Newnes State Forest Lithgow 4wding - Pipeline, Moon Rock, Spanish Steps HGT

Back at Lithgow for another Newnes adventure!!!
After realising we missed the famous sandstone cutting on Pipeline I couldn’t resist going back to tick it off the list. Also Matty a little upset he missed the first trip so it was a good enough reason for a little midweek run.
After getting final supplies in Lithgow we headed in to Newnes on State Mine Gully Rd and straight in to Pipeline. As soon as I got around the corner I knew we were in the right place with massive technical sandstone steps and remanence of the old steel pipes laying around. This is the stuff dreams are made of.
On to the Powerline track we just cruised in the direction of Moon Rock picking some technical challenging lines along the way. You can’t miss Moon Rock it’s a boulder just hanging out of one of the already crazy steep up hills on the Powerlines.
After ticking all this off before 10am we were pretty stoked with ourselves so we decided to kick it down a notch and go do some touristy things like check out lost city and the glow worm tunnels. Of course going Via Ranger Bob Track on the way.
The last track for the trip was Spanish Steps this time I decided we would go the opposite way for something a little different. It is definitely just as fun.

just wanted to know ,do u think A-trac woul have managed the same ??

In my opinion it wouldn’t, but keep in mind I drive a manual. It might be slightly better with an automatic. But it wouldn’t be smooth.

Is your Toyota twin locked or just rear locked diff ?
