  • Hello Friends!
This video is about how I am managing to work while I am in school. I am sure its a discussion many people debate on whether attempting to apply or a reason why they are hesitant to apply to school. I'm here to tell you that it is absolutely possible to manage working while in CRNA school if the school allows it. At this point in my schoolwork, we are in a front loaded program with all didactic, I have been able to manage working at 2 low requirement per diems. Check out the video to find out more!

Thanks SO much for posting your journey. How many years of ICU experience did you have before applying and what type of ICU did you work in?

Hello!! Thank you so much for watching!! My first application cycle I had a little over a year of ICU experience and by the time I actually started school I had 3 years of experience. My intensive care experience was in NICU.

Is it possible to work 10 hours a week in crna school? The place I work at right now will pay for $40,000 of tuition but you have to work 10-hour shifts in a two-week period. I might have some down time for studying during the shifts but I don't want to count on it.

I definitely think 10 hours per week is doable, but that all depends on your situation. I worked 48 hours per month and I felt it was manageable until I got to the clinical phase. Now that I am in full-time clinicals (40 hours per week) I am only able to do 12 hours in a two week pay period. My question to you is do you have to commit years of time for this education stipend? Because if you have to give a certain amount of years then I don’t think it’s worth it.
