  • After Bypassing Bril Bril State Forest on my last trip I decided to take my daughters exploring and camping.
I knew of a local secret spot called Punchbowl Falls. And for one reason or another I had never made it there. Deep in the bush there is a water fall that flows over a massive drop. Over the years the water has carved a perfect round pool on the edge of the cliff over the falls. If you want to swim in it I’d highly recommend taking some climbing gear or at least some rope.
So where is it? Well that’s a secret! But Bril Bril is the key. Get out there and explore.
From here we headed off to Wild Bull Campground in the Mt Boss State Forest. This is a small campground with a picnic table and a couple of fire rings. But the true highlight at wild Bull is the amazing river running beside the place with a massive tree overhanging the water to jump from. Around Wild Bull there is so many crystal clear water holes to explore
If you are looking for adventure and a great place to explore I can’t recommend checking out the back of Wauchope enough

Cool video mate. The 2nd waterfall and connecting holes, were they near Wild Bull campground? I'm heading up that way in late Sept and trying to plan the trip. Wondering if we should stay 1 or 2 nights.

If you stay on the main it’ll be fine. I did see 2wds at wild bull you’d just want to pic the lines in. There’s no service out there either so you’d need to be careful.
