Thanks for watching! I did a terrible job of showing how bright they are during daylight - and too good of job during nighttime! lol. They're quite nice/bright during daylight. They holding up great, massive storms in CA the past few weeks and 2 car washes and nothing leaking, which is great. Functionally, they're solid
Unfortunately, these lights have a common start-up sequence fault (see Tacoma World forums). If your lights are on Auto, the sequence won't engage. Only when your lights are in the ON position does the sequence "try" to begin. And you must have a remote start. Starting manually won't work on any setting. I spent $500 for a faulty product.
Form is aware of certain model Tacoma's with the issue. 90% of the time it's people that have left their lights in the "auto" position and expecting it to turn on. Honestly, the start up sequence is all hype - as the driver of the truck, you'll likely never see it.
Can you elaborate a bit more ? So it don't work for trucks with auto lights?
I backed into a tree a couple of months ago and put a crack in the lens of my Alpha Rex Luxx, which, isn't too badly damaged, it's only the lens. Still, when these first came out I thought they match the Alpha Rex head lamps better. Their tail lights have more of a fiber optic tube than these, and the turn signal sequence seems to match (in my opinion). Plus this start up function is sick. I'm having difficulty deciding between these and the infinity tails but, I think I'd go with these, personal. Not sure what I will end up doing with my other set of tails. I have a set of non sequential smoked led tails from extremeterraign and the Alpha rex luxx.
I actually prefer the Alpharex over the Form. I ended up selling the Form once I got the Luxx's from Alpharex.

Nope, these are 100% plug and play. They've been in my truck for about a month now and zero issues.

So for the cool Startup Sequence it does not work with Remote start, cause we have to manually change over to turn lights on then the cool Startup Sequence starts Right?
Not sure with remote start...I've literally only used that once! lol. I know mine work when I start up the truck...and the lights are turned on

@@mistdelusion3238 Try starting your truck....and turn on you headlights (full on) All while leaving it in park. Once you change to drive/reverse, it will cut off the sequence. I believe it will not work if you have your headlights on auto or remote start. There are cases identified by Form that certain models/years were having issues with the start up sequence.

There's been a few documented cases (by Form) on this issue. Please note, that you must turn on your truck (while in park), then turn on your full lights to see the start up sequence. Once you shift to drive/reverse, it cancels out the sequence. Please contact Form if you';re still having issues

@@itsmejona5938 I believe it was designed to "start up" when you switch your lights all the way to "head lights on" on the stalk. 4 clicks over. Either way, contact Form. Mine don't have this issue, but I never rely on Auto headlights.
Would you say it’s better than morimoto tail lights ?
I really like the design ion the Morimotos. They really look good. I made the decision on these based some on price - they're down to about $420 and they have US based service/support.
Mine do not do the dancing feature! Not sure how to fix that…
One trouble shooting note: Your lights cannot be on "Auto" for this to work. Otherwise, there have been isolated models/years with this issue - best thing to do is contact Form for that info
Theyre nice but im having issue with the startup sequence. Not even loading
Strange. Mine do it every time I start my truck with the lights on. I believe it only starts when you turn your full lights on though

@@jameshuang15 Test it. Turn the truck off, turn the lights off. Start the truck, turn the lights on. Don't put the truck in drive. It should boot up the starting sequence like shown in my video. Once the truck is in drive, the sequence is cancelled

Just installed mine and had the same issue. This sequence fixed my startup sequence also.
I just installed these on my truck and the start up sequence isn’t working. Everything else works fine but I can’t get the start up to work. Do I need to activate it somehow or when is it supposed to do the sequence? I assumed when unlocked but it’s just flashing as a normal tail light would
The start up sequence only happens when you start the truck and before you put in gear.

@@tacomanetwork seems kinda stupid to me to not work in auto. Idk why they’d make that be the case. Just have it always do it by default you know🤷♂️? I’m going to call Form tomorrow and see what’s up
@@tacomanetwork just wanted to give ya an update…I called Form today and was told they’re aware of this with some lights and they’re working to fix it. I was told to email them with my make/model/year so they could document that. They also told me the start up sequence should work in any headlight setting including auto and go through it once the truck is started so long as they’re working properly. I tried in all other headlight modes and no luck for me so I’m waiting to hear back to my email now. It’s a new product so there will be little issues like this but they’re handling it very well so far!

Form’s first batch of these hit in January, when I got mine…..and I believe they sold out faster than anticipated. Their second batch is hitting early/mid May, so it shouldn’t be much longer

Looks good but need comments from a Canadian user. Most after market lights from China have leaks after a winter above the 45th parrallel. Since this is Chinese, I would not touch that one either until I see reviews. Nevertheless, it looks very good.
I accidentally broke one of my 2022 tail light and replaced it for 280$ CAN from the dealership. I prefered to pay more but have no leak. Buy cheap then replace it again for dealership one. It becomes more expensive than buy one from the dealership in the first place.
Being that I’m from California, I can’t comment on that…..but we have literally had rain the past 7 days since Iinstalled them and they’re still water tight. I’ve been checking every day to see if any water has migrated in and nothing. What I like about Form is that they’re based in the US, so if I have a problem, they deal with it vs. something direct from China or even Amazon would be a nightmare.
@@tacomanetwork Indeed, all the ones I've checked were from Amazon, I mean ALL OF THEM were having very good reviews and still ALL OF THEM were still having bad review as well, all related to water infiltration. So I kept the chrome and got the original one at the dealership.
I was wary of the same thing....as to not buy cheap (or even expensive) lights from a company that wouldn't respond if there was an issue. Even the supposed bigger companies like Morimoto and Alpharex have had issues. I'll be the guinea pig here and test these out 😁

The seals on the lights don’t hold! Water leaked into mine already! Customer service is a joke!
The seem weak during the day but really bright at night
I was in direct sunlight at about 1pm.....the camera (even though it's a Panasonic GH6) doesn't do it justice! lol
Very nice but smoked tail light is illegal
According to Form: "Road Legal. The smoked lens color illuminates with red LEDs, and features an integrated retroreflector sidemarker and running light, just like the factory lamp. These lamps are SAE and DOT-compliant for on-road use."
Looks nice but as always worried about the quality of these after market products not to mention the price thats too high.
Quality so far has been good. Usually, if things go bad in these, they go right away.

You have the Morimoto ones at over $600...which I really liked as well. The downfall of "cheaper" tails are the amazon variants that have their own issues (usually leaking and causing electrical issues) which usually fall in the sub $300 category. I'm willing to spend a bit more for a quality item AND a company that's based in the US if I have an issue with them.
Rrrrrreally wish these were brighter in the daytime. Just too dim.
In all fairness, I had the sun behind me while shooting the daytime content. They are pretty bright during the daytime
@@tacomanetwork Understandable, but you also shot it right up against the light. Anything I've seen at somewhat of a distance, and they are hardly noticeable.

VERY VERY WATER TRANSMINATED ON THE EDGES NOT RECOMMENDED I HAD TO PUT SILICONE ON THE EDGES AFTER 4 MONTHS ONE SIDE STOP BEING BRIGHTER TOO EXPENSIVE FOR HOW LONG THEY LAST🤨
I HEAR YOU! I hadn't experienced any water egress in these....but I did have one start hyper flashing which took Form about 2 months to replace.
