    Great video! It's dang hard work! I've had horses for many yrs.....in my neck of the woods, spring/summer is all about cleaning up after winter, then building/repairing and getting ready for winter once again haha That's the rhythm up here. Just spent 6 hrs getting the pole barn set for the year's hay supply coming next week. The Work Never Ends!! But these beautiful animals are so worth it. Keep up the good work!! 👍👍🐴🐴

    We had a problem with mud sparrows building nests on the sprinklers on our balcony, so my husband hung 6” x 6” strips of aluminum foil on two sides of the sprinkler down from the ceiling using duct tape (of course lol) and it has worked like a charm! No more nests, no harm to the birds and the balcony stays clean 👍 Maybe something like this can help you with your birds and lights issue?

    Love it when we're lucky enough to catch someone riding in the arena! I honestly thought Buster was going to pull the camera down. 😂
    I'm with your client on this one - that new light DID make all the difference. Nothing worse than coming home after work to ride in the fall when it gets dark earlier in the evening and trying to make sure you didn't miss anything when you were grooming and tacking up your horse. I remember when I was in my 20s going for a couple of moonlight rides with a beautiful full moon above - harder to do when you're trying to tack your horse up. I was a little worried about Ebony's light too because she's so cute when she sticks her head over the top of her stall to say hello to the other horses. Unfortunately, I'm also one of those mothers who kept one eye on her kid at all times when they were growing up to make sure he didn't impale himself on something, so I try not to make my insane worries someone else's. Doesn't always work though. 😂
    Thank you Joel for being such an awesome guy and a wonderful business owner and a BIG thank you to whoever sent that massive box of gloves to him! I use gloves to clean the house and mess with raw meat when I'm cooking and they aren't that cheap, so I'm thrilled for Joel since I'm sure there will be a lot of sunblock getting applied this summer. 😊

    Three 65 inch flat panels, 2 computers, washer, dryer, fridge, dishwasher, outdoor lights, inside lights...........Electric bill $180 a month. I switched all the inside and outside bulbs to LED bulbs. I switched all the ceiling light bulbs to dimmable led lights. I put two LED light strips in the garage. Electric bill now... about $130 a month. That's one huge savings.
    Add some LED bulbs of all kinds to your Amazon wish list. Save money at the stable.

    • @marilynnorourke56
      @marilynnorourke56 Месяц назад +2

      Great ideas.,I'm glad to hear you dropped your bill Here's another tip Get a folding clothes rack,put wet clothes on it and let clothes dry till they are about 70% dry and then throw in dryer. You only run your dry 10 to 15 mins and your clothes will be just as soft and fluffy. saves about 75% of the cost of running your dryer.

    • @thekingtroll2
      @thekingtroll2 Месяц назад

      @@marilynnorourke56 I have two clothes lines. One is the good old fashioned line my grandfather made way back in 1980 and it still holds true. The second line is in my 2 1/2 car garage. It's in a metal container about 3 feet wide. It had a metal handle on it. You grab the handle and walk it across the garage to 2 hooks and put the handle up over them. Then you can hang your clothes out even on a rainy day.
      None of my sheets or pillow cases have ever seen a dryer. I can hang them in my garage, even in the winter and they dry just fine. My grandmother used her wringer washer and hung out all her laundry. After she passed away, no one wanted it so I have it in my garage. It's great for huge comforters or sleeping bags.
      Your idea would save people a lot of money if they didn't have a drying rack now, it would pay for itself within a month.

    I grew up on a small beef farm and we rotated the pasture areas by fencing off with the small nylon electric fence. When we moved the cattle to another section, dad would go through the recently vacated pasture section with our old sickle bar mower that he kept for this purpose. It did a great job of dragging the manure flatter and thinner so it would decompose really quickly. Maybe this would be an option for the big field.

    Well with hay burners; cattle, horses, deer, elephants, donkeys... you get hay/foliage going in and hay coming out. It just looks a little worse for the wear and tear coming out, but it is great for growing more plants... I don't love the smell or stepping in it with my "going to town" shoes on. But it is part of country life. More importantly we need more Veggie/Stable boys & girls. You know what I mean, the next generation of humans needs to keep coming. Plus babies are so cute, right?
