The problem with the "take them at their word" approach *in this case* (obviously we should've taken Hitler seriously and literally) is that the CCP has been saying that they will invade Taiwan (eventually) for over half a century now. It's been so frequent that citizens of the Soviet Union made a running joke of the phrase "China's last warning" all the way back in the 60s and 50s. What complicates the issue for Free World policy makers is that a threat from Beijing is an empty threat - until it isn't.
Also why do we take china at their word - as far as I know they never said they wanna only reunite militarily. They always say they "wanna reunite, ideally peacefully". Which ofc includes the possibility of military action. Now compare to Ukraine. It rejected Minsk II and said it rather fights for Donbass instead of getting it back through the peace deal. Ukraine officially said it is not gonna do Minsk II and it officially said it is going to "militarily" (not by all means necessary, but specifically by force) take back Donbass and Crimea. What exactly did people expect from that? That Russians don't listen to them? That the Russian intelligence services don't see that the Ukrainians build up an ever stronger army?
What funny is Taiwan wasn't an independent country. It was the part of China the nationalists took over after they lost on the mainland. They then commenced a program of state terror that killed thousands over many years.
Indeed. We in the US have to wake up to the fact that trying to go and negotiate and open up markets with nations like this have extreme risk. Russia’s actions in 2014 should have been the wake-up call for Europe but they didn’t act. Now they are facing the consequences of that inaction. If they had acted, maybe the message would have been sent that there is a line Russia should not ever dare cross. It is a massive $40 Billion dollar project, so it won't be built overnight. But, once it is built, it will be a game changer for chip production and security.
The USA sat at the table of power alone, for decades. Now we will see if they are willing to share by adding two seats. If not,we are in a pickle.
Interesting times we are living in.
"...and that's off the table".
You say that like it is a bad thing.
i can't understand this because it was sped up above the speed of cognition. would've been better to edit out snippets if you need to bring the length down
Or better yet, just not mess with it at all. I can’t stand that kind of editing.
I wish this lady was my cool aunt that I could smoke a joint and share a bottle of wine with on her back porch and argue this stuff.
The only woman Ben Shapiro and Eminem fear.
America's duopoly is not much better.
This lady is whip smart
Say, your planning a colour revolution without saying it.
This woman still lives in the past 😅😅😅
Did she snort some lines before this or is this sped up?

I was commenting on the Monty Hall Problem; found a reference to some sort of stablity solution related to nuclear war. That is a joke, you don't choose stability when you AND your opponent are absolutely certain you are the best thing since sliced bread. You choose destruction. Fuck your games. I'd rather be dead.
Funny how this video was almost un listenable, weird right, like they did not want anyone to hear what she said. I don't know, ODD
Please do a long form podcast with Jordan Peterson!
Why isn’t this woman running our State Department? Or…,
I'm having trouble following at Bene Gesserit speed
This lady has opinions...
Based on facts.
The PRC needs the ROC/Taiwan for access to investment capital, technology and financial rule of law.
Actually China are offering Taiwan incentives to have factories on the mainland which makes a lot of sense as Taiwans largest trading partner. Why invade when you can purchase it outright.
bizarre speeded up ruins this video.
FJB and this scarecrow too
Why do they care what people think? Ive seen countries where about 90% population is agains the leadership, but so what? As long as gov maintains strong control, the opinion of the 90% doesn't matter.
And Biden is very clear in his messaging
Bro, who is this sage woman. Her insights are amazing.
I guess, omce a business expands enough to move away from where it originated - particularly to markets that opperate in very different ways - their concept of how to operate changes.
Since some Chinese based companies have expanded wetwards, it seez that the Chinese market place may have room to change by taking on other ideas.
The Chinese people can influence political decisions. They can join the party
If you are a party leader, aren't you want to hold on your power?

Bro watches four screen tik tok vids
The problem is, that Taiwan is actually a Chinese province:Formosa. When MAO took over, the old government withdrew onto this province. So, historically China has an argument……
