    Great to see someone using simple/basic tools, not a domino, biscuit, planer, jointer, table saw in sight, yet a great result. Truly inspiring for those just starting out. Thanks.

      Simple tools: semi industrial woodworking machines. 😅

    I subbed purely because of the workmanship & lack of FANCY TOOLS. Majority of the YT videos I've seen, guys have thousand of dollars in machinery.

      My workshop tools cost about $25,000 and was built up over 10 years but I can do everything by hand and I mean using traditional non powered hand tools. .
      People can do detailed woodwork with the most basic hand tools if they tried. I still do work that is completely traditional the way I was taught as a child.

    Secondhand reclaimed timber and minimal tools used to make a lovely piece of furniture. Real inspiration for garage woodies. Makes me feel better for not having all the machines you normally see used.

    I really like the ease and simplicity of this project, not to mention the effective use of left-over laminate flooring and the lack of fancy tools . You don't need a fully-equipped wood shop to make nice things for your home.

    I applaud you for an awesome video, no unnecessary loud distracting annoying music, no long introduction about you , your life, your history. Just straight to the point and you didn't even say a word. While I may not be able to make that bench (and btw great job) hats off to a great video.

    I like the use of repurposed old wood and leftover flooring. Total cost was some hinges, chain, paint, screws, dowels and glue. Probably a $20 project. Great job!

    Greetings Eamon
    Thank you for posting. Like other subscribers, I appreciated your workmanship using common woodworking tools. I like that you re-purposed materials that were headed for a landfill. As an alternative to sanding the paint off, is the use of a scraper - less dust, more effort likely. When I was a kid in a one room country schoolhouse, we used (the students) broken glass shards to scrape the varnish off our desks so they could be re-varnished. Worked very well. No gloves or safety glasses in those days. Need a sharp edge? - break some glass. What kid doesn't like breaking some glass?
    Blessings to you and yours.

    • @EamonWalshDIY
      @EamonWalshDIY  5 лет назад

      Thank you very much Neil. Thanks I might use a scrapper the next time, don't think Id risk the broken glass though! 😊
