Brilliant, simple, clear, and helpful video. Have you had to change the 8.5" tyres yet? It's an incredibly difficult affair. So I took this as an opportunity to modify the scooter to accept 10" tyres. Now performing an inner tube change is easy; and the scooters ride is faster and more comfortable.
What i have found is to inflate over the max recommended pressure and then actually quickly disconnect the xiaomi extender. Dont disconnect the pump and then the extender, but rather immediately after inflating liitle bit over the max try to quickly diaconnect the extender. It worked for me but I feel like now its over the max pressure which is not ideal but lets hope it wont cause puncture. Also you cant really gauge your pressure to ideal pressure so theres that...
It really was a pain using the supplied extender, I tried the duct tape method & various pumps then saw the valve extenders online in my local auto store which I will grab tomorrow & then I ound your video too so looks like they sure will save some stress for what should be a simple task, but at least I got some Slime puncture protection in there while I was trying to inflate them first time round !
The back tyre is easier as it doesn't have the stupid inner wheel plate that stops you attaching the connector to the valve. You don't need the crappy extension bit for the back tyre, just inflate it the same way you would a bike tyre with hassle or need for adaptive add-ons 😉 Good luck with anyone that tries to renew an inner tube/tyre though, front or back, it's an absolute 🤬🤬🤬🤬
Does anybody have a link to one of these one Amazon and would this be compatible with foot / hand pump I got one of these scooters the other day and haven’t even been able to ride it confidently as the tire is no where near inflated
The infuriating thing about the included adapter and so many extenders is the screw section never properly freely rotates. If it did you could lose minimal air. Instead it catches the pipe itself and twists around, tangling the pump's pipe up and adding huge resistance. The only way I managed without buying an extender with a valve pin is by pre-twisting my pump's rubber piping in the opposite direction so that it could unravel as I tried to unscrew. I still probably lost about 10psi but it was serviceable.
I just got a set of these extenders today, and worked great. For anyone in Australia, Super Cheap Auto has them: www.supercheapauto.com.au/p/sca-sca-valve-extensions---metal-19mm-4-piece/130230.html#q=tire%2Bvalve&lang=en_AU&start=12 (didn't need the Xiaomi extender, and don't think my scooter even came with one).
DON'T Waste your money on extra adapter, you 1st attached the extender to the pump 1st, not tyre. Then you attach the extender lead to tyre. After getting correct psi, discount extender from tyre 1st. That's the point of the included extender, otherwise they wouldn't ship it with scooter.
Finally someone figured this mess out! THANK YOU!
Glad I could help!
THANK YOU! This video needs to be shared everywhere and for everyone!

Asphalt Ricky Thank you for the kind words.

Scott you are a Champion and a legend sir!
Mojo Rising thanks
Thank you sir! This is just what I need!
Glad I could help!
Solved my problem, thank you! If you are looking for the Milton S442 in Canada, I got them at Grainger.

Thank you so much that was really helpful
thank you so much! super clear and easy to follow.
Sir, you are the best!!
Very frustrating for me too, on lockdown to im unable to get these parts for a while.
So very helpful! Thank you
You’re welcome
Thanks so much don’t know why they give a almost broken extension tho
Bought a used m365. I connected a portable air pump. Not getting any psi readings no air is coming out but the tires don’t seem flat I’m totally lost.
Could be a solid tire. I switched my tube/tires for solid tires.
Hello. Can you write me the exact name of it? Thank you. Regards Eva
ty ty which part are you asking about? There is a link in the description. If that doesn’t answer your question let me know.
It's a Milton s-442 valve extenders
This has to be a design flaw right? How do they not state the issue in the manual?
Is it the same for the mi pro 2 scooter?
Thank you for this awesome tip!!
You are welcome.
How many psi of air should be pumped into a 10 inch tire
Unfortunately I can't find the Milton S-442 in Europe. Any suggestions for a similar valve over here?
Are you unable to purchase from the Amazon link provided in description? I'm from an European country and I did just that.
Thanks for the advise.
You are welcome!

Are you in Aus? what store and model did you grab?
@@juliannelee551 Got extenders at Supercheap Auto
Thanks you heaps
thank you excellent tip!
Thomas Cole you are welcome!
That provided exender goes right in the can. DOnt know why they didnt put a core on the pump end.
how about for the rear tire? Do I use the same method to do it?
Yes but I haven’t had a flat on the rear tire

Seems like you need a compressor to do this, right? The valve will deflate too quickly with a normal hand pump.
No. The Milton valve stem is extension will hold pressure in the tube you just have to unscrew it quickly.
Thank you SO much.
Does anybody have a link to one of these one Amazon and would this be compatible with foot / hand pump I got one of these scooters the other day and haven’t even been able to ride it confidently as the tire is no where near inflated
The length of the extender doesn’t matter. This will work with a manual pump.
The infuriating thing about the included adapter and so many extenders is the screw section never properly freely rotates. If it did you could lose minimal air. Instead it catches the pipe itself and twists around, tangling the pump's pipe up and adding huge resistance.

Thank you, was looking for an aussie alternative
Bro you are a legend! I was JUST looking for this man everywhere, I didnt want to get the wrong one! legend mate!
I don’t know what to do air keeps coming out where u put the extender inside the tire
How do you remove the front tire cap, I swear it’s impossible for me
You can use a small pair of needle nose pliers.
Your the man
Thanks a bunch!
You are welcome!
Genius!
God bless 🙏

thank you very much, the valve is size 1/4 or 3/4, the site has these two sizes
The stem extender is 1-1/4 inch long. I’m glad you found it helpful.
Its a Fking mess, thank you for sharing 🙏🏻
Xiaomi should just send first extenderon this video, currently is so stupid extender
The extension they send is worthless!
Why not simply not use the Xiaomi extender?. I would just use the Milton valve by itself.
The Xiaomi extender will allow the tire to deflate before you can unscrew it. The Milton valve extender will not allow air to escape.
its a major pain in the arse trying to inflate the
front tyre .
Worlds most stupid design
you still loose air because you put the valve extender on the end of the extender hose, instead on the end of it and on the tyre valve directly. Duuh
Actually you only lose the air in the extension not air from the tire. The Milton valve extender works well by itself.
Thank you!!
