Awesome project, Brad. This was a really nice one, love the contrast of the Walnut top and painted base.
+Crafted Workshop thanks, Johnny! I was really happy how this one turned out including the edit. Still need polish, but I'm finding a groove. And who doesn't love walnut??? Not this guy!
Uh....what!?! This is great. Didn’t follow any of it. I have none of these tools but still watched the whole video. Nice job!
I need a storage bench for my office to hold a rackmount server and MFP. Your bench is similar in style to what I'm looking for and I think I that I can adapt it to what I need. Thanks for the inspiration!
Great video and plans -- I made this for my daughter - she loves it. I used a bamboo top from Lowes (had left over from another project). Made it a bit taller and put 3 adjustable shelves. Thanks for this one!
+Chris P great mods, Chris!
Nice build en well done on editing the video! Respect for not cutting out the screw-ups you've made and actually showing solutions to the problems you've encountered. Keep it up! Greetings from Holland.
+Snaak thanks, man! I love to share the stuff that went wrong so others can learn from my mistakes.
Been binging on a lot of your videos lately and noticed a certain design and build style, which is clearly working for you and I like for it's simplicity.
This project came out great, and that walnut with sapwood made the final piece truly unique. Others would have cut away the sapwood for a uniform top for a result that wouldn't look much different than something off Wayfair.
Thanks for this video. I have build a shoe cabinet for our house based on it. I only had a jig saw to cut the plywood so you can imagine that it was quite a project 😊. Only my third one but I love the result.
Making this guy today. Got all my materials ready last night. Love the plans.
Great project Brad, I've just finished making this a week ago and it's has turned out pretty great. Makes such a difference to coming into the house with a nice tidy entranceway.
Great, Richard! Glad you’re enjoying it
Great build and very functionable. like the contrast of walnut and white paint.
Found myself fast forwarding though this video. Nothing wrong with it, but I couldn't wait to see the walnut as the finish went on. Always satisfying that!
Nice, practical piece of furniture. Walnut on white always works.
+JD Worx I don't blame you! I wish I could fast forward while making it :)
Good work mate looks amazing I recently made a shoe rack for the neighbour next door she's a bit rustic but I like it all out of scrap of cuts and pieces of donated timber it's heavy because I used all hardwood luckily it won't be moved around to much plus it also doubles as a seat as well keep up the good work cheers
This was a great build, you made it seem so routine. Thank you, I'm glad I found your channel
Your projects are always so satisfying to watch. Keep up the great work .
Dude. Was doing a quick look around the web for some inspiration for a shoe bench. Stumbled on this and didn't expect to find this level of craftsmanship but so glad I did. Subbed.
+Stuart Fraser thanks, Stuart! And thx for the sub
all details perfect, I love it
Is there anything you can't do? One word for you sir PERFECT.
lots of stuff I can't do :)
Amazing. Just getting into wood working and your channel is exactly what I'm looking for.
+Tim Kivi awesome, Tim! Have fun while learning!
That top looks amazing! The bevel was a great idea and really adds to the look!
+Bob Plank agreed, a good bevel changes everything!
I love practical projects like this. Very well done.
Liked the video. Very practical. Also perfect project for those smaller pieces of fine wood like walnut, cherry and oak. Thank you for making and sharing your video.
The LOZ Tri-Force 🔥🔥🔥
Brad that's awesome. Great job. The top looks amazing when you put the finish on it.
+Robert Lawrie thanks, brother!
Safety tip! when putting wood through a planer don't wear gloves. I used to until one of my gloves got snagged on the wood and nearly pulled my hand in.
in any case awesome video!
+Frederik ter Horst good reminder to be careful. And thanks!
Looks cool and I like the contrast of the walnut top! Now my wife wants one built
This is nice, im looking for designs for a tv unit with a sepele top, this is pretty much bang on
Now to get the kids to put the shoes in the bench! Kreg makes a single hole pocket jig that has lip on it meant to help push the precut plugs in place. Nice build!
+Tom's Dreamshop Worx yeah, training the kids will be the biggest obstacle :)
Great project! Great tip on the pocket hole plugs. Looks great!
+Keenan Cassai thanks!
I just got done building a storage container for my pocket hole jig! You make such amazing projects and you really inspire me. You deserve way more subscribers so just keep on going!
+Camper Dominos thanks so much, man! I need a container for all my jig stuff!
I'm almost convinced that half of the projects woodworkers do are storage solutions for their gear!
Great project and video. This is so thoughtfully done, i'm curious whether you draw up plans before you start? Thanks for this.
looks nice! walnut was a good choice!🖒🖒 something my house could use..lol good tip with the 4ft clamp improv
And I thought I had a lot of tools... Man, I love your setup. Nice work!
@Jim These are the best woodworking plans online - HootWood. com
I've always loved Walnut... Nice job.
It's my favorite!
the imperfection on the cuts are great for DIYers. probably makes them feel more comfortable if they don't cut as clean or great as Bob the Builder hehe
Nice looking project Brad. Congratulations! Steve
+ExtremeWoodworker thanks, Steve!
Great project, me and my son love watching your videos!
LOVE IT, NOW GOING TO MAKE IT FOR MY DAUGHTER. THANK YOU.
inspiring.., especially now that am setting up my small DIY workshop.
+Brian Ivan awesome! Have fun setting up shop.
Hi Brad! You can use the bottom of the pocket hole jig to push the plugs into the hole.
Pretty awesome shoe storage bench, I learn a lot , thank you.
Great Video... walnut top is very nice!!
+Jake Thompson thanks, Jake!
I love everything you make!! Awesome and easy details!
Thanks!
What a great project, I am going to make this for my in-laws. Great video, thank you so much!
+Ross Copper thanks, Ross! Would love to see it when you make it.
Great walkthrough and technique that can be applied to many other projects
Yup, exactly! Have used some methods on many others
Your're a pro!! a shoe rack for generations to come!!
+David Tran thanks, David!
This is the project that made me click that subscribe button. My wife wants something like this, and this I can easily build. However I do not have walnut that thick. Off to Canadice NY, and hopefully the guy has some. Although I have some maple that is that thick.
+William Borrelli thanks for the sub! Yeah, I think the walnut really makes the piece.
I just built my own version of this based on your design. Wife is now happy 😅
Awesome!
@@Fixthisbuildthat I used SYP for top and then finished it in shou sugi ban style. tung oil finish and then a coat of paste wax
Wow!!! excellent job making the video and project. You're a true craftsman.
Thank you!
Great project
+Mike Fulton (MFWoodShop) thanks, Mike!
Muy buen trabajo y buena idea, pienso hacer lo mismo, saludos hasta Nashville desde Mty. MX.
The small kreg jig you had on the bench while hammering the plugs in has a recess on the bottom to drive those plugs in. Kreg actually sells the plugs too.
+Dane Wade Yeah, I tested both of those and more methods for plugging in this video ruclips.net/video/_epB_1Dmj5E/видео.html
Nice build.I'm working on something similar to it right now.
Very well made brad, you do great work
Very nice build!!! I don't have near the tools or equipment so it'll probably take me a month, but I may try to tackle this myself!
Super! You learn many things applicable to many projects. So valuable. Thanks.
+Samer Shennar thanks!
Great Build and that Walnut really looks nice on the top. Well Done.
Barry (ENG)
+Barry Roberts thanks, Barry!

OMG - this is so great. I've been looking for a clear and concise way to create some for my bathroom. You Rock! 5:53
Don't we all learn from those mistakes? Great build man, love the top!
+Gianluca Moretti Yeah, and I learn ALOT 😃. Thanks!
Great job. Thanks for taking the time to explain what you were doing in detail. Subscribed.

+Bobby Beretto thanks, bobby!
Alucinante la cantidad de tecnología que tienes. Eres afortunado
nice, I need to make one but I'll have an upright section for coat hooks and some cubbies or something above that.
+Bob C that would be a great addition!
Nice project, Brad! I'm looking forward to the next one! :)
+KSFWG thank, man!
just finished mine one minor difference, the top front an rear runners where made the same height as the rear. I then added a bottom the area between them an instead of screwing the top down I added a couple hinges. Makes for a nice little storage area for gloves an mittens. I also added holes to the rear runner an bottom to allow air in when wet items area put away in the storage
+Greg Ward those sound like great mods, Greg! If you're on Instagram DM some pics!
lindo!! parabéns!!
If only i had these fancy modern machines !
Retro GOD That bench can be made with basic tools. Don't get caught up on the idea that you need nice expensive tools to create stuff.
great project especially if you have all the saws!
Sweet design man! Can’t wait to get a miter saw and a table saw. Nice triforce btw!!!!
Bought your plans and just started this today!! Qq for you, what shelf pins did you use?
Lovely work, thank you
Really nice video. Good organization and easy to follow. Even if I don't have half those tools!

Great! I was looking for a weekend project..
+Dave Smith the construction is really pretty quick on this one. Would love to see your version!
Great work man!
I like that this video/ project use tools most diy hobbyist have. A video series of projects with tools that are more accessible for diy would be interesting to watch. Just a suggestion as someone with limited tools to use for projects, love the videos and inspiration to start my own projects. 1:24
Looks awesome; great job!
+paulhett thanks, Paul!
Brad, I found your channel today and I must say I like your style, and love your well equipped shop. I've been around for a while and may chime in every now and then to share things that have worked for me in my quest to improve my hobbies. I just watched all six of your basic turning videos before this one, all good. The main thing I noticed is your irregular use of your face mask. Seems like you trust the vacuum to take the sanding and cutting dust away from you when in fact you should ALWAYS wear your breathing protection when cutting and sanding. There will always be some fine sawdust escaping the vacuum hose, this will accumulate in your lungs with no way to get it out: on the long run your lungs will suffer dearly. Be safe and keep the chips flying.
Gilberto, thanks for all the feedback on the videos. I definitely should wear the mask more often.
incredible brother
You keep your shop so clean 👍
I HATE dust :)
Very nice work!!
+Humus Workshop thanks!
Need to build this so bad!!!! The entry way at my house looks like a shoe store exploded. This project looks like it is actually something a mere mortal like me could possibly do.
It's a great beginner project!
Great build!
This is awesome, Brad! You are awesome as well.
+Joshua Luther hahaha, thanks, Josh!
Thanks, great video, enjoyable. Johnny
your videos are so satisfying
