Actually SingerTree Studio here -- you've mastered this part, so many thanks. The Rotex 40-grit phase seems more like "wiping" away undulations. Can't wait to build my own!
Great video. Keep it up. Would love to see a video of how you shape the leading edge and bottom of the seat as well as a detailed video of shaping a joint from start to finish.
Do i have to use force a lil bit for the sander for all grit?..bcoz now i just use force for 80 and 100 grit to make it flat after use the planner... For grit above that i just push it forward
Love the videos, can't get enough of the chair making vids. Do you leave in rotex for all grits ? Also do you have a source for the new sandpaper you are using. Thanks

Thank you for watching. Yes I am always in rotex mode. I do have one here where I live, where are you located? Perhaps I can help.
sculpting the seat seems to be the part that requires more work on a maloof chair, how much do you think it takes to you?
Its definitely time consuming - to get it really smooth and flat takes me about 1.5hrs
Is there a handtool, scraper or something, that might speed this process along? Or is the rotex the fastest way to go?
I think some people use a scraper or draw knife. I am just most comfortable with this method. Always curious to see how other people do it though!
I have used a nice sharp curved scraper to get the high spots, works fairly fast. GaraWood is a good guy to follow for making a rocker.
Are you using 3M paper?
I use 3M, Festool and SIA paper - you?
@@GaraWoodWoodworking Indasa Red Line. Just got some 3M Cubitron to try.
