Great work. When I get mine, I will definitely hit you up. It's amazing what we have access to and can do now with multiple cameras and accessories now. The power in our hands to create a variety of projects and be as creative as we want and control our own destiny. God is good.
I'm working on incorporating a PTZ camera for streaming ice hockey games. Your guide helped me realize some items I hadn't thought about and possibly resolve concerns I had.
Thank you AJay for making me aware of this camera, I picked up one and it was so easy to set up and I have control of most of the functions right from my joystick controller the church streams get lots of compliments for the quality, we have another PTZ that cost us about a hundred dollars more (by the way the E20 cost me $449 on Amazon Business price) and I am yet to get it to talk to the joystick, ( i got our RGBLINK switcher to control it) may even replace that one with the non NDI E20. Thank you for your review of affordable gear for media ministry keep up the excellent work. God Bless !
Thanks for letting me know about these PTZs. I use PTZ NDI 30x cameras at work for livestreaming, but I like the way these work and the quality. At this price I could consider purchasing a couple for myself.
which PTZ camera allows the video out to be sent via the ethernet cable to the joystick controller and from the the controller you may have the hdmi output on it that you can tap the video from? I want a PTZ camera that can send video via the ethernet cable at the same time control the camera using the joystick and at the same time power the camera.
I am hoping technologically one will be built soon by manufacturers. It will be nice to have a controller that will have hdmi ouput such that the video from the ethernet that comes into the controller can be tap from the controller's hmdi output for other purpose just like smart controllers for dji drones.@@AJaytheCEO
Nice. I just ordered this one as well as the $278 camera that you reviewed. Going to see how I can work them into the workflow for some future projects. Love the SER Mini PC box that you had in the shot. I have the Ryzen 7 32 gig version. It is a beast!!! Keep up the great work!!
Thank you so much for your review. Ajay. It supports Visca Over IP protocol, Ajay, you should add it by manual, enter the IP address of the camera, and visca port is 1259. Then you are good to go.
@@AJaytheCEO Thanks again. You could test SDI and HDMI with blackmagic ATEM series, I guess many audience would look forward to seeing it. :) BTW, what windows system you use? I saw the CMS software is not performing well and it outpus black and white color video. We didn't find this over pass years. We would love to find its reason and fix it.
I have the same question, looking to upgrade our church cameras in the next couple weeks, and would definitely buy this one if I can get ip control. Also thanks for all your content, it really helps and provides encouragement for the “church tech guy” for large and smaller churches
Thanks for the review...detailed review, if I may add. Thank you. A request: could you create a RUclips playlist of all cameras you have reviewed? So there is a single place to get all the cameras when one needs to quickly make a pick of camera(s) to buy. Though I see you have PLENTY of playlists already 😁
Awesome! Now we just need a box that converts multiple RTMP or NDI signals to multiple HDMI ports. That way we can connect one network cable to the esch PTZ cam but then have one cable to the box as well then we can connect short hdmi cables from the box to an ATEM. I would love for BMD to integrate NDI and Dante to thier ATEMs but I doubt it will ever happen.
Issue to consider is latency differences between connection types. Then, with NDI, we bring all camera videoed feeds directly into OBC PC (obviously need 1GbE network, preferably isolated/protected) .. no need for a switcher
In terms of things to test on this and other PTZ cameras, my suggestions would be motor movement (which you do already show), then show auto-focus at typical Sanctuary distances, most importantly in low light (thinking candle lit procession during Silent Night). I love our Panasonic 1080p 20X NDI camera, but adding more cameras at similar price isn’t an option. But I need to know if low-light video quality is good enough
We have a long sanctuary. We just only want one camera with PTZ capabilities. Which camera should we get? How do you know how long in feet is 20x Zoom etc? Any help is appreciated AJ. Thanks for all your videos!
I ended up acquiring this camera and so far the learning curve has not been too steep thanks to this video. I use a stream deck for controlling functions in OBS. My budget didn't allow for a joystick, but using Bitfocus Companion was a means to connect the PTZ controls to the camera. The port number has to be set to TCP 1259(CameraCMS Software->Remote configuration->Protocol->Protocol->TCP) in order to connect to the VISCA PTZ Optics connection on Bitfocus. Once the camera is connected, and buttons assigned, the stream deck can do basic joystick functions, presets, zoom.
I have enjoyed my AVKANS auto tracking camera. Their customer support is helpful. I have not been able to connect it to my joystick either though. However it still might add this one since the price is nice.
This camera doesn't support Hislity onvif controller(it seems they are having different onvif protocols, when we use ONVIF Device Manager, avkans camera can be controlled well), but it works well with AVKANS joystick controller, and PTZoptics controllers. You should add it by manual, enter the IP address of the camera, and visca port of camera is 1259, then you can connect it and control it.
You should add this tracking camera by manual, the tracking camera doesn't support serach function over VISCA protocol. You could get helps by contacting their support, they will help you to fix your issue.
Live streaming church service. Which camera would work just using POE ? Main camera is AVKANS 30x non NDI using a joystick and running OBS 30 software on a Mac mini M1. Would like to add 2 cameras and control all 3 cameras with the Joystick. Will any of these cameras work for us? Thanks for your videos
Hey Ajay .. hey just wondering on the video you did call " how my church leverage social media" do you still use all those social media .. or is their a update version to that video ? Just wanted to know if their are any flaws on any of the social because when the video was made I certainly acknowledge that all social talk about in that video was perfect and very much good for all churches to be on . Soo please do tell if I should use the video to connect my church to all those platforms and to have the appropriate correct content on each platform. Thanks
Thanks brother for giving us this information, I've seen the whole video, it's great! I have a VHD-V61 camera that is very good for me, in the sense that the light does not contrast with the shadows, with a very professional quality similar to the PTZOptics-20X-SDI PTZ IP, my question is if the image quality can match these models, because the price is a great deal on the model you present. thank you for doing this great job, god bless you

Hello there. Great video. Perhaps you could help me out. What type of camera/equipment would you recommend for streaming a soccer game (full size field)? Ideally I should be able to pan, tilt and zoom remotely. Any advice will be greatly appreciated. Thanks
This will depend on if the camera will be covered. A PTZ would work but you need ND filters (sunglasses) for the camera to block the sun. Sadly I have not seen a PTZ with ND filters under $2500.
