I was there 2007 at Wacken. Being in the middle of the chrowd singing the part of ICS Vortex together with a bazillion people around me was the BEST DAMN THING!
I've only seen these guys once, but I still remember how awesome it was. In Sorte Diaboli tour 2007 with Kataklysm, DevilDriver and Unearth. When Dimmu came on, the stage curtain slowly lifted up to reveal the entire band standing with their devil horns in the air and they kicked into Progenies Of The Great Apocalypse. Damn I wish I had a time machine!
Watching this now I just realized how MUCH I've been missing on this band. I've listened DB before, but I haven't dived deep into their music... this changed my mind. What a fucking epic song!!
I just saw this song live yesterday at Dynamo metal fest in Eindhoven, man it almost made me cry… such an epic song. Dimmu Borgir were such worthy headliners of the festival!
I first heard Dimmu (as a teen living in a small town in the middle of nowhere) on a backing track in a short scene for the movie The Cell (playing on the serial killer’s turntable in his bedroom). It was only a few seconds on screen, but I knew right away that something was truly unique. I searched for months trying to find out more (the internet wasn’t what it is today and I didn’t have a lot of access) until I finally did. Dimmu has since been one of my favorite bands.
Hey, man! I'm back again. I really love your channel. It's true, you've made it: I feel so comfy in here! Thank you so much! 🖤 Keep on rocking! 🖤 Btw: yep... Such a freaking great song. And yep... Freaking viking god's voice of ICS Vortex. 🖤
@@TheWolffAndTheMelody she was here for a bit more than two weeks. We had a great time now, and I didn't fight with her this time, so that was great! 🖤 We went to the beach, I cooked her favorite food, and we talked about lots of things. Thanks for asking! 🖤
Dimmu Borgir has a forever spot in my Metal playlist! Love this concert footage, sounds so good! Stay metal! 🤘🤘 P.s. : There's a Hamburger restaurant* in Chicago that sells Heavy Metal themed Hamburgers , so naturally they have a burger Called the Dimmu Burger ... that is all 😂 * Kuma's corner is the restaurants name I think
I had to look up that restaurant, if there's anything I love more than music it's food lol especially a good burger, and Kuma's Corner looks fucking great! 😆🍔🤘
@@down_the_vinyl_path I know right! I haven't been to Chicago in 20 years, but that would definitely be on my list of places to go there. That and the retro arcade called The Galloping Ghost!
I was there too. ALthough somewhere at the back chilling in the grass with the girl I was dating at the time. Already saw them 2 times prior to that (in '99 and in 2003 ... while backstage) but when they played " a succubus in rapture" I lost my shit! I must say that that there are older recordings with Astennu on guitar... his solo's areally addes a whole new dimendion to Dimmu!
I wasn't sure how I felt about this one at first, but I ended up really enjoying it. The shift in vocals and the almost haunted-house/horror style melody dragged me in. Good pick!
Yo! So there are 2 videos out there with old Dimmu reunion for a fest, 3 months ago, and they sing this exact song. Vortex still kills it. Check it out!
@@TheWolffAndTheMelody yeah, actually 4 or 5 footage from a Norwegian fest where they invited Vortex and Mustis. One can only dream! I see them next week. 🎉

These are great documentaries! And some fun moments!))) I didnt see on You tube enyone did react to those! Thanks and cheers!
This was coll,it had that haunting late 90's feel to it. It was really clean for a live performance. I'm not sure how I feel about the vocals, though. I get what style he is going 6 his clean vocals wete really good. I guess I just prefer the cleans.
@@danhallebjer7310 you are right. point still stand both Tony and Axel are way better that any of the others for some reason. They should have hired Tony full time when Axel had to leave. Unfortunatly noe measure up to Axel

One of my all time favorite Dimmu Borgir songs! 🤘🤩🤘

This song is a pure masterpiece from the beginning to the end .. DIMMU BORGIR FOREVER 🤘🤘🤘

Give "The Maelstrom Mephisto" a shot. It also has a clean vocal part by Vortex, but is more obscure.
