I have seen a lot of tutorials on patterns, yours looks like the best method so far, and no distortion on curves, great!

I can't be the only person that thinks this - tutorials are so much easier to follow if you just say what you are doing, rather than music (even just without the music would be an improvement). Seriously, the 'follow the bouncing cursor' is like trying to decode a tutorial while watching a 'shell game' - I have to pause the video to see which button you actually ended up clicking.
Don't get me wrong, I really appreciate the effort and it probably contains everything I would need to know, if only I could follow it. I am just imploring you (and others) to just keep it simple, and say what you are doing, it seems to make for easier to follow videos that require less than half the time and are a joy to watch rather than being had work.
    Thanks just the same.
    Cheers, Andrew
PS: if it's a language thing, I totally understand, but the message would remain true for others. Thanks.

You just blew my mind selecting all the features and doing the rest of he mesh, my mind would never discover this by myself. GREAT!!

An easier way would be to use the mirror function to get the first layer and then use the pattern function. Saves time.

The tutorial could be better. Showing what the final product is as soon as the video starts is a good idea, but given the name of the video, you'd be better off just skipping to the part when you make the mesh. On a flat plane, for example. Then, you can show a practical example like the one in the video.
For people looking for tutorials, everything but the "making circle, extrude, repeat pattern along path, repeat" is non-essential, you could cut it out. The less of the viewer's time you're wasting, the better. (And goodness, drop the EDM)
Besides that, nice video. Keep up the great work.

Great Video ... It would be just awesome if you could possibly show how its done for a circular pattern .... like a speaker grille.

@Halon750, hi! i know it's been 3 years, but i happened to be working on a speaker grille in fusion for my middle school project, all you've got to do is make a hole on the object, preferably the edge, then select the pattern option, and instead of selecting the PATH option, select the CIRCLE option, adjust a few parameters, and your done! hope this helps.

I don't know what I designed with this video.
But the fact that I was able to follow and make it is amazing.
    Thanks.
    Question:
Why did u skip the play, pause, stop button?
I mean, I probably know how to do it with the scratch and extrude, but.. it was weird that you cut this part at the end.

Open Inventor. Grill you use in plastic details. Very interesting and useful function.

Can you elaborate on what you mean?

    • @josipandresic881
      @josipandresic881 4 года назад

@@Zhexss you don't have to cut holes in a solid if you use a texture with white background and black dots. Or you can use not black, but completely transparent dots in a png file. Then apply texture to affect the transparency of a solid and black parts which is zero value will be completely transparent and white parts (value = 1) will remain visible. The method he has shown is still good as you can't UV map the texture in Fusion to get circles to flow nicely around those fillets.
