Agreed. This isn't a difficult project, but it's a pain if you don't have a press. I can say that price aside it is mich easier all around going to delrin. You can just drill out the oem bushings and press them right out to a trash barrel. Clean up the housings with a rag and some degreaser, or even slap some Napa aluminum brightener on the control arms while they're out. But the delrins (Borg AF) have perfect tolerances and slide right in with hand pressure or a gentle mallett tap. Their pins go in with the same ease. I'll let you know how they feel in the spring. Rocking RideTech HQs but seeking Viking Berzerkers when the project is done.

Thanks! On my 04 Z06 I have what I think is sever wheelhop. Changed the shocks and its not improved at all. Added a diff mount w/poly bushing and its much better. But I seem to get wheel hop at the smallest of tire slip. I'm wondering if a set of poly bushings would help.. I'd think it has to at least mostly remove that part of the deflection thats taking place.
Hey when your done I want to know if you see reduced wheel hop. (I see it all through 1st and also on a hard 1-2 shift)

Also.. for a street car that sees 99% street, long road trips in the mountians, and the drag strip once or twice a yr... what your opinion on a coil over conversion?

I'm still catching up your previous videos on your C5 in that I'm looking to purchase a twin to yours from the original owner and even though it has super low miles I'm thinking a lot of what you're doing should be done or at the bare minimum inspected very closely. Save the Wave 🙋‍♂

Since it's all coming apart for the work and an alignment expense will be incurred, great time to update your end links. Or if you're thinking performance I always tout the night and day difference on these cars going to coilovers.

The amount of friction in your upper control arm is worrying. I hope that wears in. That adds a lot to your effective minimum shock rate. Ideally it should droop under the weight of the arm.

i bent my c6 zo6 rear upper control arm using the scissor jack to press out the old bushings.. now it wont line up with bolt holes

Watching your efforts and trials is fun. But, I feel compelled to say, poly bushings are not the way to go. My experience, they fail, disintegrate fast, your smiles are going to be short lived. I purchased my first vette 44yrs ago. I'm a old fart thats seen a lot. Do your homework, ( FIRST ) you'll find im correct. But at least you now know its not too difficult to change them out. . .. . Wishing you success 👍

Hey bro, just reaching out to the c5 RUclips community. I have a new product being developed and designed, and wanted to know if it's something you guys would be into. It's a c5 Corvette digital speedometer gauge cluster. As of right now, I'm only trying to achieve two different cluster displays designs. an aggressive front having a almost identical layout to the c8 and then a traditional layout... still working on designs. But would retail anywhere from
700-800 USD im trying to get prices cut down but as of right now that's where l'm at in price. I'm a small company right now just trying to see how my product will do. And if I have the c5 RUclips community along side it, we'll hopefully will grow and make more products to you guys that will modernize the car. Have many plans going forward and are hoping the RUclips community will help me go forward with it.
