This album is beautiful IMO, was on heavy repeat for me last year! Well worth listening to the whole thing in one session. If you want another band kinda like this, Caladan Brood is the best example. They are like the black metal Epica, epic gorgeous melodies, contrasted clean and harsh vocals with gorgeous harmonized male choir. First song recommendation would be Caladan Brood - Wild Autumn Wind.

Dimmu Borgir means “Dark Fortress”, it’s a volcanic rock formation in North Iceland .
I 100% agree with you on that melody. It's soo beautiful and that makes it my favourite song on the album as well. And yes, the depth of beauty can make you cry out of appreciation
You need to react to one of Dimmu Borgir's best song: The Insight and the Catharsis. I can guarantee you that everyone here wants you to react to this.
Its such a nice song, and the chorus make sounds like they are singing about a king or queen who have died
