    Best way I've seen in a long time to include a sponsor in a video. Non intrusive and didn't feel like it took away from the video. Well done.

    i appreciate that you are wearing a Finnegan shirt at some point. Also, thank you for doing a variety of projects like this that can be accomplished with limited tools, and describing how you can use tools without certain features (like a router with an edge guide versus a router table). I'm sure your son will have that toy chest filled up in no time!

    For those without all these tools, taking a cut list to Lowe's and having them cut some 3/4" birch plywood is a viable alternative. The rest can be cut with a hand saw at home.

    Great project and top notch video (of course!). I wanted to watch it during the premiere but was making breakfast for the family. Oh well! I agree that rabbit joinery works really well - it moves the alignment work earlier in the project and makes the glue up very easy. I could also see ebonizing the base as an alternative to painting. Thanks for the build!

    I love this piece. Nicely done. Red oak is dense enough and very stable; I like using it, but agree, the look is... "meh". Also, I can't wait for the day the whole "pre-" trend ends. We're not pre-drilling. We're drilling pilot holes. We should all stop pre-doing-all-the-stuff-we're-not-really-pre-doing.

    It's not a big deal in the slightest, but you can hide half the base- rail pocket holes by orienting them upward. The cabinet itself will hide them.

    People giving the video a thumbs down before the video even shows up.... Its laughable how people get upset over free videos that no one is making them them watch.....

    • @droy333
      @droy333 5 лет назад +3

      It's not a free video. It's a pointless notification and that's where the animosity comes from. We are told throughout youtube to click the bell so we get notified of new uploads. Then we get notified of a video that may happen anywhere between 15 mins and 3 days.

    • @danielkirkhart
      @danielkirkhart 5 лет назад +1

      in 2 minutes its a free video............

    • @SuicideNeil
      @SuicideNeil 5 лет назад +2

      @@danielkirkhart It's not the video they are upset about, it's the stupid Premiere feature- we don't need a subs box filled with notifications for videos we can't watch for hours or days, that's what subscriptions are for- they notify us when the video is uploaded and ready to watch. I think the point people make about the premiere feature has gone way over your head.

    • @danielkirkhart
      @danielkirkhart 5 лет назад

      @@SuicideNeil I appreciate the explanation - but it hasn't gone over my head. I too get too many notifications... but understand its all part of the RUclips game the creators have to play.
      This is a content site that only costs you your time which is ultimately yours to spend how you want.... to complain because someone notified you have an opportunity to watch a video at a future time, while that creator will watch along with you, answer questions and have a good time becomes something to complain about is the ultimate example of #firstworldproblems

    • @SuicideNeil
      @SuicideNeil 5 лет назад +3

      @@danielkirkhart Okay, let's put it another way- youtube is an 'on-demand' service; if we have to wait days or hours to watch a video that we'll forget about until after it's uploaded anyway, it kinda defeats the object, doesn't it. I dunno about you, but I'm not going to sit here waiting for 3 hours to watch a video, I'll watch it when it hits my subs box, or when I get the chance to sit down and go through my subs later ( typically the latter ). The fact there has been a rather large backlash against the premiere feature speaks volumes- it may well be a first world problem, but doesn't mean we have to like it; hence all the dislikes.

Because I don't think I have enough wood to make the legs I might substitute red oak for popler wood because mine is a beginner project I also wanted to make it because I was looking on Amazon for blanket boxes and blanket baskets and I couldn't find anything that I liked so imma make one my self not only do I want to do set design but I also love woodworking And making something of my own because it's great to have something you made it's Awesome but but also when you are a woodworking inthusiast keep in mind that your work table won't always be clean because you are creative and you don't sit around and watch tv all day that's boring unless you are a tim burton nightmare before Christmas geek that's me I am a goth person but I definitely love woodworking Shakespeare theater 🎭 and just Theatre goth in general Especially Hamlet that's hardcore theatre goth but I also love unicorns🦄 mermaids ☠️pirates and ships in general I live in San Diego so ships are a big thing because we have the maritime museum they also have ships that are so historical they are chalk full of ghosts 💀

    I love woodworking because I love the smell of wood and I love the contact and it's more relaxing then sewing I tried sewing, it just didn't work for me because making something according to a pattern was really hard for me and stressful I love the Smell of Wood so much I wear a purfume that smells identical to ceder or pine even though it's a floral fragrence it smells completely the opposite but I only wear that certain purfume because floral Scents give me head aches but I have never liked them anyway they are just not my jam I like Coco EDP because it makes me feel like a lady also drinking tea makes me feel like a classy woman even though I am 13 years old LOL 😂 but I also like it because it adds a touch of elegance but masculine also because woody fragrances are very masculine and I like to also feel masculine because when you do woodworking you use power tools and you have to be really strong to use those because those things have force but just that contact can take all your worries and cares away it just feels good and I sholding something that you made Is just cool in general it's a shame that woodworking is too underrated because if you just try it it might turn out to be your favorite hobby and I think that more women should do woodworking also it doesn't have to be for guys in fact a lot of guys in courage women to do woodworking
