  • Millions of people experience tinnitus in different degrees, some are louder than others. Tinnitus is the perception of sound when no actual external noise is present. While it is commonly referred to as “ringing in the ears,” tinnitus can manifest many different perceptions of sound, including buzzing, hissing, whistling, swooshing, and clicking. For some, it can lead to insomnia, difficulty with concentration, poor work or school performance, irritability, anxiety, and depression.

One technique that works for me that I copied years ago from Reddit.
Place the palms of your hands over your ears with fingers resting gently on the back of your head. Your middle fingers should point toward one another just above the base of your skull. Place your index fingers on top of you middle fingers and snap them (the index fingers) onto the skull making a loud, drumming noise.
    Repeat 40-50 times.

Never forget.... It is not the level of noise that makes you anxious. It's the fact there is a noise. Don't underestimate the power of acceptance (which is not the same as ignoring!). Mindfulness helps (too) in dealing with the unavoidable things in life. It's not just tinnitus, or cancer, of another issue. It is how you cope with it. Accept its presence, be kind to yourself and whatever is bothering you.

Using an electric shaver, electric toothbrush, any vibrator and they work
The science behind this is to transmit vibrations via the cartilage that connects the optic nerve to the brain. This is more efficient than tapping your head with your fingers.
If you want a quick try without reading the rest: turn on the vibrator place the non-cutting end to that part of the ear that is next to the entrance of the ear canal. You will have to move around in order to get max sound. .Go slow at first if the vibrator is large, it will produce a very loud sound.
Just experiment until you don't hear tinnitus.
I had stumbled on a method that uses the end part electric shaver NOT the cutting part. You can even use an electric brush.
Place the vibrating part at the bottom of the ear, not at the ear lobe but the part above it with a triangle shape. . This part is directly in front of the ear canal .If you press on it, you will hear a pop sound. This protects the ear canal.
The point to touch with the vibrator is on the end of the protective part of the ear. PLaying around this part of the ear with the vibrator until you hear fairly good sounds. The sounds can be quite loud if you are using a loud shaver.
When ready , try not to push the vibrator too hard to locate the spot with the loudest volume. I started slowly and left vibrator on for 1-2 minutes, but they weren't effective then raised to 3-4 .That produced the results of not hearing tinnitus for a day. Next day, I had a slight ringing and I was able to eliminate it with a minute session.
Please report back your method and adjustments

The Doctor that I saw in the early days of this constant ringing, told me to put a radio under my head when I go to bed at night..I thought to myself, "whatever this is, these people have no idea how to treat it", I'm not gonna sleep with the radio...hell no! I did my research, found out its caused when the ear drums are damaged, and that there's no cures. I have learned to live with it, I stay away from loud noises, and quiet places. Suffice it to say, I am going to try your method or exercises, its not threatening to my hearing and looks quite harmless..sir thank you - I am going to have a go at it..🙏❤

I’ve had tinnitus for approx 20 years. The ENT Dr. told me there is no cure. I’d call it a mild case. A few weeks ago I was at a loud concert and left as soon as I could but when I walked out I noticed the high pitched whine was significantly worse. I tried your exercise and to my amazement the noise is much reduced. I can’t thank you enough.

Getting Tinnitus to lower down takes time and patience, but with the help of God and those exercises it will.
Mine took several months of suffering, but eventually it did go down and even go away completely on certain days.
Lately because of fasting and sleeping late it went up again to bothersome levels, but that's ok because I know that changing habits back again and doing those exercises will bring it down I just have to not let it effect my mood.
SLEEP EARLY. If I have to give one advice for Tinnitus relief is sleep early and get off all stimulants.
    Also exercising helps dramatically.
Occupy yourself. Surround yourself in large areas where there's people around.
Hanging out with friends and family helps too.
Stop thinking about it and know for a fact that you will not be bothered by it and it won't.

I have tinnitus and the only trick I feel I learned by myself over several years was forcing a yawn to pop my ears and using my fingers in my ears like the thumb in the ears trick. Along with these other exercises, I tested them by listening to my parents watching a video on low volume a few rooms down ... and it was much clearer than what I'm used to. My ringing noise was much quieter.

You’re right, my doctor told me there was nothing I could do. I have gotten various supplements with no benefit. So happy to see this on my feed today, since the ringing is loud & constant. I have chronic sinusitis and TMJ so any relief would be a Godsend. Thank you!
