@@SunnySouthVacations It is the small footprint and adults only and beach. I have been to large mega walking resorts, and now avoid. Prefer to walk little and exercise on the beach. Will be my first time to barcelo bavaro beach resort. I am subbed.
@@tomb9658 Barcelo Bavaro Beach, the adult only resort, does have a smaller footprint within a larger property. I like that because it gives you a small resort when you want it on the adult side with many more amenities on the all ages side if you want it. Hi m dot, good question. Premium Level does unlock some more higher end liqueurs. I didn’t take a full inventory of what was and wasn’t included. We have two couples going in January of 2023. We did Sea View Rooms on the adult side. Do you have any pics or video's of these rooms? Can you tell us what is not included if we did not do the premium? Looking to visit Saona Island. Any recommendations on who to use? I watched one video where the lady said it was a very long drive because they stop at every resort to pick up and drop off. Know any companies that do smaller buses with not so many stops to get there? Love your videos and information! We are first timers to Punta Cana!
Hi sweet nothings, 80% of rooms at Barcelo Bavaro Beach have sea views. I did not get into a Superior Suite Sea View room but they look very similar to the Superior Oceanfront Premium Level. The only difference is the location as the oceanfront rooms are nearly on the beach whereas the Sea View are set back a bit. I received your email and will send images to show you what I'm talking about. There are many private tour companies that offer day trips to Saona Island. A google search would turn up many options but you'd have to talk to them individually about how many stops they make before getting to the ferry. That said, Barcelo Bavaro Beach is one of the closest resorts to the Saona Island pier so you may not be on the bus as long as others. The seaweed issue that is plaguing some areas in the Caribbean seems to be worse from May to October from what I tell. Rental cars are available at the airport. I did not see any ride share vehicles in Punta Cana. I believe they may only have licenses to operate in certain areas of the country. Are you looking for a way to get to the resort from the airport? I can confirm it is 100% and adult only resort, however, it is on the same property as Barcelo Bavaro Palace which is an all-ages (family resort). That said, both resorts operate separately; they have separate check-in/lobby areas, separate premium lounges, separate dining venues, separate pools and more. They share a spa and fitness facilities. Anyone staying at Barcelo Bavaro Beach has full access to any amenities/venues at Barcelo Bavaro Palace. Any adults staying at Barcelo Bavaro Palace have access to the amenities and venues at Barcelo Bavaro Beach. This means you can go to the Palace Resort to enjoy the restaurants, the cigar lounge, the casino and sports bar (plus more) while adults at the Palace Resort can enjoy the adult only atmosphere at the Beach Resort. Do your homework regarding Seaweed, I was there in August 2023 and walked the beach for many miles, and could not do it because of the Seaweed STENCH, headaches, nausea, gagging, I nearly passed out. Lucky for me my vacation was 30. I only spent 7 days in Bávaro far from the beach in Veron to stay closer to other places. Las Terrenas, and Cabarete are good places. That’s where I spend the rest of my vacation. Punta Cana in whole sucks. I was born in DR.

I suggest heading to the concierge the moment you arrive to book your full week of dining. It can be difficult if you aren't flexible with your dining times or if you're with a large group.

I wouldn’t say this is a big nightlife resort as it is more family oriented but you can have a good time at night. Disco was closed when I was there last year which was pandemic related.
Margarida, great question. Food is such a subjective topic. I thought the food was fantastic at both Barcelo Bavaro Palace and Barcelo Bavaro Beach. I had a favourite meal at both resorts. At the Palace it was La Comedie (French Restaurant) and at the Beach is was Chez Gourmet. That said, the atmosphere at La Briza, being next to the ocean, was fantastic. Overall, the food was good to great in my opinion. We always have to remember that they are cooking 1000s of meals for 1000s of people all to be served around the same time. They do a great job. I was at the resort in March 2022 and there was virtually no seaweed (sargassum) to be seen. That said, it is difficult to predict whether you'll have sargassum during your stay as it depends on ocean currents. That said, the Dominican Republic doesn't seem to be getting the sargassum as much as areas in Mexico. I cannot guarantee you won't see it though. Are you looking to travel there sometime soon?
