I think you installing them further away from the house makes them look better. It really washes more area and lights the house up evenly and nicely

Man these lights look amazing. nice demo and setup. the only thing holding me back is the price. it it was $349.00 for the 5OFt. but 449.00 is a tab steep imo. I'm going to wait until black Friday sales & Christmas sales.
You installed them pretty much at the same spot I would have to (9 inches). They look good to and wash the walls in the front.
I have always been a fan of Govee Lighting! They appear to be superior to their competitors and at a more affordable price point. However, these lights do not appear to adhere to Govee's pricing structure. Also, before installing smart lights, always plug them in and connect to WiFi first to save time.
Nice video but how do you add multiple scenes into one operation function to run for 6 hours say 6pm to midnight. Example to start with scene Moonlight then Star then Universe then Forest then Fire then Aurora then Wave and then to re loop the scenes in that order for a few hours. In a continues cycle with out powering off on off on.
This video was super informative and what I appreciate most is the demonstration of the scenes and color / event / holiday settings. Question: how long is the cable from the power adapter to the first light in the strand?
Good question! I’m not sure exactly because I left it all bunch together but it’s probably like 15ft long from the roof down to the plug & there is still a bunch of wire bundled up. So it’s a good length!

Does the power/control box have to go on one of the ends or can it go between the strands like a T junction? My outdoor plug is mid house unfortunately.
Do you know if you can buy just the extender anywhere. My box has one but would love a few more. Any help or link would be appreciated. Thank you.
I wish they gave you more than 5 clips per 16 lights. I used 1 clip per light, so I had to order more clips from Amazon as I don't trust the 3m tape lasting through Midwest summers and winters....
For the price they should include more clips, at least 1 for every led cube.
How do I mount the power brick and cord

Doubtful. You need to clean the area before sticking them on and then pull the cable taunt. Otherwise its going to look sloppy.

If you’re referring to the white box, it’s the power supply/ability to connect to Wi-Fi

Yes you can. There are 100 "snapshots" of scenes you can customize
How long is the plug from the outlet? Trying to figure out if it will be long enough to reach it into my garage plan to drill a hole through the soffit and into the garage.

I bought two boxes (200 ft). Since we cannot have more than 9 strands together, I had to put the rest on their own control box (so I'm using 2 control boxes). Only one will sync? Thinking that maybe I didn't start with the red washee on the strands that won't sync...
I cannot get my two 100 foot to connect together

You can install then separately and then via the application you can sync both

I think they both have their pros & cons!
Lumary Lights - Pros
- great security lights
- hard wired for a cleaner look
- ability to change colors & dim in the app
Lumary Lights - Cons
- Occasional Lag due to each light being individual fixtures, this effects the app connectivity
- connecting them for the first time can be tricky
Govee Lights - Pros
- App response time is pretty solid
- All lights sync together accurately because the power & communication are all connected together
- ability to change colors & dim in the app
Govee Lights - Cons
- (personal opinion) More of holiday lights & not security lighting
- exposed wiring on all the lighting under soffit
- needs a 120v gfci receptacle for power

Is the adhesive still going strong on these lights? I read some reviews from people saying the adhesive wasn’t good enough.
I live in Texas and with the excessive heat, the adhesive has been coming off. It’s better to use your own straps on the right and left side of each light.
Can you share a link to the white plastic wire holders you screwed into the soffit next to the lights to hold it up?
Those actually came with the lights.

My neighbors haven’t said anything. If anything, I’m giving them free light on their side of their house 🏡

Quick question, I started with the wrong end to where I wanted to place the power adapter. Realized too late, and I cut and splice the ends and swap them for the power adapter??😅

What happens if I am 10 ft too short to cover the front and side of my house with the Govee 150ft RGBIC kit, and I use the 16ft extention from Amazon to get the full coverage and I cut the extra 6 ft off? Would this be okay or has anyone tried this? Thanks

Great question! The short answer is I’m not sure. But in the Govee app, there is a setting called Scenic DreamView. You can add all the devices you want that are compatible & sync the lights together to create a design. I only see the holidays Christmas & Halloween and there is other stuff like rain, Forrest, ocean, etc. These lighting settings are different then if you were just controlling 1 govee permanent light directly. You can always have 2 separate lights, & put them on the same lighting setting. I don’t think it would look bad at all! Hope this helps!

What if all I need is 40feet? What happens to the extra cool of lights?
Govee sells this kit in 50ft or 100ft. If you need 40ft I would suggest buying the 15m (50ft) 👍🏽

No, unless you buy an additional light strand with the power adapter.
This is why everyone should have white trim on there home.

Just zoomed in on your video and says wifi only 😩 I noticed your phone was on 5G though. I use my phone to teather to everything!
If I understand correctly the wifi connection on the Grovee Is to make the lights available online and then you can connect to them vis the grovee app from anywhere where you have internet in the cellular where the app is installed and logged with your account, maybe I’m wrong. Just my 2 cent’s
