Here’s a interesting fact scatter pins connected with chains women wore them in the 50’s with sweaters when they put over shoulders the pins kept them from falling off !!! 😄💗
@@Rachelakalilyworks Your very welcome so when you get more you can sound educated lol 😂 I enjoy your precious enthusiasm when you get excited it warms my heart ❤️ keep it up !!! 😃👏👏👏
Yes I normally "like" when i see your video and then go back and watch when i have time 🥰 thanks for sharing your trip with your precious family- and Gideon just gazing at the tadpoles, be still my heart!
❤Guilty of liking right away and watching in chapters when the kiddos are entertaining themselves 😂. Such a beautiful haul. Looking forward to the rest. Your children are adorable! Gideon checking out the tadpoles was so heartwarming and those sweet girls are so brave! Thanks for sharing!
Fun, fun pieces...glad you braved the rude people! My Great Aunt had THAT hinged berry cuff, I remember it! I think those buckle pins are sash pins from the 1900-1920 they were worn to hold the fabric belt or together (Maybe even the skirt binding had a mini-belt.) I wonder if they were even used on suit jackets as a fake belt buckle. I saw these a bit in old fashion design books, but don't remember all the ways they were worn.
Wowow- definitely worth dealing with rude owners 😆 The foil glass brooch (easter egg) is Czech and sometimes referred to as Harlequin glass as it resembles harlequin opal. Im still shocked at all the amazing pieces you found!!!
Gorgeous Scaperelli style earrings!! yes!! Also can be called Watermelon, right? I’ll have to go find that video where the lady does a whole show on it! Such GORRRRRRGEOUSSSSS PIECES!! I’M LIKE SCREAMING! You go girl!!! 🙌🏼 At 1:06 Could be 9k gold. You think?
Had to watch this in parts cuz life has been crazy busy! But I LOVED that big copper bracelet!! Do you ever put cuff links on a shirt and photograph them that way for listings?
Well I guess this was worth squatting on the floor for! Amazing how people can own a business and be so rude. Glad you were able to get a good haul. You got some beauties 😊
Yes! Lots of copper was made here in the North back in the day. Nice pinecones brooch! I need to know what camera you use? Would you mind sharing? I am constantly tapping on my older iphone screen when I’m recording, to get it to refocus! I lose so much fun while recording because I have to keep refocusing! i just ordered a neweR iPhone and I’m hoping it will help. But still… i love the way your camera focuses on its OWN!
@@RachelakalilyworksMaybe I should email you about what camera you use? I’ve been waiting with baited breath for our answer about what camera you use. I’m back today to see if you responded. Can’t see that well but cuff at TS 34, could it be Goldstone? @58 Scrimshaw, I believe, is the art work. It can be on whale bone, other bone, ivory, etc. It’s really big here in Mass, and esp New Bedford where all the whaling was, back in the day. I lived gong to the whaling museum when I was in school! Fell in love with all things Scrimshaw. 👍🏼
Some alloy metals can hold the 10k. I think the best bet is to check the quality of the other materials including stone, prongs, and joins. I don't have any other method for testing 10k
YES Jeane, I get the same confusion about 10K solution and pieces. Agree with our very knowledgeable Rachel, that taking in all of the clues is important. But i still have several pieces that text 10K and am still not sure UGh
Are you sure that those stones are not Swarovski? You know how Swarovski sometimes does pieces for certain designers...they sure shine like Swarovski...

Does anyone have an issue with their 10k solution staying on pieces that aren’t actually 10k? and if so, any suggestions on how to test for 10 k?
