I like your "Down to earth" evaluation on the XC90 T8, 2018. You are the "hands on/real driving world" guy who puts the Km. and can talk frankly about this car. Kudos to you my friend and thanks for your truthfulness.

This car has an almost timeless design already.
Kris, the 2018 XC90 diesels are lovely and so much refined compared to the earlier models. Volvo had to improve them given the negative reviews they had for their diesels. The T8 is the king I must say!
Hey Kris, your videos are really so enjoyable, thanks for them ! One question, in min 8:50 we can see your consumption and it indicates TM 9.8 l/100km and TA 20.3 l/100km. TM seems reasonable but why the TA is so high ? Do you remember ? Any explanations to share with us? Thanks again and continue like this !

You asked for questions, so I have a question regarding which tyres you use, I seem to remember that you have winter tyres on now ? and switch to summer tyres, is it April ? but I would like to pass on some info on a brilliant set of tyres that are great in winter AND summer, so need to keep switching twice each year !!
I tried these with a great deal of scepticism !! as you will I'm sure, but not only are they great in the snow, and grip brilliantly in the summer, they are also incredibly quiet tyres ! I have never experienced a tyre that is so quiet in my 50 years of driving !! a fantastic all rounder ! may be you have heard about these tyres before ? they are Nexen N'Priz 4S another great winter/ summer tyre apparently is the Michelin Cross Climate tyres, seen a video of them on YouYube, superb tyre, but these Nexen's are as good in my opinion at considerably less expense ! plus you save money by not having to pay the dealer to change tyres twice a year !
Hey kris, love the videos doing a great job with them. What do you think of the Bowers and Wilkins audio system, how does it compare to other brands. Looking to buy an xc90 t8 in the future. Another question, what do you think of the shifting knob glowing at night (is it distracting) and the new way of shifting gears like, (from what I know you pull it back each time to cycle through the gears)compared to traditional way. Hello Kris, Nice car you got there. One question though since you have it for quite some time i would like to know the real consumption of the Hybrid. And to be more specific i would like to know the average consumption on the highway with speeds up to 130-140 km/h not running just on electric motor but running both motors.
Great video. Totally agree that Audi are flashy but the quality is not that amazing in reality. I worked on a BMW X1 yesterday and the interior plastics in most places was nasty - down there a Proton Satria lol

I been following your youtube channel and watched all your XC90 videos, marvelous job you did there! And I'm now on my journey to purchase the T6 Inscription XC90. Now comes the question, do you know if there are under the hood change Volvo did to the 2018 XC90 that lacks in the 2017 version? The main concern I have are the ride quality and the engine noise. As you stated in your 2018 T8 video Volvo did a great job addressing those issue, and how about the 2017?

I completely agree with all the reasons you listed. Would just add the 11th; that is the neutral image Volvo cars possess compared to the German premium ones.
I'm ready to see less snow and more springtime in Norway. Wait.....maybe this is springtime in Norway.

It seems there was a major upgrade to the air suspension ride quality around 2018? Prior to that, the reviews were poor, but after everyone says it now feels like a true luxury ride.

If you drive long distances why did you select a T8 plug-in hybrid? After the battery is depleted you're running on a petrol engine that is a little thirstier than a B5 or B6 petrol engine?
I ask because I'm currently spec:ing a new XC90, and since I frequently drive long distances I'm thinking of getting the B5 or B6 petrol engine.
I'd appreciate your thoughts.

How often do you change the front glass in Norwegian winter conditions ?
Usually They last the life of the car. So 20+ years.
But you often get cracks from rocks. And can be lucky to Get it filled. If not you have to pay 2k nok for a new window
Hey Kris! Just ordered my wife a 18 T6 Inscription. I noticed you have the retractable rear cargo cover. My dealer told me it wasn’t available in 2018. I know the “tracks” are still there so I guess I can pick up one for an earlier model year. Is that what you did or were you able to get it from the factory on your 2018? Great videos also buddy!👍🏻

Because of an extra radiator which cools the battery.
I hope you don't handle the steering wheel the same way you're handling the camera.

T8 is a plug-in hybrid of an electric motor plus a 4 cyclinder gas engine.

I got the T6 xc90 inscription , my mother has the new Lexus Rx350, to be honest the ride quality , comfort, and refinement of the xc90 is quite far off from The rx350....the xc90 has way more tech but the Lexus just drives so much better....seats are more comfortable too on the lexus.

I think the XC90 is a horrible luxury SUV. It drives harsh, has hard/stiff Napa leather seats not comfortable for long distance driving and the all-touch infotainment is the worst I have ever used.
Volvos absolutely plummet in value after purchase. Worse than Audi and brutally compared to Lexus.
