Have you ever had Kinako before? Kinako is a nutty flavored powder used in Asian cuisine, which is made out of roasted soybean. It makes a great pair Anpan, also known as red bean buns. Kinako flavored dessert seems to be a recent trend in the Korean pastry scene. I see them literally everywhere on Instagram! I will have to try out few more recipes to make dessert out of this Kinako, but I knew for sure it would go well with Anpan.
Of course, you can enjoy these red bean buns as it is, or just add plain whipped cream to make Cream Anpans.
If you don't want to make a mess everywhere while eating these, add the kinako while you are whipping the whipped cream.
