Around 7,000 hz over 9,000 I don't hear anything - 64 y.o. - Have had 2 hearing tests over the past 16 months. Have also been dealing with persistent ear infection for several months. I used to hear the ringing for a few hours to a day or two after loud sound exposure. In 2013 after a concert in an arena the ringing became permanent, along with dizziness the day after the concert.
I had intensive cognitive behavioral therapy to train my brain to ignore or put aside the tinnitus as normal sounds. I struggle still when I get tired, or ill. Mornings are tough until I get my brain in gear, so to speak. There is a program I use called Better Sleep which has a tremendous number of sounds that you can choose from and blend together. Nature sounds like rain, surf and wind are soothing and gets me through some difficult patches. I have the Oticon More 1 hearing aids.
I like very much the sound of the calm see and the crickets at night before sleeping. The sound of cicadas corresponds almost completely to the white noise I hear in my head
THANK YOU for this wonderful video! I'm 56 and have had tinnitus (5,500 Hz) my entire life, and have always wanted to explain to people what I'm hearing, and thanks to you I'm able to! 😊
You might have gave me an idea for work. They say I am lying about my Tinnitus and one other thing might save this play this act stupid like I can’t hear.
Hi, I could hear the tone until 2.9khz on my head phones and through the speakers to 4.8 . I think my tinnitus is at a higher frequency. I am going through your you tubes as I have had an audio test and have a low and mid range hearing loss and a severe hearing loss at higher frequencies. Thanks for some great explanations and I am finding them very helpful. I live in Bredasdorp South Africa, and 74 years old. This is my second comment.
It just dawn on me. My hearing is Severe Loss at frequencies above 4khz. Therefore my hearing has bad at the higher frequencies therefore i can hear these tones. Probably nothing wrong with Headphones etc.

Hey Stephen, thank you for reaching out! Glad to be of service. Make sure you subscribe to stay up to date with my reviews. I've got to visit SA at some point, everyone raves about it! Matthew
Just had my final audiologist appointment today for tinnitus and high frequency hearing loss. She is putting me in the Resound system. Won’t get them and fitted and set up until mid August though.
Thanks again for this great video! I ended up getting the Resound Nexia and I like it a lot. Your video was the best for helping me to see what tinnitus features came with it.
Mine is about 9000hz, mostly right sided but it can fluctuate and also appears sometimes on my left ear. My tinnitus is also paired with sound distortion. I suffered 3 years ago some kind of inner ear accident that took out my right ear hearing capacity from 6000hz upwards. It was not an external accident, i was working in the office. The next day tinnitus appeared and although i was treated pretty quickly with chorticoids, hearing loss has stablished. I am suffering now from left hearing loss from 12kzh upwards but not as severe. First year was a nightmare, but with hearing aids brain begins to "settle" and tinnitus begins not to take your attention so much.
Hi, I could hear until 8500-9000Hz, but my Tinnitus sounds like noise at 60-100 Hz. Important: I got my Tinnitus in 2 weeks after getting Audio-test with Miracle-Ear. Before I did not have any problems with hearing and only want to check just in case, it was free and close to my home. Now I am frustrated and don't know what to do and whom to complain to. I found that some people got the same after hearing test. Can you give any advice? Thank you for help.
Tinitus around 5 kHz, hear loss due to otosclerosis. I had an operation on 1 ear and hear loss is better but probably not sufficient to move on without hear aid.
My tinnitus is constant but at multiple frequencies, with perceptible dips at around 5.5, 7.5, 13.5 and 17.5kHz† (allowing for extra gain required to compensate for age-related hearing loss - I'm in my forties - and, possibly, frequency response of my headphone audio amp). But, thanks to yt's compression algorithm, I also noticed significant harmonic distortion above 5kHz, which I found quite distracting. Still, it's a good test within the limits of what is possible on a platform like this.
I have Widex Evoke. I didn't like the ping dingy from the fractal tones. My audiologist instead gave me white noise. That works. The Android Atmosphere app is very good at creating sounds to distract from tinnitus.
He said his hearing loss was in a pitch that sound as something like this and I didn’t hear anything? Does that mean I have loss in that pitch? I think my tinnitus is in the range of 5200 to 7200 Hz somewhere in there?
They will in time this is why the Hearing Aid Maskers cost so much because half the money is going to the audiologist. The truth is with smart phones, and how savvy everyone’s becoming through the years using smart phones as we all know an app already comes with whatever Hearing Aid Masker you choose they could easily the technicians design it where you program everything and anything you need through app on the phone and save three to $4000 paying an audiologist for two office visits maybe three tops
Between 9-12k hearing starts to drop gradually and then, cuts off 12k mark. Thats where the tininitus starts. Any aid that delivers relief at this frequency?
1800, 3200, hole from 5K to 6K, and a much higher frequency that my ears can no longer hear. ~10K. (Perhaps the frequency of tube TV fly back transformers.) it’s a multi frequency, constant hiss.
Mine is around 600-700 and is a result of hearing loss and Menieres Disease. It comes and goes. My hearing fluctuates at the moment...would a hearing aid work still?
My tinnitus sounds like some whoosing sound it’s terrible! But my hearing test is normal but I have some loss in my tinnitus left ear. Feels like there is ear wax in it feeling of fullness but they say they took out all eat wax. My tinnitus stopped one day & came back after I sneeze or move my head a certain way. Tinnitus started when I wore overhead sleeping earphones to help with insomnia.😢. Sounds like the swells and seasides I think
6500 seems to be the closest. And I can't hear anything past 8300. Not sure if the 83 or 65 is my pitch lol. Also, your pitch it just a bit above mine.
Well I could begin to hear at 127 a tone ( my husband who has good hearing couldn’t hear as low or high as me, go figure, he aced the hearing tests 🤨). I think mine is around upper 5000-6000+ , and occasionally I heard “ something” cut in and out in the over 1400 hen again at 1800.
Don’t currently use a hearing aid. Put on ear buds to listen to this, when volume is lower my tinnitus is noticeable, the higher the volume the less noticeable.
Both 400 hz and 8000 hz and the $3000 hearing aids only help if only one person is speaking with no background noize. When I encounter ambient sounds around 400 hz it reverberates in my head and sounds like I'm in a tunnel with a plastic bucket over my head.
My tinnitus goes away while showering or swimming under water. I have to use crickets sound therapy to calm my tinnitus down. No other sound therapy works for me only the crickets. 🤯
@@HearingTracker Should probably give context haha 😂. Acquired bilateral flat severe SNHL (mouthful) from meningitis a couple of years back. Have been hearing aid dependent for a little while.
What pitch of tinnitus do you have?
2.5kHz
approx 4,000 Hz

Hey Fermingh, I'm really sorry to hear your story. Thank you for sharing your experiences. I do hope that you are finding ways to cope. Matthew
Can crickets be available in these hearing aids . That’s the best for my tinnitus
Hey Pullman, yes but only if you're streaming them. I hope this helps, Matthew

My tinnitus is caused by my insomnia and my hearing is perfect so how would hearing aids help someone like me.
And what kind of price range are these hearing aids for Tinitus?
Thanks
Hi Demetris, that all depends on your audiologist. Matthew
I’m at 8,254. Very high pitched and pulsatile (with my heartbeat)
peaked at 10k, then the sound on the screen went away and i could still hear my ears ringing

Does Costco Rexton have Notch therapy? Thank you for this very informative video.
I wish we had more control over the hearing aids without having to go in for every adjustment and feature activation.
Hi David, it's a fair point. Do you mean over the tinnitus features or over the hearing aid features? Matthew

I'm in a similar boat. In the video, the aids seem to stop supporting anything above 8,5k.
12k its good or bad? Please reply me
I am wearing my hearing aids and when you said “my tinnitus high pitch sounds like this 👉….” I did not hear a thing!?
My tinnitus went away at some point during the frequency sweep. It seems to be reactive in that way.
Oh yeah mine's definitely in the 12 to 13k Hz range it sounds like a flashbang that's the best way to describe it
From around 12000 onwards is silent?

8500 normally, but 4500 will ‘pop’ in sometimes, and then back to normal. And lower will ‘pop’ in and then back to normal. Is that normal? 😅
I was only able to hear starting at 90hz all the way to barely 9,000hz while wearing my hearing aids?? Is that normal?
I think between 6k -7k. Hard to tell exactly. I don’t hear anything after about 7,500 Hz.
yes, the measure of tinnitus was between 8 and 9,9 hz
If i cant hear above 8,000Hz and my Tinnitus is above this level how will my brain hear any sound treatment ?
Hey there, sound treatment could cover the whole frequency range, with the hearing that you do have and it should still provide some relief. Matthew
