I completely understand your statement. You say "unable", I say unwilling. The billionaire owner could IF she were willing to care enough to make sure that all of the employees/staff were treated & respected well. Not just Walmart but most large companies & businesses really don't care. Die or quit, you're instantly replaced. I understand business must go on but what helps business to succeed is 50% products & people & products don't just sell themselves alone.
      * Especially entry level, front line employees are always told to never ever speak to news reporters or anyone seeking information. Although, from the ground up, us gatekeepers are great assets. We're honest, not faking about what's really going on & what improvements are needed to increase profits.

I stand with her on this one. Working at Walmart/SamsClub is like reliving high school again. A lot of gossiping, pushing around, different groups of workers, and all these other things. Bunch of immature and lazy employees who think their so entitle and better than the other. They have very poor management and don’t take things seriously especially when it comes to their employees. They take advantage of their hard workers and make their hard workers work harder while they let the lazy non hardworking employees stand around and continue doing a slacky job. I was harassed to the point where another employee purposely hit my leg and bruised it with a pizza pan and was pushed around since I started working there and they did nothing about it! Even when I got framed cause someone put my name on one of the tip jar saying it belongs to me and that could’ve cost me my job they didn’t do nothing about it even though they were getting all on me about it smh they act like it’s so hard to look in the security camera to see who had done it and so they can be held accountable smfh. Worst part was, I had a seizure at work and one of the manager didn’t let me go home unless I used my pto or take a point ridiculous! It’s a life threatening medical condition I shouldn’t have to use any of those smfh. Action needs to be taken by us employees who are treated unfairly so they can change their ways.

That all changed after 9/11...then I heard over and over "thank you for your service". I took all that with a grain of salt. People are sometimes ignorant and often fickle and, as far as I'm concerned they can stick their negative comments where the sun don't shine and they can save the positive ones for someone who needs them more than I do. Hey y'all! Sam's Club employee here. Fun fact for you, we aren't allowed to be sick.
I started in July of 2019, and to the best of my knowledge this policy hasn't changed. If you sustain an injury that prevents you from working or contract a disease that might spread to your coworkers and customers, they still expect you to come in. Failure to do so will result in the same punishment applicable for missing a shift. Doctor's notes saying that you can't work/are contagious make no difference. The policy spells out that the only way you can miss a shift due to injury/illness without being penalized is with a death certificate. I'm not sure how you're supposed to hand them a death certificate if you're already dead. The only exception to this rule is if you have a doctor's note for Covid-19. Every other disease and injury doesn't matter I guess.
