      Do they need to be super strong magnets? That is an excellent idea since I live in a condo now and don’t have a garage, my projects are being done in my living room. Any suggestions as far as dust? Especially for using a sander. Im looking at the Festiool set up but would love a solution that is less than $1,000.

    • @MapBot11
      @MapBot11 4 года назад +3

      @@itssewxtra1713 The magnets need to be strong enough to hold up the plastic sheeting and withstand any incidental contact or snags, otherwise your booth will get pulled down. As for dust solutions, if your projects are relatively small, I would recommend building a downdraft table hooked up to a cyclone dust separator and a shop vac. If you have larger projects, a box fan and a furnace filter can help to cut down on airborne dust, but will not eliminate it. A combination of the plastic sheeting and a box fan air cleaner might be reasonably effective.

    Might consider getting some thicker plastic and attach it to some dowels with ropes and pullies. Done right, you can have an instant kill-room for future rainy days that just sits on the ceiling between kills.
    Also, my only concern with this build is wet shoes stored in an enclosed space might not go so well. Still pretty though.

    Beautiful, minimalistic, and effective. Hits all the points.
    I also love the way the top turned out with all the knots. A little extra work and the dreaded epoxy fill but resulted in something that has a nice rustic look on a clean/modern cabinet base.
    I also love how you do your cabinet faces. I’m so sick and tired of seeing super ornate scalloped designs that just wind up being a nightmare to clean, paint, sand, refinish, and just look dated.

Then ask if I can borrow it! They aren't too bad for seldom use or light duty and I dont have to BUY YET ANOTHER SUITE OF BATTERIES!!! While I am on that did you Americans know you are being hosed??? Other countries demand universal battery compliance for import so your ryobi battery fits your dewalt and your dewalt fits your Milwaukee and your Milwaukee fits your Hitachi. Yeah... I know. I use Ryobi. After burning through some Ridgid, Makita, B+D and Stanely...I bought a Ryobi set. Still going. Except for a Hitachi miter saw and Dewalt sawsall...Ryobi is all I use. Affordable. Portable. I've only had 2 batteries fail and one charger. I'm sure there are really amazing brands but I don't have time to try them out or the $. I know a guy who has been using the same 10 inch circ saw for cutting drywall and framing for over 10 years.

Seriously, it seems like the best case scenario for keeping shoes cleanly in place other than programming a robot to pick up after you xD
