- Setup in video. 2002 Grand Marquis 124k miles. It's a really good sounding exhaust setup and I highly recommend it. It cost me about 450-500 dollars at a local exhaust shop.
This car is now for sale in central Illinois. 3500 obo
Thanks for letting us know what you're using. Too many fools just post Grand Marquis dual exhaust.
Right? Like ok we know it's exhaust we ain't dumb what else is it son.
and yet you won't believe how many comments are still asking me how its set up. Go get fucked. If you cant read the damn slide then you can go to hell
hoping too get one of these as a first car love these things.
Yeah they are real fun to drive. Im selling mine soon if youre in illinois!
My first and current is a grand marquis
Just bought mine yesterday, just need to convert the air suspension to spring and she'll be in perfect condition. Very nice cars
Their cool bro
My dad actually bought a 2005 grand marquis ls around 4 or 5 years ago, it sat in our yard for about 3 years until we replace the alternator, tires, and gave it a good cleanup for it to be my first car. If you want some pictures of it before i got it cleaned up and fixed you can add me on insta at allendidathing. It isnt a promo i just really like my grand marquis lol
Thanks for being one of the few to make an exhaust video the right way! I love the magnaflow xl's on my 99, but the super 10's you had on this were great too!
This sounds really good. Nice loud and deep rumble but not too obnoxious.
Right doesn't have that drone that will give you a headache after a while.
Great Video no talking just exhaust! I love it!
I took my 2005 town car to an exhaust shop today and they told me they couldn’t put my super 10’s in because the were center in center out and that they would “hit the driveshaft” but I have a hard time believing them because the stock mufflers are the size of 5 gallon buckets. Anyway the car sounds amazing man I want this setup
You need center in/offset out for panthers to put them in the stock location, otherwise they'd need to do some more fab work with the tailpipes
She sounds really good 👌
Absolutely enjoyed every min! Thanks 💪🏾💪🏾
man that sounds sick i have borla turbos and these sound really loud n good.
That's the perfect sound. Time to dust off the credit card..
I love the dark interior i looked all over for one with a charcoal interior and just couldn't find one..
Yeah i like it, its a unique color scheme. Ill be selling this car in a couple months if youre interested, im located in illinois
Tyler Fabish The wife would kill me if i bought another car.. right now i have the 2008 Mercury Grand Marquis, a 73 F150, 18 GTI I'm trying to sell, 15 Camry, and a 19 Audi S3.. pretty sure if i took another home I'd have to sleep in it..
@@shartingfish5761 yeah sounds like you need to start cleaning house
ShartingFish Chicks don't get it.
How much ?
I just bought an 05 with 49k and was wondering what exhaust to get. This sounds great. Bear Down
yep. On the inside you definitely know it's there but it doesn't prevent you from having a conversation or give you a headache. on the outside it has some rumble when cruising and a real growl when heavier on the gas. the video portrays this quite well
That's a super sharp car. I just scored a clean 01, silver like yours. I was wondering what Torq Thrusts would look like on it. I've got a black 05 CVPI with an exhaust, love the sound. These are super good cars, I'd like a yard full of them.
Thanks buddy! It's all I wanted to do for mods on this car anyway. Some nice american racing wheels and a true dual exhaust, just a tastefully modded muscle sedan. I gotta sell this car soon so I hope I can find someone as passionate as you who will appreciate the mods and not think I'm overcharging for an old granny sedan
Hey like i said its going up for sale soon! I love this thing but got too many cars and bikes
Rex Cars torque thusts on these..hell yes!!! As a fan of this model and those wheels, i’d say that’s the ONLY style aftermarket wheel i’d get👍
@@LongDongSilver78 car is FOR SALE, get it as pictured
I just put 18x8 torq thrust M's on my 99 last month. Haven't looked back!
Thanks man I now know what I'm getting for mine I love growl.
I have single stock exhaust grand marquis right now. What else do I need to make mine sound like that? H-pipe? Any special tips, like marauder tips?
Check my other videos. It details it
Hey what's up bro. The car sounds really good and has a great rumble to it. I couldn't help notice tho that you had a red cord with a dv adapter from the cassette player I'm assuming thats you use it for playing music. I too have a panther body ( 03 lx vic) and am looking for an alternative to playing music from just using the old radio. I'd really appreciate if you could tell me what products you use. Appreciate it bro, super clean car.
Thanks. And its just the stock sound system with the tape deck heaphone adapter
Check my other videos of this car if you wanna see what its about. I also have a bad ass ranger now too with a meaty exhaust, videos up for that too
Imma about to get my rear cats deleted since I have the super 10s
Glad I could assist with that decision. I think you'll like it.
@@tylerfabish5578 does the car still pass smog with rear cats deleted
@@robb6787 no clue. We dont smog here
What other components besides the duals flowmaster 10s your using? Headers? Hpipe or x pipe?
Did you ever get any check engine light with the rear cats deleted? mine has the downstream oxygen sensors after the rear converters. Thing sounds wild lol. I just have glasspacks on mine. Mellow when cruising and idle but they get pretty loud on throttle.
Theres no o2 sensors after the 2nd cats, so no CEL
@@tylerfabish5578 I guess I'll have to check mine again. But I remembered there being o2 sensors after the rear cats. Mine is a 1999, so they may have changed it one year. Other than making it sound better, did you notice a power gain from gutting the rear cats?
@@MattsRageFitGarage cant say i really noticed much. grand marquis isn't a fast car anyway. Theres a set of o2 sensors on the headers, and a set of o2 sensors after the first set of cats. there is no o2 sensors after the 2nd set of cats, this is how almost all cars of this era are.
1986FordF-250 You can get the threaded bung for the sensor and weld it in behind the front cat if that's the case. Auto parts stores all carry them.
@@MattsRageFitGarage I did the exhaust on my 99 Vic, no sensors behind the 2nd row of cats
What's the Part# to the Mufflers you used in this set-up?
which version of the Flowmaster super 10 did you get? There are so many options online. I would like the exact ones you installed. 2.5”? Centered? Offset? Thanks man
I think it was center in center out. Cant remember the pipe size. Either 2.25 or 2.5. Call your local exhaust shop who will be doing the work and ask which size they work with
Sounds incredible but it sounds too good for how damn slow the car is.
Those cars are not slow
As someone with a 99 Vic with magnaflows as a daily, I felt this comment haha
@@mayonotarapper5758 yeah man, sorry to say it but they're quite slow. I had a 96 town car, an 02 grand marquis, and my daily is a 99 Vic. Too much weight and too little power. Unfortunately, the police ones do not have more power than the civilian ones, despite the myths. They have upgraded suspension, electrical, and cooling though. You can make them fast, but it's not cheap. Freaking fantastic cars though
@@LowlyDegenerate you can get them going pretty quick if you know what you are doing. Twin turbos wake up just about everything you throw them on.
Hi buddy hope you don't mind me asking did you keep the stock piping and have the shop just change the mufflers put the h pipe and tips?
The shop took a sawzall to the exhaust between the primary and secondary cats up by the engine block. From there they fabbed up the rest of it. I think they ordered the tailpipe sections from oreilly auto parts, but everything else was fabricated.
@@tylerfabish5578 how much was it altogether if you don't mind me asking. I know it was a year ago but I just got my mom's because she was gonna scrap it so I gave her $250 for it.
I spent 100 for super 10s dual and cat delete
So the 10 ser. Flowmaster will give me this sound because I straight piped mine and is loss backpresser now obviously I know I will delete the back cats but I think I have the y pipe I’m two in to a single out
Just follow the build in the description. I had a shop do it.
1. Remove rear cats (NOT ALL 4)
2. have them run an H pipe
3. Run a flowmaster 10 series muffler on each side
4. Run the tailpipes out
5. pick out your tips, I used chrome slash cuts
@@tylerfabish5578 what you paid
@@southside1788 the description says about 450-500
You in Illinois? Need mgm advice and tips
Yes
Hey! I couldn't tell exactly from the video but with this setup did you have any drone at all?
No drone. If you have tailpipes it doesnt drone at all
Tyler Fabish Awesome great to know.
@@Rockcem1 if you are "youtube shopping" to find a good exhaust, you gotta trust me this is the best one you could possibly do. Lots of growl but cruising on the freeway doesnt affect your music or conversation at all, its just a small rumbling
Tyler Fabish Yup! That’s exactly what I was looking for. There’s a lot of straight pipe duals that sound good at start up and rev but I was worried about just cruising. So you only removed 1 of 4 cats right? Just the last one
@@Rockcem1 these cars have 4 cats. 2 per side. They bolt on right behind the headers. They are connected to each other so they may appear to actually be 1 big cat per side but it really is two. The secondary cats are behind the secondary o2 sensor, those are the ones i told the shop to chop off. This keeps the CEL from coming on. Then i had them fab an H pipe and run true duals with the flowmasters i brought in. Best to talk to your local exhaust shop beforehand so you can get the right ones
Aye im from central Illinois where are you located?
Peoria area. Car was sold last month though
Is it still for sale
Nope sorry
do the tips affect the sound or anything??
No but they look good
Still for sale?
Yes I posted it last week
I would love to do that to my 1997 Mercury Grand Marquis but CALIFORNIA has STRICT ENGINE MODIFICATION LAWS!🤦🏽😪
Cali sucks, this wouldn’t fall under an engine mod but it probably wouldn’t pass their sound restrictions
All bark and no bite unfortunately 😢
Nope !
