• Dutch coach VS America...
Show @Glennio_NL some love!
#Dutch #reaction #Interview
Dutch directness at its finest.
How is this even direct. The U.S interviewer was being a clown and the Dutch coach just said what he thought
..... oh wait thats directness , im dutch lol , i guess im used to it 😅😂
Indeed😎
"I hear euro- envy" the American cried to the Dutch man while pretending to not be jealous
Well, if you ask a question to a Dutch person, don't be surprised you actually get an straightforward answer 😃
Legendary interview. Say it like it is. No BS. Dont ask stupid questions, or this happens.
The Netherlands is second biggest just after the U.S. in food export in the world.
And they invented
Wifi, C.D., AMSL is dictating the American computer-branch😅
This is so true 😊😂🤣😎
plz dont make them cry 😂😂
@@richardhltrp1791 The Dutch are very
'ground-based'
They never brag about their country (or maybe
culturally not being allowed)
So I do it FOR them.
(not being Dutch myself)
Not in production in absolute values. We are the 2nd exporter because of the shipping via Rotterdam. That also explains why cacao butter is in the top 10 Dutch agricultural export products.😂
@@jsb7975Well, I'm Dutch and I'm telling you that we do brag, at least much more compared to the Belgians. I live in the south of the country, and everywhere they brag, especially northwest of the Maas river. I'm not the type of guy to brag, though. If someone would feel I'm bragging about something, I'd just shut up.
But man, is that guy on the left blind in the brain. We aren't successful at most sports, especially at the Winter Olympics but if he thinks that we only do one thing, he certainly doesn't watch much of anything. We have top teams in both genders at field hockey, we're probably the best country in the world at korfball, we conquered ourselves a spot with top world players at darts, we have been 'feared' by teams at multiple tournaments of soccer (like the World Cup), we've had some success at athletics recently as the women's running team became world champions, and there are a few fighting discipline sports we have some top fighters for (for example, who does he think Rico Verhoeven is). It's not to brag, but just to make clear that ice skating is not the only thing we know or do.
The interviewer said "call me when you win something in another sport". Well I guess the coach called, because at the last Summer Olympics the Netherlands won 36! medals. We were actually the best EU country, not so bad considdering France, Germany, Italy, Spain a.o. are also in the EU
Juist
Waar een klein land groot in kan zijn❤
And the UK not being in the EU anymore.
Have not seen this before, but that was funny as heck!
And don't forget- 350 million vs 18 million people. :D
Round and round and round hahaha Yes like the indy 500 hahahaha round and round and round. And you love it. Same thing.
Does the American in the studio know the size of the Netherlands compared to the US? If we scaled the size to the US and our economy would scale with it…
@@MrDjTilo true but that's because Americans are only interested in their own sports. If they would like football, hockey, etc. like other parts of the world he would know the Netherlands is great at other sports as well. We also did great a couple of times in the baseball world championship, but I think that's after this interview.
@@MrDjTilo I did understand you, also I'm Dutch too hahah. I was just adding to your comment.
yes and the USA is 21 trillion in debt.
If our population scaled to the size of the US we would have a GPD of about 20 trillion USD, about 80% of US GDP. But the US economy is insanely inflated due to money printing, international finance, and stuff like healthcare being insanely expensive instead of having the government keep prices low like over here.
In terms of purchase power the median Dutch person has more spending money in their pocket at the end of the month. Which is kinda sad if you think about it. All those millions of people getting robbed even harder than us.
Fryslân boppe 😂...loved this
Two words, "Eric Heiden". Another two words, "Dutch Origin". Jason Stolz is original German. Jillert is a special guy and a lot of Dutch people have difficulties with him. He is the coach of Jason. I think he is funny. Why is the television guy screeming so loud? Is he standing on a highway? Great conversation, by the way. It looks like they both are having fun. Hansje Brinker was nice, but The Deltaworks are still epic. The biggest Multinational in the history was The VOC. More than Apple, , Microsoft, Google, X and Amazon together. They were also the biggest crooks ever, not a great achievement, but they made a lot of money and had incredible power. This was so funny. Other people stuggeling with Jillert for a change.
Jordan Stolz
@@thesiren6620 You are very right. The rest of my comment was okay? In Germany they will be very proud of Jordan. 👌😊😂
As you can hear, theyre outside and its windy, thats why they are speaking loudly...As for the American in the studio, thats just normal American tv talking volume.
@@TheSuperappelflap I didn't realize that. Stupid of me. It was still hilarious.
Heiden, sounds also as a dutch name :)
It probably is originally 😂
The rant about men going in circles needed just a one word answer: NASCAR... And the whole point of the coach was simple: the USA doesn't compete other countries in sports, it just makes it's own leagues and call it world series and such... And when they do they usually end up in the lower half of the rankings...
I loved the nascar argument ❤
Formula 1 comes to mind as something else.
Jordan Stolz (American) recently set a allround world record in a world championship.
So they learnt from this..
He's coached by Jillert Anema. So he learns from the best. Shani Davis won hs gold medals when coached by a Dutch team. The Japanese skaters have been medalling since they got a Dutch coach. China's skaters are coming up because...they hired a Dutch coach....so, yeah...And Eric Heiden? Dutch ancestry😄
@@roddo1955 thanks. Just goes to show that a great coach really helps them succeed.
@@Pleezath definitely. The coaches might be dutch but they are very aware they are representing another country when it comes to coaching. Note: Jiller doesn't coach him during races. Jordans' father travels with him.
Watch the americans change their tune when they find out about jordan stolz. he is already very well known in the netherlands. america is slowly catching up as the winterolympics are getting closer. That kid might win a ton of gold medals for the USA. and Jillert is one of his coaches!
Fair weather fans suck anyway. If you only like a sport when someone from your country is winning, youre not a fan. Max Verstappen fans please take note.
@@TheSuperappelflap hey super appelflap! We've met before!😄
@@TheSuperappelflap I think its still a shame that Shani Davis is considered a legend in the Netherlands but is totally unknown in the US.
@@roddo1955 the best story I've heard about Shani Davis is that growing up he thought ice skating was a black sport. And then he turned up to his first international race an he was the only black dude there. Great guy, very charismatic.
@@TheSuperappelflap I loved it when he refused to go on Oprah when she found out he was the first black person to win gold at the Olympics...AFTER the Vancouver games! Oprah! He was already an Olympic champion! She didn't know who he was and he's from Chicago...Oprah lived in Chicago when she had her show. He was known in Chicago and she didn't know him.
That's a Noprah!
Goed gezegd mien jong! 2 tegen 1 en jij blijft bij je eigen standpunt schitterend!
he is 100 % Dutch ..lol lol if there was a medal for oversized products the usa would have all of them !
Why didn't he mention soccer. :D At least that's played world wide and we have always been with the best of 'em.
They both seem quite aware of the entertainment value of drama in the tele. Those half hidden smirks..
Got one form Europe: why compete, you're our descendants and family, you're not Injuns or natitve, but we're not all English to hate either. (the Dutch actually helped with thy getting independence)
It's funny and hilarious! And ofcourse I think we as Dutch are very direct. And isn't Heiden a Dutch last name?
Hans Brinker is a story written bij some american writer. A fairytale, not a real event. And this person doesn't even know this simple fact.
Yep we’re Fu.fing annoying but we love it 😂
I think the Dutch and the US are looking in each other mirrors.
We’re basically the same.
Okie YT.
I never blame High
Im dutch but find speed skating super boring
I love This men . Puur ducht…❤❤❤❤😊
Nascar around and around in a car siting down en stil killing each other
Third tier country owned new Amsterdam what they now call new york 😂
😂😂😂😂
Racing in boring circles, that's so un-American... except when it's with cars.
american arrogance served
16 TRILLION!!!! (333 million people vs 17 million. He doesn't know how small a country we are...(and how smug we can be about our skating)).
But the interviewer is right about exciting football games. Even a highschool game is more fun to watch then speedskating. Seen one in Ohio, last year.
I wholeheartedly agree, ice skating is very boring to watch. But some people do like it and I sometimes just put it on in the background.
But, again, the Dutch make it fun like with Kleintje Pils (Little Beers). I live in the US and the tv channels all did tv segments about this fabulous Dutch brass band entertaining the entire crowd. They had everyone in the stadium singing Sweet Caroline, Gangnam Style, etc. Of course the Dutch will find the way to laughter and enjoyment!!
LMAO Look at the number of medals per person you have some 20x more people than we. You rank very low in the world.
They are both not so bright
Eric Heiden sounds pretty Dutch...
