@@DeployJeremy I feel you completely. Its not too bad investing into some of the cheaper options to “try out” and assess performance and related “endorsibilty” . But at the higher end gonna have to be way more strategic!
Glad to find your channel, Jeremy! I just was about to ask for the OSBBOT Tiny 4K. Very curious about what you think about it. Also, what mic and Mount are you using?
You did leave out one of the best budget webcams in the past several years. It is the Aukey LM1E...great 1080p picture and very good audio. Excellent in low light. Plug and play simple hook-up..
Thanks for making this, I know it's expensive to do stuff like this as I'm in the same boat and do what I can to contribute so that others don't walk into a purchase blindly.
It seems we have very similar interests with understanding web cam performance and perhaps similar investments into the Sony eco system. I’m running an a6100 with the same sigma glass - which I think is great with a capture card. But trying to find the right recommendation to friends who are looking for max quality at most reasonable cost. Sounds like the ev might be worth a closer look.
Interesting, so you need UVC cameras that work on Android/Linux that look good out of the box (no apps to tune the image). I haven't tried or thought of this.
Funny that you recommend the Streamcam over the C922X Pro when the Streamcam looked like the worst in the bunch on your quad-split screen. I love that the Elgato doesn't have a built-in mic, but I've yet to see a good side-to-side comparison where the Elgato does not look bad. It is also notorious for showing flicker.
I got the MOKOSE 4k with 5-50mm tele lens, and its hands down the best web camera you can get in that price range. Also if you want that supersharp image you can use its manual focus, shutterspeed, and zoom on the lens.
And this video is innnnnn...Yep. 1080p.. Surely to show the quality of what these cameras are capable of, the video should be recorded in the highest quality (4K) I use the Avermedia cam and it looks nothing like what was produced in this video. My streaming is pin sharp and the colours are true... Brilliantly true. 👍🏽
I have a first generation M1 macbook. I've moved on from 2 of the webcams reviewed though (but gained a few others). I could do all the Logitechs, OBSBOT PTZ, Zoom Q2n and the Dell UltraSharp (if the Dell supports MacOS)
Great video man! I just purchased the zv-e10 and really debating which lens to get. Sigma 16mm or the 30mm like your using for your shot. I’m using it to live stream and want to know how far did you place the camera and tripod wit the 30mm lens? I’m using a 52inch ikea desk. Thanks! Also have you done a studio Sergio tour? Would LOVE to see your setup. Thank you!
Glad you liked it. My ZV-E10 is just behind my main monitor and about 3-4 feet away from me. Since I have the 35mm prime lens on my A7 next to it, it is a good combo for me and I'm trying to keep the frame relatively narrow. You can sort of see my desk in the beginning of my Zoomit video (forgive the audio). It might be the same deal you have.
The Dell untrasharp tends to work well if you have a solid background with no objects behind you, i.e. a solid wall, green screen etc. If you have it with just a normal room behind you it goes all over the place I've found.
I just ordered the elgato & the logitec streamcam to compare.....you are spot-on, I found the elgato sharper & its lens has a wider angle to look slimmer 😉
I think the Sigma lens also has better autofocus vs. the Samyang. It needs it with the F1.4 aperture, because basically the focal range at 1 meter is about the distance between the tip of my nose to my ears.
Thanks for the video! I have the Dell and got the facecam after this video. Do you mind sharing your settings for the facecam? Too many tweaks for me. Also, if you also have the settings in OBS I would love to have it. I'll be using this to stream on twitch. Thanks!
Nice! The settings really depend on your camera placement, room, lighting, clothing and skin tones to be honest. I do show settings here ruclips.net/video/GZ1KlseRpew/видео.html. I tend to do as much possible on the camera side and just minor tweaks in OBS usually with Gamma (I tend to lower it a tiny bit) and Hue depending on how pink or yellow the camera looks (go a tiny bit negative if too pink, and positive if too yellow).
Great great video. I have the brio and want to upgrade. Not sure if I should just go zve 10? Do you use the zve 10 for photos and more than just zoom calls?
Thanks Derek. At the moment, I just use it for streaming, because I have a few other Sony cameras that I can use for photos away from my desk. All of the alphas are also very good cameras.
Just wanted to let you know this was really helpful video, i was very confused to which webcam to buy and you helped me make that decision. Just one question in India, there's only C922 pro and not c922x pro- so are those two same?
great video -- can you share your input on what is a good connector to use for computer and your sony camera? i'm having trouble deciphering reviews on amazon
If I were to set up the church itself, bare minimum would be a three camera setup using Sony ZV-E10s and OBS to switch between a tight shot on the alter/speaker, wide shot to stage and an audience wide shot. Then you'd need someone to act as a director and switch feeds during the service.
Great video! I want to ask, I just bought the Sony VLOG ZV1 which I'll use to record videos, but it seems so complicated for set up for streaming for zoom calls etc. mainly due to battery life power. I film a lot of our zoom calls and load them into our courses for students and wanting a great option for zoom for video quality. I'm currently Using the Logitech c920 and not sure what is a better upgrade? I was hoping the zv1 could do it but the battery Issue and complexity of set up when I'm using it for other things turned me off a bit.
The ZV-1 is also a great camera. I would recommend getting a dummy battery for it and a capture card, like an Elgato Camlink 4k. At least try it before spending the additional money on the ZV-E10.
I'd really like to know which one of these cams is great for low-light to almost no light situations? Not necessarily into the IR night cam lenses either. (i also see the ISO is adjustable) does this help?
On most webcams, exposure adjustment will impact frame rate. If you need very low light, I would opt for a full frame or crop frame proper camera. Something with a big sensor, the new Razer Kiyo Pro Ultra or Elgato Facecam Pro (maybe Nexigo Iris) are likely going to be the only classic webcams that do well in super low light.
How did I just watch a 10 minute video in only 14:51? 😉 The Mokose cameras come in HDMI and SDI versions that do let you change frame rate and ISO. The c100 has USB, HDMI and a 256GB capable micro SD slot. Have a great day and be safe out there!
Thanks! I might have to try out the HDMI Mokose after seeing your videos. And yes, I thought it was going to be 10 minutes until I was about halfway through my timeline in post :) ...and I didn't want to cut out the bonus 3 mirrorless cameras.
@@DeployJeremy I get the time thing. I find it difficult to say the things I want to get out in a short video. Have a great night and be safe out there!
I wonder how the xbox kinect v2 compares to a lot of these. That is what I am using alongside original razer kiyo. I am probably going to buy the stream cam and face cam at some point too.
That would be a good test. I don't have a Windows compatible Kinect to try. Does your Kiyo focus hunt a lot? Or have they corrected that with drivers or firmware?
@@DeployJeremy I mean you just get the adapter. I got a kinect for $20, and another a week later idk why lol for $10, then it is just an $18 adapter. You would need one for any one s or one x too. Series x doesn't work with them btw As for the kiyo oh yeah it always has that issue still.

The kit lens should be fine, but don't expect crazy bokeh effect in a small space, for that your lens tends to need to be capable of f2.0 Aperture or less. Looks like the EOS RP is capable of clean HDMI out, so you should be set.
@@saints2551 so you're using the Canon for the wall art? Assuming the kit lens is a 16-50mm zoom lens or similar, it is probably your best bet compared to a prime lens. You can use the lens optics to change the field of view.
Fwiw, I world use the Canon for all of your shots if your workflow permits it. It will outperform any webcam and I've almost literally tested all high end webcams 🙂
@@DeployJeremy yes what i mean is that putting yourself side by side at the same time with the 2 cams the brio made u look younger and slimmer as would be the same case if u were to do it now
I'm saying I filmed that Brio clip about 6 months earlier than the others last Summer, then the others were closer to the holidays. So a little of that may be the wider angle lens with a slight bit of lens distortion and most of it is probably because I was actually slimmer last summer. 🙂
