I want to connect all of my devices to play music, but only 3 out of the 5 devices I have show. They are all on the same network, I've re-scanned, still won't show up. Here's what I have. Locally stored music totally cracked it! Called up a track from my Alexa 'Auto' whilst miles from home, Alexa popped back to the house, looked up the track and streamed it back to the car. Love to show you how! Show-8 actually shows the mp4 video or puts up a jukebox style music selector where you can then go to any alexa in the house and ask it to play the stack.
I had this device and I wanted to make sure I wasn’t missing anything on its uses. I’m glad I watched this and will definitely be doing a few more things with all of my Echo devices.
Is there a way to hardwire it to a pc monitor? I am looking into ways in viewing my blink cameras on a much larger screen and I'm not interested in the echo 10 or 15. Great video by the way! Thank you!
There are down to 89 bucks. I have a speaker so it’s good I can connect. I was not aware it could do 80 percent of what you were showing. I wonder if you can watch movies from your TV as well?
I recently got the new Echo Show 8 (3rd Gen). I also have the 1st gen. On my 1st Gen while connected to my bluetooth earbuds I can tap the earbuds and pause, skip or go back while listening to music on Pandora. I tried this on the new 3rd gen and it's not working. Was this feature removed from the 3rd Gen Echo Show 8 or is there a setting I need to adjust? Update - I just hooked up my old 1st gen Echo Show 8 and even though it's slower my bluetooth devices work properly with it. I can adjust the volume, pause, play, track forward and track back all with my bluetooth devices. This 3rd gen is being returned.

just bought 10 of these have them everywhere including greenhouse , now when away i can access the camera along with my ring cameras and make sure everything is ok. I can also see who's at my door from any room. Can't seem to link the nest thermostat up yet. If i forget to turn a light off i just ask now. Live in the remote highlands of Scotland so this is great keeping an eye on my house and should i have an accident i just shout hey echo call....

My Echo Show 8 does not do any of this. I think it is faulty. No swipe down, no swipe left or right. Sending it back for a new one. It is just a pain in the butt at this point. Your video is great - helped me understand it wasn't just me having a hard time using it. Thank you!

I just gotta ask...anyone open one of these to verify the camera cannot see through the shutter? Is the camera able to see Infrared/Near Infrared or only the same as a normal camera? After all, cameras have been released that would later be recalled because they could see through certain clothing people would wear. For example, certain nylons with the quality of being opaque at 380-780 nm. The shutter might be doing it's job or it might not be...🤔
They should make it so you can reposition the clock into any corner you want instead of it being in the bottom left corner where "I" can't see it because my bed blocks that corner.

It is very aggravating and I have to do most of it manually. I still have not found out, how to set the timer manually. Anybody any idea how to do that?
I have a few smart devices I have just purchased for my new home (TV’s, lights, switches, etc) which all are Amazon Alexa compatible and “built in”. I’m considering buying an Echo Show 8 with the view that the built in Alexa in this product becomes the “main” Alexa giving the orders. My question is…. If there’s more than one Alexa in the room which product knows I’m speaking to it? If I say “Alexa, turn on the tv” will the Echo Show 8 Alexa do it or the TV’s Alexa do it? And will two Alexa’s respond? I’m a little confused and would like some guidance, thanks.
The only application I see for this, is apparently it works a heck of a lot faster than the slow as molasses Alexa app on your phone... which you have to use to setup... and resetup... devices... (when Alexa loses them). OMG is the Alexa app so painfully slow on the smart phone, it's like it has to load it's GUI interface across the internet for every... single.... screen.
My fantastic brother just bought my mother one. He lives in Texas. She lives in San Jose, California. And guess who else lives in San Jose, California? me, so I have to figure out how to make this thing work. And try to teach her how to make it work and she Is 90 years old!!!!! 1 problem I noticed with the echo 8 is if you have a profile (or contact) setup that you no longer want. There is no option to delete that profile , it only gives the option to rename. My cousin recently got an echo 8 and she asked me to delete a profile of her mother in law who passed away last year and I tried several times to delete it but I couldn't... Also, if you have more than 1 echo device how do you sync the information that you create so it shows up on your other devices... For example, if I create a reminder or sticky note on my echo 8 in the kitchen and I want to see my reminders on the echo 5 in my bedroom it can't show it to me and acts confused. She literally says she doesn't understand.😄
Nothing new! That is why low watching.. my issue with my show. Is unwanted advertising and advice on my home screen . Amazon refuses to give the buyer to turn it off!!! Not great

Mine also will not let me scroll up, down, left or right. Mine is an Echo Show 8, 3rd gen.

Great video mate. I think Aqara door bell puts up the live video when someone presses the bell. So it is just not the ring. Correct me if I am wrong.
That's correct. However, I think it's only Ring Doorbells that can show the feed automatically without creating a routine prior to the doorbell ring.
