not feel good at all, I again get treatment from the doctor, the doctor has given me some medicine and asked me to do some exercise, still my tinnitus is not getting cured. Then my friends told me a remedy for tinnitus in which my tinnitus
    started getting cured.

    There are virtually thousands of tinnitus "treatment" devices on the market today.
    Personally I use the FREE White Sound app on my tablet for nighttime and sleeping use, and during the day I use my $9.95 Bluetooth earbud that gives me all day masking relief whenever I need it.
    Obviously your expensive "FDA approved" product isn't selling so well, otherwise you wouldn't be here, would you?
    Oh,and by the way, my tablet is FCC approved and my earbuds are as well.

    This seems like little more than a re-purposed $99 bone conduction headphone device. You can play white, brown or pink noise from an MP3. One thing, be wary of using this (or a bone conduction headphone) when asleep. Mammal ears are more prone to damage from loud sound when we're asleep. If you already have tinnitus, don't do anything that risks making it worse.
