    Very nice, simple design for a beautiful shoe rack bench. RUclips suggested the video where you refinished the golden oak cabinet door then i decided to see what other videos you have up and they remind me of my dad. He did woodworking as a hobby and your videos could almost be him talking and demonstrating techniques. Brilliant workmanship. Thanks for reminding me of how special a skill woodworking is and sparking the memories of my dad.

    Great job 👌. My wife keeps talking about what to do about the shoes. I think I'll just steal your beautiful design and try it myself. Thank you for sharing 😉

    Nice work Wes! My initial thought was clear coat the top, but I think the stain looks great against the white.

    Wes love the work and your channel. Can you tell me what paint gun you're using and how much did you have to thin the paint? Tried using a similar gun but can't get the paint to come out in a decent manner. Thanks

    I love the build. I'm really surprised that you don't use a respirator on the paint booth though. You seem like someone who would.

      Rob...I typically use a respirator but not while I am doing a video. Thanks for watching. Wes

    The design is great and I enjoyed the build. I will say that the music is kind of distracting, I think it would be better to hear the sound of the tools and you working. Cheers!

    Hi Wes, I am making a bookcase for my daughter and was going to follow the instructions you shared in another video (3-4 coats of primer and 2 of lacquer) but I am thinking it might be an overkill for a bookcase. I saw you doing a simpler finish in this project and imagine it is more appropriate to my project. Can you share how many coats you applied and what type of paint? (I saw you mentioned SW pure white in the video). Thanks a lot!

      @WoodworkingWithWes  2 года назад

      Hi...typically all of my white finishes are the same...3 white and 2 clear. I may not have shown that on this particular video but probably followed the same formula. That would also be an excellent finish for your bookcase. Thanks, Wes

    So when you screw the oak seat to the stretchers are you worried about wood movement and the seat eventually splitting?

    • @WoodworkingWithWes
      @WoodworkingWithWes  2 года назад +1

      No...I don't worry about that because it is not glued down. Thanks, Wes

    you live dangerously with the long skinny panels on the table saw fence, and when you use the boat for the face frame with the fence, you don't have a slider in your shop?

      Adam...no I don't have a slider in my shop. Thanks for watching. Wes

    Are you using a finishing nailer or brad nailer?

    • @WoodworkingWithWes
      @WoodworkingWithWes  2 года назад

      The 18 gage brad nailer that I use is considered a finish nail gun. Thanks for watching, Wes

    Are the pin nails and staples sturdy enough to hold the carcass???

      With the dream around the front and the panel on the back this thing is very structurally sound.

    • @WoodworkingWithWes
      @WoodworkingWithWes  2 года назад

      Yes they are sufficient enough to hold any weight. Thanks, Wes

      So then redesign and put a divider in the middle and a shelf on one side. Problem solved. You gotta be able to think outside the box.
