    This is a great band and a great song to be introduced to. Their sound has morphed through the ages and all of it is great. Songs from this album and Spiritual Dark Dimensions are my favorite era, but their melodic black metal roots to what they are now it’s all great! Love the content man, keep it coming 🤘🏾

    The guys in the crowd with the flag looked like Gorgoroth fans. Gorgoroth being a Norwegian Black Metal band. They had a Norwegian flag as well so hopefully an accurate guess. Great reaction. I'm gonna need to check out more of this band's music!

    Dimmu Borgir ( Dimmu - think of the same sounds as in Emppu,- Borgir - lose the sj sound in pronouncing the g - think of it more like the g sound in gear - Dim-mu Bor-gir).
    There is debate as to the actual meaning of the name,- if you allow yourself to loosely mix the three Scandinavian languages of Danish, Swedish and Norweigian,- a sort of construct language that could be called Scandinavian though it doesn´t exist but is spoken as a way for Scandinavians to speak mutually intelligilby with each other if we´re not just speaking our respective languages and then mix it up with a little Icelandic and Faroese ( has an ancient Old Norse feel and ring to it, doesn´t it? :) ) it could be taken to mean: Dark Castle,- dimmu,- dim, as in dark, shadowy, gloomy, underlit, dim lights etc. and borgir would be the nordic pronounciation of the German Burg - like in a medieval castle - which would lead to to "The Dark Castle".... muahahahah.... ( evil sephulcral laughter).
    Welcome to the most glorious trombone player,- so into it you would think he once asked his parents if he could be a guitar player in a Norwegian Black Metal band and scared and petrified they convinced him to settle on trombone instead,- ..... little did they know.. :)
    If you fancy more Dimmu Borgir check out the song Gateways from their live concert in Oslo,- again with a choir and full orchestra,- and with a female guest singer ( Agnete Kjølsrud) who does NOT sound like Floor Jansen or Simone Simons,- more like an ancient Vikingr Vølve casting sejdr over the full audience and their entire bloodlines.
    ruclips.net/video/XGoak4ISCPU/видео.html
    Enjoy.

    • @TheWyldesidewithEricClark

      This may be a silly question, but how much of the song should I let play before I pause? What is the average time limit I have before I get pegged? Everyone I ask or video I watch, tells me to just sort of figure it out by trial and error, but I don't want to risk my channel.

      Hi Eric! I want to do an "I concur" with comment of "Mr. B" (on the timing issue) and "Martins Videos" here: first, one of your watchers, "Mortimer Folchert", responded to comments of mine I placed below your video of Sabaton's "Bismarck", where I recommended Rammstein and another commenter said "no don't --- too much trouble with copyright", with the following response --- "I would exclude 'TheWolfHunterz' from 'trustable' copyright sources, because they get paid to react over on their Patreon and therefore haven't got a need for monetizing their reaction videos, which usually leads to less trouble with companies. Elizabeth ["The Charismatic Voice"] on the other hand, usually contacts the label beforehand and asking for being whitelisted.)". --- So he is essentially agreeing with Martins Videos comments here. He certainly knows a lot more about the issue than I do --- and since he is already a follower, perhaps he could offer further suggestions?
      As for legal issues, I have tracked all the relevant law review commentaries in the United States, and can send you a list if you want. But unfortunately, this is one of those areas where it really doesn't do any good. It is helpful background information, if you are writing a submission to Congress, but this is one of those areas where it is all about the PRACTICE and not about the THEORY. So ... Good luck !!

      @@TedinCalgary1952 Thanks for the info! I have a few lawyer friends and I will ask them for further direction or advice. It's just a bit confusing that some of my vids have the whole song playing and not pegged, but one video where I am pausing gets flagged. So I am probably in a "Hit or Miss" situation until I can figure out the legalities of this thing.

    Can you make a list of the videos you had to take down ? Some have a solution to it, others not. The ones that have a solution sometimes require different kind of action(s). I know of Dimmu Borgir a long time. Thank you for reacting to it. Personnaly I had some difficulties to get into their music back in the days although objectively I knew they were/are good at their craft. These kind of reactions make me appreciate some bands more.

I've disputed them all, but have only heard from one, and that was the Blind Guardian one telling me no one could view my video, so I just deleted it. I just need to know how much of the song I can let play before setting off alarms at ASCAP.

      @@TheWyldesidewithEricClark you should contact the rights owners beforehand. Reaction videos have become such a big thing, many artists and labels are happy for these. I don't know exactly how the copyright disputes work but there are many reactions to Blind Guardian out there.
      I think a vast majority of the copyright claims are automatically generated by a RUclips algorithm so clearing them out beforehand would save a lot of trouble.

Note that at the beginning of the video, she says "I am not a lawyer, _however_ , I have consulted with my legal team [before posting this video]". Eric I think as you get more followers You do come into YT sights I have read from a lot of reactors lately that they are getting blocks now from artists they have done lots of reactions to with no problems before but are now getting blocks on. Maybe contact the reactor Tank the Tek he is also in Nashville and been in the reaction game for a while and seems very knowledgeable about a copyright block

    • @vhaarr
      @vhaarr 2 года назад

      This is without a doubt the best course of action. Tank isn't the only one, there's dozens of well established reactors who would be happy to help you. If I were to guess, you simply need to pause more. But there are established reactors who do 2 passes on a song in their videos, like first they listen to it uninterrupted, and then they do another pass where they pause the video any time they have something to say. But the rules for them might be different than for you, because YT doesn't treat people equally. Your channel might be too new. I have no idea.

    • @vhaarr
      @vhaarr 2 года назад +1

      That said, I can't think of any reactors who do it like you do - listen to the whole performance and THEN react. There's probably a good reason noone else does that.

    You almost got the pronounciation right after listening to the vocalists intro, but then you got it wrong again a few minutes later. Your problem is with "Borgir" - try saying "Bor" like you would say "Whore", just cut off the 'e' at the end of the word and swap the consonant from a long W to short B, and then say "gir" like you would say "gear" but drop as much of the 'a' as possible.
    If that doesn't get you close, I don't know what will.

    Yea not into this type of music in anyway. Musically sound vocally I would even rate it. In bands I listen to which has several bands in Europe I wouldn’t even place in the top 400. I do like several over there Nightwish Within Temptation Lake of Tears Lacuna Coil Katatonia Mustasch Scorpions Doro Pesch Warlock Black Sabbath Leaves Eyes Epica there is 12 and I have many more. Chunk Captn Chunk of Paris I’d give a thumbs up way before that one. Sorry I understand they may have been around 20 plus years. But they wouldn’t make it on my play list at all

Bullet for my valentine of mice and men conk no captn chunk. I just didn’t care for the singer. Now the two genres I don’t care for are hip hop and rap. Rap is devoid of musical instruments. But I can’t say I hate all of it. They m Macdonald has a good message and within temptation put xibit in one of their songs. So not a total loss

      Yeah, I'm one of the Nightwish lot, and thought I would never listen to this type of metal. Until ....the Guy With the Trombone! Goodness me he came alive with it. His passion opened up my horizons and I started searching for more of their music. Dimmu are symphonic, they are metal and they telling a very dark story. It kinda reminds me of Luis Royo's art. What's not to love?

    • @michaelbelshaysr4525
      @michaelbelshaysr4525 2 года назад

      I guess I didn't make it clear so let me try again musically they are sound lyrics may even be good but the covals not really even digestible. I do like Metal ore so fry vocals are fine. But I guess like any vocals these just don't appeal to me personally. And I do like most music types and played in a band. So again personal taste probably more than anything else. This is to be honest of course I could lie and say it's a great but why lie? I know some reactors lie just to get and build their base. I won't be one as honesty is the best policy for me. And again you don't have to like what I say. But I don't have a channel either so opinions for or against me don't matter.

    Im only a user, not a youtube producer, so i can tell you only what i think. But best answer seems to me don´t fight the algorithm - it cost to much energy.. Blurr the video, try to make more stops inbetween, try to reupload it some days later.
    The best idea seems to me, try to ask some of your fellow youtubers about the youtube algorithm and thier experinence. If they don´t answer, then you will know them for the future, the others who help you - will become a friend for your (youtube) life?
    RUclipsrs which seems to be ok (and which i like), and do something in the same direction as you do, Tankthetech, Ryan Mear, Dicodec, Wave Potter.
    Reasons for claiming - depends on the nation and the strict copyrict laws there or of the mood of the publisher. Some bands offer a white list like "Eskimo Callboy" - (a "must" for a reaction). Also it will become easier if you are "established", that means regular uploads, subscriber base 100k and more. Then you are intereting for the marketing guys. You now the "corp" mechanisms better than i do, which kicks in in that moment, you are categorized as a proven multiplicator. Tankthetech elevates the theme in an talk with Nik Nocturnal (The TankTheTech & Nik Nocturnal Conversation (Part I)).
    P.S. Look also at Rick Beatos, a must know, channel. He also rants on a regular basis about the youtube algorithms.
