And yet Batman follows Jay's principle despite living and growing up there. He never took a life (in this timeline at least) As he said. It's a reason not an excuse.
For those asking about Bane’s father, the man was named Edmund Dorrance AKA King Snake. Dorrance led a revolt against the dictatorship of the Caribbean island country of Santa Prisca. The revolt failed, but the Santa Prisca government was unable to capture King Snake. To make an example of him for his actions, they instead imprisoned his pregnant wife so that she and their child would carry out his prison sentence. That’s why Bane was born in a prison.
Barry's read up on Bane 👀 Edit: That's probably the cruelest thing you could do to Dorrance. The ultimate revenge. Knowing Dorrance gave up his life to fight tyrants, they turned Dorrance's son into one.
See that's the thing about him, especially Barry he's the REAL deal. I know he's "just" a comic book character, but even then, he's the most honest character you'll get!
This reminds me of that episode of Justice League where the Flash had a talk with the Trickster, genuinely sympathised with him, was worried about him being off his meds and promised to visit him in the hospital. He even got the Trickster to reveal the other villains' ambush plan just by being nice to him. The ending especially gets me. Batman and Orion ask him "What about your villain?" and Flash goes "Oh, right. Dude, soon as you finish your drink, remember to turn yourself in!" and the Trickster smiles and goes "Got me again, Flash!" and you know he's actually gonna do it.
Funny thing is that the flash in the justice league is wally. Wally is the one who sympathizes with his villains but people think that it's barry who does that more.
Saw someone else say this about Peter and Barry, "They may not be in the same universe or have remotely similar powers, but you can definitely bet Flash and Spidey are soil sisters" whatever soil sisters means, but if I had to guess, it's something along the lines of having the same roots and ideals
If theres ever another crossover event i want those two to meet. They got identical personalities and itd be great dynamic, specially if they fought one of their respective villains

I love this about the Flash, just sad it's kind of become HIS thing rather then just...A thing. Like Batman does this too in most iterations, including most of the best ones, he's the kind of guy that let's Freeze escape so he can visit a graveyard and buys Harley a dress she wanted just because it's the right thing to do. This shouldn't be just a Flash thing no matter how great it is that he's kept it.
Flash has one of the most moral rogues gallery, so of course he'll try to reason with them. Batman is different, his rogues gallery isn't curable except Freeze Harley, and some others.
@@gorilla8811 Mostly true but I'm just talking general compassion. Batman is the guy that let Freeze go to save his henchmen and risked a city to talk to a child(talking about dcau just cause it's recognizable) and can't fight all out on Jason. Or you know Superman has tried to talk to Lex many times, for a different hero. Not saying they all have to act the same but sometimes it's like Flash is the only one to care about the people they fight in a lot of recent content.

This line actually connects very well with Barry's character as after years of battling his greatest enemy Eobard Thawne/Reverse-Flash, after enduring countless endeavours from Thawne, and living his entire life in pain and misery all because of one man, Barry is willing to forgive Thawne for every psychotic, prettily cruel and sadistic thing hes done to him throughout his entire existence, including making every moment of Barry's childhood a nightmare, fracturing the entire DC Universe for revenge, harming and even killing Barry's friends & loved one's (including his mother and framing Barry's father), and so much more etc... And even after all the atrocious things Thawne has done Barry has a big enough heart to channel the strength to forgive Thawne, not only showing howw much of a better and stronger person Barry is, but also juxtaposing Thawne's astronomically massive hatred/psychotic obsession with Barry, to the point that Thawne has cursed himself to become a living paradox all because of the needless hate he had for Barry, thus breaking Thawne.
@Moshin Rafsanjani Funny enough Barry did become a Blue Lantern of Hope during the Green Lantern Blackest Night Saga, which affected the entire DC Universe and had Barry with other heroes/villains given different lantern rings to fight alongside Green Lantern and the leaders of the seven Lantern Corps against Nekron the living manifestation of death and everything that existed before creation.

Unlike fighting with everyone like all the heroes, Flash always goes for talking first so they all may listen and realize their criminals, advancing them for a better decision on their way. Flash knows fighting isn't the only way to turn someone away from his offense.
I mean he does become regular flash in one version after he killed barry's origin by saving his mom so that Barry won't become a speedster. Reverse Flash is pretty decent when he isn't trying to ruin Barry's life

Pretty much shows how topsy turvy things became in injustice, when a villain just decides to change teams because too much is at stake, or because they finally have been shown the light.
@@neko-kun4356 (Acts and responds as Reverse Flash when against the characters and “When you save one life, you sacrifice another” is a line only he says, not Barry or Jay.)
This is why I love the heroes in DC that are clearly much younger then any of the other heroes in DC like Batman or Superman. They always just seem to believe more into doing what is truly right because of how they are different and new from the more old fashioned heroes. They always seem to show how despite a lack of experience, they can still be heroes with their hearts
Reverse Flash: You never let go of your past Mr. Freeze: Because my wife still cruelly suffers Reverse Flash: When you save one life, you sacrifice another
Kinda confused why the reverse flash seems to care about Freeze. Unless he is saying to let his wife die so he’s not held back and can be more evil. Idk
That's Jay Gerrick fool the original Flash. That's just his color scheme. Which Ieobard Thawne used for his costumes inspiration. Come on man did you really think reverse flash a good guy?
1:55 "You're a disgrace to your father's name." "He fought tyrants! You are one!" Can somebody explain that to me, I've never given Bane's father a thought until now.
dont remember what his father did, but if my brain can even hold 1 single memory, then i think that when bane was born he had to live out his fathers jail sentence. so hes basically been in prison since he was born.
Bane's father was jailed for being a leader in a resistance against a tyranny in Santa Prisca along with his pregnant wife (who had nothing to do with it). He died in prison and the tyrants decided that the son would carry out his father's sentence.
The fact that the flash who was formerly in the regime, is trying to help others so that they can have a normal life, while trying to get his life together after fighting for regime Superman in the first Injustice
"without limits, we become villains" This line can describe the story of Injustice. "Death is cold, Batman." Was always my favorite villain line, but this, is my favorite hero line :)
"Do you enjoy hurting people?" "Judgin' the book by its cover, pal." "Way to stick your foot in it, Jay." I love how Red's like "Eeh nice try but I'm not that kind of Demon." 🤣
This is one of the reasons why Flash is one of my all-time favorite fictional heroes. Even with the powers of a god he keeps himself, as well as fellow heroes, grounded so no one loses touch with their humanity (or more or less empathy for the innocent) and goes all Injustice in every possible DC universe. I suppose that's why the Justice Lords rose to power in the first place, they had no anchor to the people they swore to protect and inspire to do good. With Flash gone forever, they no longer felt they had to hold back to make sure the job got done, most likely permanently due to their brutal punishments and methods. Another example is in Justice League Unlimited when he defeats Trickster. He prevents him from getting pummeled to sit down at the bar with him and just talk. Flash: "James, you're off your meds aren't you?" Trickster: "Better off without em! 'Take em if I start feeling down." Flash: "You know that's not how the medicine works. You're not well." Trickster: "I'm fine! Wanna throw some darts?" Flash: "No.. Listen, James, you're wearing the suit again." Trickster: "I am? _he checks his outfit_ Well what do ya know?" Flash: "Here's the deal buddy: tell me where those guys went and I promise to come see you in the hospital. We'll play darts! The soft kind." Trickster: "Okay! They're gonna ambush you at the Flash museum." Flash: "See? That's all we needed! Come on, better get over there!" Orion: "What about your enemy?" Flash: "Oh right. Dude! Soon as you finish your drink, turn yourself in!" Trickster: *raises his glass* _"Got me again, Flash!"_ Flash: *gives a thumbs up and walks out with Batman and Orion* He treats a street-level thug as a _human being._ He knows James is just off his meds and sincerely wants to help him. Not all these criminals are truly evil at their core, some just need a little sympathy and a nudge in the right direction. Same goes for people in our world. Some people are simply victims of circumstance and aren't given the help they truly need to become the best people they can be. I have no doubt in my mind that Flash kept his promise and played darts with him later that week. Maybe they had playful banter when Trickster won. Trickster: "Better luck next time Flash! I win!" Flash: "You'll never get away with this, Trickster! Next time I'll beat you!" _they both laugh their butts off and end the visit with a nice cup of pudding, both of them eagerly awaiting the next scheduled Tuesday visit_
I main Captain Cold and one of his clashes with the Flash goes, Flash:"I know there's good in you." Captain Cold: "That makes one of us" And I love how at the end of CCs story he actually ends up becoming the Flash's crime fighting partner meaning that he actually does have good in him. Its a sweet ending.
This made me realize that The Flash is basically DC's version of Spiderman in pretty much every way except powers. Their morals, how they go about being a hero, their students, the various different versions, the alternate universe versions of themselves that they team up with, how they're basically the heart and soul of their respective universes and how they're widely known favorites of many people. Like imagine if Barry got the original Spider powers and Wally got the secondary spider powers with the invisibility and all that. Then imagine if Peter and Miles both got speedster abilities. Their Origins might be a bit different but basically nothing would change. Would be really interesting to explore tho.
Curt Connors: He’s returning! I can’t stop him! Berry: Stop this before people get hurt. Lizard: So sentimental. Just like Spider-Man. Kasady: This new world needs more CARNAGE. Berry: Stop this before people get hurt. Carnage: But Flash, that’s the whole point! Jay Garrick: A hero shouldn’t take extreme measures. Punisher: You’ve obviously never been to Hell’s Kitchen. Jay Garrick: Without limits, we become villains.
(into the spider verse) Reverse Flash: you never let go of your past. Kingpin: because my wife still cruelly suffers. Reverse Flash: Saving one life will sacrifice another.
It's nice to see that the joker they used, his makeup gave ressemblence to the Joaquin Phoenix one, showing he had a tragic past. They should have shown that Barry fixes reverse Flash... it would have been amazing.
"Way to stick your foot in it Jay" Still my favorite line, shows how quickly he is to correct himself on his actions, and also just how Hell boy is pretty understanding for the most part.
Anyone else notice that all of the Flash's, Golden Age Fash, Current Flash and Reverse Flash are all voiced by people from Crititcal Role? Unlike fighting with everyone like all the heroes, Flash always goes for talking first so they all may listen and realize their criminals, advancing them for a better decision on their way. Flash knows fighting isn't the only way to turn someone away from his offense.
2:45 as both a flash and Hellboy fan, I adore this interaction.
I love that it implies they wouldn't be fighting if this wasn't a fighting game
jay gerrick: without limits we become villains
Wisdom that I can agree with
@@jonathanmarshakaincredible1393 and common sense 2 right
@@rolando90s Absolutely
A hero without limits is not a hero, it’s just a person trying to make the right thing but without knowing when to stop, very deep
Like the punisher
Even reverse flash is trying to change people
He became evil only to get Barrys attention, he was just an fanboy before
Moral of that story: Don't ever try to meet your heroes. Especially when Time Travel is involved....
I mean he does become regular flash in one version after he killed barry's origin by saving his mom so that Barry won't become a speedster.
Reverse Flash is pretty decent when he isn't trying to ruin Barry's life
"pains no excuse for criminality." I love that line
“Two words: Billy Batson.”
Holy god, Cyborg gotta quit the match after that
I actually really liked the exchange between Reverse Flash and Mr. Freeze, it showed a bit of Thawn’s complexity
When I was younger I wasn't a big fan of Flash now he's one of my favorite heroes in Injustice and Canon.
"You don't believe people can change?"
"I did and this is where it got me"
I can relate to that one😔
We all like the flash.
most likeable hero!
Yeah, WE do! Too bad WB/DC doesn't feel the same way, otherwise he would've had a movie a LONG time ago! The one he's getting now, doesn't look that good either. That's WB/DC for ya!
@DC Boy at least the first few seasons were good.
@@flexprime2010 but...Spider-Man tho...🥺
He's like DC's spider man
“This isnt *your* world to protect”
“Doesnt matter, ill save it on principle”
“But will your principals save you”
Damn that line was good!
Captain Cold: Too late my heart's frozen
Flash: Let it go
Many subtle Disney references
They actually did the same thing in MK11.
THANK YOU!!
I been looking for a comment like this i was rolling 🤪🤣🤣🤣
2022 and this game still has so much meaning to me; it encourage me to read comics, it helped me discover my favorite character, discovered the pro legends that played the game and gave me hours of entertainment and still does. Beautiful game. Can´t wait for I3.
@DC Boy praise for your words
@Ryan Byrd seriously?
@DC Boy *COMIC Fan.
Who's your favorite character?
I loved injustice 1 since it released and I’m barely gonna play injustice 2 cause I only somewhat recently got a PS4 Pro. Can’t wait to play it
1:51 did the Reverse Flash just try to be a nice guy?
Pretty much shows how topsy turvy things became in injustice, when a villain just decides to change teams because too much is at stake, or because they finally have been shown the light.
I think just a moment of honest advice from something he has experienced
Or maybe, just maybe consider the fact that he's just a skin in this game and not an actual separate character?
@@neko-kun4356 (Acts and responds as Reverse Flash when against the characters and “When you save one life, you sacrifice another” is a line only he says, not Barry or Jay.)
@@neko-kun4356 certain skins act as separate characters. Like, Vixen has different lines than cheetah
"Too late. My heart's frozen."

Meaningful and funny at the same time. Well played, Netherrealm.
You'll notice he had nothing negative to say to batman.
Or Supergirl.
Well Batman didn't become a murderous dictator...
@@kingkh001 that's fair

1:00 "Clearly you've never been to Gotham."
Jason!
No no, he's got a point
this is what I like about the flash he is more than just a hero.
He's a SUPER hero
he doesn't give up on the idea that people can change
He did change in injustice gods among us when he deflected from superman
This is why I love the heroes in DC that are clearly much younger then any of the other heroes in DC like Batman or Superman. They always just seem to believe more into doing what is truly right because of how they are different and new from the more old fashioned heroes. They always seem to show how despite a lack of experience, they can still be heroes with their hearts
Dude barry is in his 20'-30' meanwhile batman and superman arn't that far off, he isn't that young
@@ravivik3378 But still, the message carries.
Reverse Flash: You never let go of your past
Mr. Freeze: Because my wife still cruelly suffers
Reverse Flash: When you save one life, you sacrifice another
Hmm I don't know which kitchen appliances is blacker.
@@yoshijb9428 I don't think thats Jay Garrick, I guess player was just playing as Flash with the Reverse Flash skin, which is why he talks righteously
@@vanshgarg5514 no because reverse flash talks very rudely. Jay Gerrick had that exact coloring too

"You're a disgrace to your father's name."
"He fought tyrants! You are one!"
Can somebody explain that to me, I've never given Bane's father a thought until now.
dont remember what his father did, but if my brain can even hold 1 single memory, then i think that when bane was born he had to live out his fathers jail sentence.
so hes basically been in prison since he was born.
@@gruffalon02 I remember, he developed an iron will from being born in a prison, and a pretty bad one at that.
Bane's father was jailed for being a leader in a resistance against a tyranny in Santa Prisca along with his pregnant wife (who had nothing to do with it). He died in prison and the tyrants decided that the son would carry out his father's sentence.
@@danielhaire6677 You mean would
-(you said wouldn't)-
So that's why Bane is a villian?
The fact that the flash who was formerly in the regime, is trying to help others so that they can have a normal life, while trying to get his life together after fighting for regime Superman in the first Injustice
"without limits, we become villains"
This line can describe the story of Injustice.
"Death is cold, Batman." Was always my favorite villain line, but this, is my favorite hero line :)
I know it's one of the more lighthearted ones but the hellboy one really captures the spirit of the character to me
"Do you enjoy hurting people?"
"Judgin' the book by its cover, pal."
"Way to stick your foot in it, Jay."
I love how Red's like "Eeh nice try but I'm not that kind of Demon." 🤣
"I know, Barry."
Right in the heart.
Barry may move fast, but he thinks with a patient heart.
Reminder that out of all members of the Justice league, batman has the most respect for the flash.
Especially the Barry Allen version, because of his background as a criminologist.
Flash: "James, you're off your meds aren't you?"
Trickster: "Better off without em! 'Take em if I start feeling down."
Flash: "You know that's not how the medicine works. You're not well."
Trickster: "I'm fine! Wanna throw some darts?"
Flash: "No.. Listen, James, you're wearing the suit again."
Trickster: "I am? _he checks his outfit_ Well what do ya know?"
Flash: "Here's the deal buddy: tell me where those guys went and I promise to come see you in the hospital. We'll play darts! The soft kind."
Trickster: "Okay! They're gonna ambush you at the Flash museum."
Flash: "See? That's all we needed! Come on, better get over there!"
Orion: "What about your enemy?"
Flash: "Oh right. Dude! Soon as you finish your drink, turn yourself in!"
Trickster: *raises his glass* _"Got me again, Flash!"_
Flash: *gives a thumbs up and walks out with Batman and Orion*
He treats a street-level thug as a _human being._ He knows James is just off his meds and sincerely wants to help him.
I win!"
Flash: "You'll never get away with this, Trickster! Next time I'll beat you!"
_they both laugh their butts off and end the visit with a nice cup of pudding, both of them eagerly awaiting the next scheduled Tuesday visit_
This is now what I hope was cannon in the show, especially that ending.
I main Captain Cold and one of his clashes with the Flash goes,
Flash:"I know there's good in you."
Captain Cold: "That makes one of us"
And I love how at the end of CCs story he actually ends up becoming the Flash's crime fighting partner meaning that he actually does have good in him. Its a sweet ending.
The Flash, no matter what side he is on, he will always be a messenger of hope, and will always do the right thing
I love how nice Flash is and how he tries to help even villains!!
Superman’s the heart and soul of the DC universe.
"Yo! As soon as you finish your drink, turn yourself in!"
"Got me again, Flash!"
Travis Willingham as Jay Garrick makes me fucking MELT
ROY MUSTANG
Wait that's the retired Flash's name

Knuckles's voice actor.
"You get all your advice off bumper stickers?" GOD THAT IS SUCH A GOOD LINE AND ESPECIALLY FROM THE JOKER

"Let it go."
1:21 seeing Wonder Woman without her bracelets just looks wrong.
Whoever decided to kill the flash in the Injustice movie deserves the death penalty
I love how he tries to reason with everyone except Darkside and Braniac.
I like how Jay Garrick even if he doesn’t have all the details or the right words to say, he still tries to get his point across!
Wasn't expecting Reverse Flash (NOT against Barry or Jay, to add) and Hellboy here
Flash: Stop this...Now!
Superman: I can't belive you turned traitor, Barry!
Flash: I was a traitor, when I joined YOU!
We really need Marvel Vs DC.
PERFECT!
Punisher technically has limits, don’t hurt any innocent, at least i think that’s his limit
(into the spider verse)
Reverse Flash: you never let go of your past.
Kingpin: because my wife still cruelly suffers.
Reverse Flash: Saving one life will sacrifice another.
It's FUCKING RAAAWW!
Joker: "life is a meaningless joke"

Joker: "ok you got a point"
Yeah probably 100% Acuraate 🤣
Man that Injustice movie did Flash super dirty.
Superman: "Why are you on *my* Earth?"
Omniman: "Earth is not *yours* to conquer."
It's nice to see that the joker they used, his makeup gave ressemblence to the Joaquin Phoenix one, showing he had a tragic past. They should have shown that Barry fixes reverse Flash... it would have been amazing.
4:15 I love how deadshot, a psychopath who kills thousands, has a therapist. That’s probably why he kills, for him the bills would be massive

"Way to stick your foot in it Jay"
Still my favorite line, shows how quickly he is to correct himself on his actions, and also just how Hell boy is pretty understanding for the most part.
