If you ever feel useless, then just think how Kirk felt doing backing vocals with Jason on stage
Mega ducK lol
HAHAHAHAHA
heh
his mic is never on
OMEGALUL
4:41 - 5:00 Everytime Jason screams "DIE" feels like being shot with a revolver, "MOTHERFUCKER" feels like a double barrel shotgun.
I miss him, man
so true
I don’t think anybody did backup vocals better than Jason in the history of metal. He’s the most metal human being. If I ever go into a war or battle, I’m playing this song.
5:32 is what you came here for
Maybe 4:42 as well, but you know.
Man fuck you
Damn how did you know? lmao
Fuck yeahhh
I came here for the full video.
Jason Newsted brought the ultimate metal power and backup vocals to this jam to a whole new level. It'll never be played live the same without him. When i hear him do the die chant, i wanna eat a bowl of rusty fuckin razor blades and shit barbed wire.
80sMetallion Jason was the shit. No question
Jim Lunn explain please
@@jofusnufc841 hes trying to say Jason is better than cliff burton no one can out cliff burton on his solos
Best sum up 😂😂😂
I mean when they are just jamming before the die chant, and he's just running in a circle head banging, that just makes me want to break some windows
I never understood why Jason was treated like Meg from Family Guy. He was the best Metallica showman.
Meg from family guy lmfao that's hilarious 😂😂😂
misplaced grief in combination with drugs. They didn't mourn properly and as a result, the "outsider" suffered the brunt of it
Wow... that had me lmao! Meg. 🤣 sad but true. They were such dicks to Jason and I really loved him. He was amazing for them and they screwed up.
I was in the metallica club back then and I remember getting the club magazine... the articles in there from the guys. Jason's were always so long and about appreciating the fans and stuff. The other guys were short and like they didn't give a fk.
Same at the shows. I would stand on their path to the stage... Jason would walk out slapping everyone's hands, saying hi. The others come out with their arms crossed or with damn bodyguards! 🤣 no touch, no talk, no eye contact like Cesar Milan says when training dogs. LOL
they were like trying to avoid the fans while Jason was the only one who cared about them. I fricken miss him. ❤

👏
They don’t know what they had in Jason… Awesome bass player, had the attitude and stage presence and also had the BEST backing vocals of anyone in Metallica. Man I wish he was still in the band.
Rob is more skilled than Jason.
@@jasonclark9963 but Metallica with Jason is a completely different Beast.
Look at the reunion in 2012 or whenever it was, everyone was playing better and had more energy when Jason walked on Stage.
Of course Rob is good in his own right and doesnt have anything to prove to anyone, dont get me wrong.
But Jason was Metallicas Soul when he was with him and after he left, that pure Aggression on Stage was missing and Rob will never bring that specific part of Metallica back.
@@TakeasRealm Jason was something of a beast, soul of Metallica. There are some songs matter of fact most of the songs that were actually different when Jason played it, metallica will never be the same.
@@jasonclark9963 and what good or better does it do them?
@@jasonclark9963 Maybe but Jason has the vocals which are really strong. And Jason connected with the crowd better than Rob does.
4:41 - 5:00 is the definition of « put his heart and soul »
As much as I love Robert, Newsted matched better the spirit of Metallica and had so much energy.
Preach!
Jason's *DIE* on each concert makes me want eat chili peppers
Couldn't agree more
I’d say Rob fits more to the veteran and rather calm metallica they are today
Y :-)
@@raizer1946 or grind them up and snort them
This and number of the beast are my favorite Christian songs.
This one is actually Jewish
Technically inspired by a movie but ok.
@@Awnos ?
@@unknownartist7191 the band were watching the ten commandments and when the fog rolled in cliff said hey it's like creeping death and James wrote the lyrics based on the movie. Of course the movie is telling a Bible story but the song is specifically based on the movie not the Bible.
Angel of Death will break your hymnal
Jason Newsted's bass lines, TONE and string attack is IMPECCABLE. Unbelievable they made him walk.
He quit, wasn't fired by the band but yeah he was treated like shit
@@TheRoadhammer379 by making him walk they meant letting him go
@@TheRoadhammer379 he chose to go yes, but they didnt make any effort to convince him to stay, they actually did the opposite.
they really treated him like shit, especially at the beginning. they were still so distraught from losing cliff that they felt any replacement would have to earn their place, but they massively overdid it with the hazing
Jason wasnt even bothered by the hazing as much as not letting him do his side stuff he understood after cliff he was gonna be hazed and hazed hard
Jasons voice is god-like, if only he sang the whole song, or something like battery
He used to sing the entire Seek And Destroy sometimes. It's on youtube.
@@Evelina_412 look at 1993 istanbul concert
Jason sang in his band
He sang the four horseman a few time too
look up metallica show without james
Can we just appreciate the kirk solo for a moment? I mean this is arguably one of Metallica hardest solos, and he played it effortless and like 30% faster than the original song. That dude was a monster before touching the wah pedal.
respect
Kirk was using wah since KEA (No remorse) on 2nd and 3rd album he used it a bit more, no wah on justice and then it was a lot of wah. Yet Kirk had wah since his laste teens
Always was … I don’t know why people hate wah
@@AnibalAvelar
Guitar snobs. I’ve been playing my whole life and I still don’t understand WTF they’re bitching about.
Its not a hard solo and its played really sloppily on the recording let alone here
Its damn 2022 and I came here to charge my energy with Jason's vocals
The doctor prescribed it at least twice a year or as needed.
Nah I need this shit every day lol
The stage presence of Metallica was amazing...
Was? They're still insane.
is
tbh meta is amazing for a few last years, very similar to their presence till 92
@@mmikolaj Wrong, it’s was. I saw them in 2017 and it was average at best. I saw GNR a few weeks after and their stage presence was way better
During this time nobody was saying Megadeth was better.
Let it be known that Jason performed his heart out for Metallica
I'm obsessed with 4:42 - 5:05
Jason fucking killed it
Jason's "die" chant is so fucking brutal I can't help but giggle uncontrollably
Jason scream sounded like a nuclear bomb dropping to the ground AWESOME!!!
It’s been 25 years since I seen them live, Jason is still the heart and soul of the band.
Cliff is tho
WORD
Um that’d be James lol
Agree!!!
That's why they kick him
Cliff was legendary, rob is great too, but JASON. IS. METALLICA!
3:32 Mr Jason fucking Newsted
I miss Jason. He brought fire to the band.
Jason at 3.45.. need i say more... he was metallica in those days
Jason was GODLIKE
Jason!! Jason!! Jason!!
5:54 That "hell yeah" reminds me some death metal shit or something..JASON GOD
Jesus fucking Christ. Jason in his prime was a fucking madman.
I don't mean to disrespect Robert but I wish Jason was still in the band.
Some people don't realize that some of us fans don't even remember first line up and started listening to Metallica when Jason was in the band! For us he was the original member!
this energy that jason had is unbeatable
*Jason makes James the Backing vocals*
3:33 nice fuckin´ move!!!!
Metallica is Jason
💯
Jason was such the perfect fit. I prefer is vocals at the end over hetfields
like someone else said on a different video:
Jason being Metallicas Soul not only because he was a fan favorite but also because he was Metallicas biggest fan when he joined.. and they treated him like trash, my guy deserved better.
at least the fans never turned on him, Jason is an absolute beast!
I've seen them live 7 times, first time in 2003 when, I guess, they still had much physical power in them. But man, do I wish I had seen them back in the late 80s early 90s. They were a force to be reckoned with.
Damn 2003 must have been insane. I got to see them for the first time in ‘16 and it was great. I think it was the first stop in the Worldwired tour, so they were at a 100%, and we got the second live performance of Moth into Flame. The first performance was a month before on Cliff’s Death Anniversary.
2003... was it Rock am Ring?
@@schaefer1898 no, it was a Heineken Jammin Festival in Italy. Summer. I guess it was the very same tour that the went to Germany for Rock am Ring.
@@marcozeni6243 the same only with nice weather I guess (; Sounds like a great experience.
Greetings to Italia
Definitely wish Jase had a few more live songs. Love his voice on back-ups and the lead near the end.
Jasontallica only . . . miss this time
4:57 fuck yes ! Jason
Jason is the real fuckin deal.
JASON NEWSTED the best!
3:34 - 3:49 epic dance of jason
I love jason newsted
Jason is so Perfect for Metallica !
Jason just makes creeping death, that y it used to be their best live song, but not anymore:(
moniquey guy fade to black
The rest of the band is asking or telling you to die. Jason is fucking commanding you. Absolutely bone chilling.
Fuck, I miss Jason soo much
Jason was undoubtedly the best bass player ever for Metallica after cliff he added so much more to them he had big shoes to fill when cliff died
jason is the best 4ever !!!!!!!!!
Jasons my favorite metallica bass player because of his intensity. I wish the other guys didn’t treat him like shit
i really like the part where jason runs around before the "die die die" part, he just looks so fucking awesome doing it
This is why they say: we'll never stop, we'll never quit, cause we're METALLICA!!!!!!
Metallica at the best time! Motherfucking Jason forever...we love this Bassplayer..
Jason's stage presence is overpowered 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Imagine Spit Out The Bone with Jason on the second vocal
Is it me or Jason sound a little bit like Lemmy ?
right?
Hell yea he does
Charles Pothier-Tessier who the hell is lemmy
@@justagoon8857 you did not just say that
@@justagoon8857 Lemmy Kilmister from Motorhead
I miss the energy Jason brought. Rob can play but he lacks the energy.
Jason's vocals 👌
Jason es el sinónimo de energía, entrega, pasión, amor por la música y sobre todo todo el rencor que tenía atorado por james, Lars y kirk lo sacaba en el escenario
Jason freakin Newsted
This song bites so much harder with their heavier tune
Jason, yuo are amazing dude!
Just let's appreciate that Jason is alive and well, comparing to pharaoh son
4:43 Jason Rocks!!!
who else think jason sings the chorus better?
Fuck you tube it wont let me like shit tthat matters
The stage presence these guys had back in the day is unreal, but goddamn Jason is like Animal if he played bass!!!
God I wish this was on spotify
Jason is and always will be the hidden gem in that band.
Jason never got the appreciation or recognition he deserved.
Jason!!! Brutal
Greatest metal song ever..jason goes into fucking beast mode on it every time! Incredible energy! Jason kills it!
Kirk is so good he magically switches guitars while playing lol
Lmao it's probably a mix of multiple performances
Jason rule the world
Impresionante Jason newsted, después de cliff, le diste vida y potencia a Metallica , number one play bass
Oh the good old days. Jason FORCED Metallica to be metal.
newsted was such a monster
That is as badass as it gets. I have seen them live and there are no word s that could do justice to the raw, unadulterated tenacity of this legendary band and it’s pure Metal. Jason is so badass on that base and I have NEVER seen anyone that can bang like Jason. I am so glad my best friend and I got to see them live before Jason left 🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
Oh god me too. Saw them many times with Jason. I feel sorry for the youngins that will never be able to, because they are not the same band now.
@@tjanderson6561 I totally agree

BRING HIM BACK !! JASON~beast!!!
Oh I miss Jason😢

4:40 YEAH, IT NEVER GETS FUCKING OLD
James’ voice during the early 90’s🤤

JASON JASON JASON!!!
Jesus Jason Newstead brought a whole different energy to this song. Creeping death always gives me goose bumps but this was fucking rad
Jason is my hero
5:32 this kind of sounds like if lemmy would cover creeping death
fuck yeah!!!! Jason is a kick ass motherF bad ass!!!! die die die mother fucker die!!!!!, 4erver METALLICA... best band ever was, is, and will be...
There's blood boiling inside Jason and it's awesome.
I want to be like Jason 😭
Esto era cuando la mierda era buena el hueco de jason al salir jamas sera llenado escuchen esos coros no mas le daba una bibra y una energia ala banda como nadie se te estrana bro
Ahhh back when people went to a concert to get down and not stand with 10,000 smart phones stuck in the air. Brawls for every pic or drum stick tossed into the crowd. You’d get into a punching, kicking frenzy grabbing for a pic; soon as you got it the dude who you just punched or punched you would buy you a beer and congratulate you. Different times.
Man I wish I loved in your time dude
Still have a Nick Menza stick I had to fight damn hard for over 20 years ago! Different times indeed.
Even if you only have 1 ppm of primal instinct in you, that 3:31 ought to bring it out and urge you to headbang... ffs this is the best metal's gotta offer live!
No one can sing die motherfucker like Jason. Miss him.
Love this gig.
Amazing Long live killer Jason! 🤘🙏for sharing!🤘
Fav Metallica video, Jason rock man!
