Avkans E20 NDI PTZ Camera & Video Switcher Setup Tutorial & Review. In this video I will unboxing and setting up my new Avkans AV E-20 NDI PTZ camera with my Cinetreak Cinelive C1 live streaming video switcher. This PTZ camera supports hdmi output and SDI output and NDI. I will take you through the setup and installation process along with sharing with you the PTZ camera operation and features. We can connect and control this PTZ camera via NDI.

In this video I will be downloading and installing the Avkans PTZ camera software from the Avkans website that will allow us to control the PTZ camera and view the video source and access all the menu settings and controls.
I will also be downloading and installing the OBS NDI plugin so we can connect this PTZ camera to OBS software. This PTZ camera comes with a remote controller that will allow us to have full control of the PTZ camera. We can zoom in, auto focus and manual focus and auto exposure and manual exposure and auto white balance and manual white balance. With 20x optical zoom and 12x digital zoom this camera will allow us to zoom in really close to the subject.
This PTZ camera has a max resolution of 1920 x 1080p at 60p. The image quality is very impressive and it seems like the auto focus has been working really good. We can manually control the PTZ camera IRIS / aperture as wide open as F1.6 which will be fantastic in low light scenarios.
While connecting and controlling their Avkans PTZ camera via the Cinelive C1 video switcher, I have connected both the PTZ camera and video switcher via the same network internet IP address with the Ethernet cable and configuring the settings within the menu.
This Avkans E20 NDI video switcher has a 1/4” thread at the bottom of the camera base that will allow us to mount the camera to a tripod or stand or any other 1/4” mounting option. There are also 4 DIP switches located at the bottom of the PTZ camera that will allow us to configure the output format such as 1080p 60 or menu settings etc.

I connected it to the computer with NDI.
I downloaded and installed the “ NDI Tools “software

So I have a question I have the same set up, but I’m running two cameras and for some reason it only wants to work when I’m running the IP of my Internet. Is there a way you can run the IP just a device so you don’t have to have Internet to NDI stuff.

If I understand your question correctly. Yes you need internet to use the NDI function.
